How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1997 Honda Accord EX?
I am assuming this headlight is on the passenger side. I own a 96 Accord which is the same as a 97. the right headlight (low beam) is located in front the intake ( a black plastic part) which is right next to your battery. To change the low-beam head light bulb, remove the intake plastic cover (it is actually a tube), then remove the bad bulb by disconnecting the 9006 connector and twist the holder. After replacing the bulb, twist the holder back and reconnect the 9006 connector, install the intake cover and you are done. It is recommended to change both bulbs at the same time, however this is not required.
More Information:
The directions are above are great. except when twisting the holder it may stick. I found that taking a screwdriver and placing it on the little protruding black plastic piece and hitting it gently with a hammer will loosen the holder up. When looking at the holder from the front of the car it will turn to your right.
Responses from people who used this answer:
This was extremely helpful. I also had to tap the connector with hammer and screwdriver to remove it from the 9006 bulb connector wire. The rotating lock washer will not rotate the unlocked position while the connector is still on the 9006 bulb. Thank You.
Thanks to all ! These answers worked for me, I have a 96 Accord EX with a passenger side lamp out, I follow these suggestions and it was changed with in minutes with a little elbow grease. The hammer and screw driver suggestion was invaluble. Thanks again all !!!
This worked quite well for me. One thing to note: the 9006 lamp (bulb) itself won't turn, but the larger, dark gray locking ring does turn to release it. In other words, the connector for the bulb is initially pointing downward toward the ground, and it will remain that way after you turn the locking ring a quarter turn or less.
One answer above, the user talked about using a screwdriver to gently tap off the connector, while other users were talking about tapping off the lock ring. Works for both as I just did it for both. Also, if not sure which way the lock ring rotates, take a gander at it. There is a white or gray tab that sticks up in a curved slot. When the ring is in the locked position, the tab will be at one end of this curved slot that travels around it. Lastly, this lock ring doesn't come off to remove bulb, it simply rotates to the unlocked position, then the bulb will come right out. Easy job.
I signed up for this just to say thank to everyone for this info. The manual doesn't explain that you have to tap the circular locking mechanism with flat head and hammer. I spent 20 minutes trying to muscle the bulb to turn. You gotta love the internet. :)
What would cause a speedometer on a 1998 Honda Accord to freak out?
It sounds like your speed sensor has gone bad. You can pick one up at a salvage yard for about $50 +/- (Take it to a shop and make sure.) If the sensor is not bad check your electrical wiring.
Is there a special air bleed procedure when you replace antifreeze in a 1992 Honda Accord?
After you drain and refill, turn on the heater all the way hot. Then after 5 minutes open the bleed bolt on the thermostat housing to bleed the air out. - - - - - The way I always do it is to open the bleed bolt (12mm deep well socket), turn the heat on full, then add coolant to the radiator while watching the bleed bolt. When coolant comes out of it, add just a little more to the radiator, and close the bleed bolt. Don't get stupid with the torque; it's an aluminum bolt screwed into an aluminum fitting, which means it can't take a lot of force. Just get it snug. Put on the radiator cap and you're done.
How do you change the CV boots on a 1998 Nissan Sentra?

P1155: Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
The sensor is on the Bank 1 throttle body with electrical connection. Its a delicate sensor. Unscrew it from the throttle body and check if its dirty, spray it with electronic cleaner with care. If its damaged, just replace it.
If its not rectified, the car computer may default the air temperature to 20 degC and the air flow will not be correct and may have the following effect:
1. You might have difficulty in winter startups 2. Loss fuel efficiency (air/fuel ratio is messed up)/NOx problems/failed emission test/prematured catalytic converter replacement etc.
CLARIFICATIONAn Air Fuel Ratio Sensor is also known as Wide Range Oxygen Sensor.Bank 1 Sensor 1 is mounted in the exhaust header before the Catalytic Converter (CC). The ECU uses the signal from the AF sensor to adjust Air/Fuel ratio. On V6 and V8 engines there is a second AF Sensor in the other header. (Bank 2 Sensor 1).
After the CC there is a narrow range O2 sensor called Bank 1 Sensor 2. It monitors the CC. If there are two CCs there is a second O2 sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
The AF Sensor draws about 3 amps so check connections. The heater is a resistor between the B+ and HT terminals of the plug. On V engines there is also a AF relay to check.
I found the above info else ware on the web. I have the code intermittently on my 2001 V6 Sienna. If I ever get a day off I am going to troubleshoot mine and will report the results.
PS I may have answered this twice. I think I lost the first one.

How do you change the cabin filter on a 2008 Honda Accord?
Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filer. It comes with detailed instructions. On my 2004 Accord it is located behind the glove box. You simply open the glove box, disconnect the hanger on the right side, squeeze the glove box enough so it will fall down, and then remove the filter located in the back. 2008 may or may not be the same.
It is not going to be cheap. The heater core itself and hose are not that expensive, but the labor costs to replace it are steep, due to the time needed. This repair is very labor intensive. The price will vary greatly depending on who repairs it and where you live. My advice is to call around and get some estimates. Be prepared to be shocked by the estimates you get.
P1166 code on a 2000 Honda accord?
Trouble code P1166 means: Gauge control module lost communication with Adaptive Front lighting unit(AFS message)
The Engine Immobilizer Indicator Light is supposed to flash continually when your key is removed from the ignition because it is part of the security/alarm system. The engine immobilizer is the " kill switch " that will not allow the engine to be started without your key which has a microchip in the top ( the black part of the key ). When the EII Light is flashing it indicates that that part of the alarm system is active and working. If the light does not blink when key is removed THEN it needs to be fixed.
How do you reset the oil or mainentance light on a 2006 Honda Accord?
Place the key into the #2 position (do not start engine). With the oil remaining light showing on the odometer, press and hold reset post for 10 seconds until it starts blinking, then let go. Press it again for 5 seconds and it should reset back to 100%.
What is the maximum tolerable temperature for the radiator of a Honda Accord 2002 to work properly?
Should run approx. 220 Cooling fan should come on at 235
Why does my drive light blinks on your Honda Odyssey?
It's a warning to have your transmission checked. May need a fluid change, or worse. It happens with my '04 Odyssey after I get on the freeway, but only if I have to floor it which engages the passing gear.
You should not be worried at all because the car is covered by full warranty - Take it back to the dealer RIGHT NOW and get this fixed. Improper air pressure in tires will greatly affect your ability to fully control any vehicle in an emergency situation. Since nobody can predict when an emergency situation will arise, it must always be of concern when driving.
Why does the abs light randomly come on?
There is a problem with the Anti-Lock Brake system. another problem is that the abs sensor is aprt of the wheel hub assembly and it is beginnig to go out it well mess with the sensor had this happen 2 times on my 97
What would cause a 1998 Buick Regal GS to shut off after running for ten seconds?
Check MAF sensor and connector plug at the air cleaner, and fuel pump and relay, if you can get someone there to put a code reader on it you can find out exactly what it is.
fuel cap may need to be replaced its not holding pressure and setting the light on check with dealer they can test it right there
How do you replace an oil pressure sensor on a 1992 Honda Accord EX?

Can you put full synthetic oil in a 2005 honda accord?
Yes, and you can even mix it with conventional oil.
Are synthetic transmission fluid in your Honda accord V6 automatic transmission ok?
Honda specifies the use of genuine Honda ATF Z1 only. Any substitute may cause shifting problems. I would not use any other fluid period. Synthetic may be fine but I am not 100% sure so my advice is stick with Honda ATF Z1. You can ask your Honda dealer, but if he say use synthetic get it in writing or your warranty may be void.
