98 gt wont start wrecked it into a curb no physical damage?

Some cars have a fuel cut-off switch that upon an impact kills power to the fuel pump. From my experience it doesn't take much of an impact to trigger this switch. Most vehiles with this feature have a reset switch located inthe trunk area.

Will 1990 Honda prelude seats fit in your 1988 crx si?

Anything can fit with a pan swap...if you got the time and the knowledge. They may be too wide of a seat as well to fit in any crx. If your looking to straight unbolt and rebolt up...NO...they don't fit and won't without modifications.

Your 99 Chevy 4.3 wont start when damp?

sounds like you have moisture in the distributer. easiest way to remove is to take distributor cap off and dry with a hair dryer,u also need to dry inside of distributer while cap is off. if you have the time to leave cap off in a warm place for a day or so, most moisutre will evaporate out

Ignition coil shorting to surrounding metal or dead. Open top shroud and look and listen for spark to be taking a short cut to ground instead of going to distributor cap. If you see a spark or hear it crackle, that's it.

Another good way to remove and/or prevent moisture problems in your distributor is to spray the inside of the distributor cap with silicone spray. WD40 spray works too.

How do you identify Honda ZC heads?

There are both SOHC and DOHC ZC engines. The non-VTEC SOHC ZC is similar to the D16A6 ('91 - '96) and D16Y4 ('96-2000) engine, but with more aggressive cam timing.

The DOHC ZC is similar to the D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16A9 and D16Z5 engines. there are two DOHC heads "brown top" and "black top" which comes form the color of the valve cover. the brown top has the valve cover studs located in the center, over the cams. were the black top has them around the edges of the valve cover. not on the top/center. the heads them selves are the same and interchangeable and you can also use a 88-89 integra d16a1 head. however the ZC has more aggressive cams then the D16A1 does.

What would cause an 87 Honda CRX Si to flood after setting for a short time or setting overnight Car is hard to start followed by gas odor and rough idle sputter for about 30 seconds and then runs ok?

Answer

1987... I guess it could have a carburator. So if it does, maybe the carb. is leaking down the intake. That would do it.

An 1987 SI is fuel injected. It sounds like the injectors are leaking down. The smell and "sputter" are caused by the cylinder(s) being flooded from leak down. Try this...let the car sit for awhile, while waiting remove the plugs and clean them off. Reinstall the plugs, try to start the car...after several revolutions turn off the key and pull the plugs. The cylinder(s) with the wet plug(s) are the one(s) that have a injector leaking through. Once found either pull / repair it, or if not your thing...buy and install an new / rebuilt one.

What is the reason for not having hot air yet temp gauge stays cool Water pump timing belt and thermostat have already been replaced?

It sure sounds like thermostat to me. Did something get caught in the thermostat when you were installing it so that it won't close? That's a puzzle for me if the engine won't really get warm. Make sure your mechanical linkage between the dash "hot/cold" slide lever and heater valve is working properly. Also, you might have a clog in your heater core loop.
