3 major religons, Islam, Christianity and Judaism all preached the same concept of One god. However they later got distorted by the rulers and corrupt priests. However Islam is different as its Gods miracle to keep the Noble Koran/Quran unchanged to this day. Even if all the copies of Quran were drowned in a sea, it can be re written from scratch in the clone copy of when it was revealed - as another miracle is that God keeps in memorised in millions of peoples minds.

Jesus never told his followers that they were Christians, only decades later they were given this name! Moses didn't tell his followers that they were Jews, its only a hundred years later they were called this! They all practised Islam - and submitted to the One true God. Hence even Abraham was a muslim and Noah and all other prophets.

Its best for you to study all 3 religons and hopefully with logic you will understand the one that has NO contradiction, the Quran is a book of signs and is definately worth a read.

Whilst there is a difference of opinion on the matter of photography, the dominant opinion of the modern Scholars of High Knowledge is that photography is permissible as long as they are of benefit and not for any harmful or prohibited purposes, and that photographs of humans and animals not be displayed. As such, photographs kept in an album, drawer, computer or disk would be considered acceptable. However, photographs of humans and animals should not be displayed on walls and the like. In other words, simply stated, they are not to be left open for display. It can be viewed but not left for display on frames on desks and walls, for example.

The Scholars have also mentioned caution on the matter that photography should never be frivolous and indulgent, but for genuinely good reasons. Celebration of a wedding is well known as an Islamic Tradition, and so taking videos and photography would be permissible. Indulgence and frivolous photography/videoing includes the modern trends of the youth to take photos of each other in poses, etc, where there is no real essence other than social posing, and the like.

The additional issue arising is that of indulgence in costs for photography in weddings. That being a separate issues, and problem, does lead to many Scholars frowning upon the indulgence in photography where costs are exuberant. Exuberance is usually defined as what exceeds the norms of a society under normal circumstances.

Finally, the matter is a simple one with complicated issues attached to it. As practical advice, avoid photography and videoing unless there are good reasons for it in terms of promoting good, Islamic events, awareness and the like and either minimise or eliminate it for portraiture and posing.

As is the clear principle in Islamic Juridical Science, all valid differences of opinion on a matter amongst qualified body of Scholars should be respected and what one person therefore follows should do so with his or her own conscience, but never criticising others if they take a different valid opinion.

The question is not clear. Of course, people may go out with other people. There is nothing to be asked.

If the question is using "go out with" as a euphemism for dating, as opposed to merely meeting people outside of the home, then there is some discussion to be had. More stringent Muslims believe that dating is not an acceptable practice. Center-line Muslims may date, but will only do so for the purpose of marriage (as opposed to general enjoyment), more lax Muslims date just like anyone else. So, it depends more on the person.

You will indeed see much calligraphic art, often verses from the Qu'ran, because learning the words of this book is important in Islamic culture and religion. This is similar to some Hebrew calligraphic art and is not unlike the Christian custom of putting Bible verses with inspiring images.

You will also see repeating geometric, vegetal or floral elements in much Islamic art, called an arabesque. The arabesque often used to symbolize the transcendent and infinite nature of God. What you will rarely see is a representation of the human form, which many Muslims consider to be idolatry.

Playing and/or listening to music is not haram (is not forbidden) so far it doesn't distract you from ritual worships and/or doing good deeds and/or helping needy people an so far the music does not lead to or create forbidden sexual excitements.

No of course not! There isn't actually a law against wearing hijab in France. However there is a law that bans all religious symbols from schools. This includes Jewish Kippahs, Sikh turbans large Christian crosses..and Muslim hijab. If a girl wears hijab in school she won't be arrested. She will just not be able to attend. She is then excluded from school after a process of 'mediation'. Muslim girls can attend private schools.

Amelle Berrabah was born into a morrocan Muslim family but her actions and her music are against Islam's teachings, therefore she doesn't act like a Muslim and she isn't very religious.

My textbook is in front of me, and one of the Fiver Pillars of Muslim is Prayer. In the pillar of Prayer it says "five times a day, Muslims face toward Mecca to pray."

Sunita Williams (born September 19, 1965 in Euclid, Ohio) is a United States Naval officer and a NASA astronaut. She was assigned to the International Space Station as a member of Expedition 14 and then joined Expedition 15. Her parents are Deepak Pandya and Bonnie Pandya, who reside in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Dr. Deepak Pandya is a famous neuroanatomist. Williams' roots on her father's side go back to Gujarat in India and she has been to India to visit her father's family. She is of Slovenian descent from her mother's side.

After launching aboard Discovery, Williams arranged to donate her pony tail to Locks of Love. The haircut by fellow astronaut Joan Higginbotham occurred aboard the International Space Station and the ponytail was brought back to earth with the STS-116 crew.

In early March 2007 she received a tube of wasabi in a Progress spacecraft resupply mission in response to her request for more spicy food. Opening the tube, which was packaged at one atmospheric pressure, the gel-like paste was forced out in the lower-pressure of the ISS. In the free-fall environment, the spicy geyser was difficult to contain.

On April 16, 2007, she ran the first marathon by an astronaut in orbit. Williams finished the Boston Marathon in four hours and 24 minutes . Like Christianity, Islam permits fighting in self-defense, in defense of religion, or on the part of those who have been expelled forcibly from their homes. It lays down strict rules of combat that include prohibitions against harming civilians and against destroying crops, trees and livestock. As Muslims see it, injustice would be triumphant in the world if good people were not prepared to risk their lives in a righteous cause. Islam is a religion not a language. Muslims; who are the followers of Islam religion; are spread all over the world and speak their home country languages. The language of Quran revelation by Allah (God in English and same God in Judaism and Christianity) to prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel (or Jibril) was in Arabic language (not in English).

More importantly, perhaps, no language (other than English) uses the "x" as a "ks" sound if it is used at all. Therefore, "Islamic Words" which would primarily come from Arabic would not have "x"s in them.

Music in Islam is forbidden, and there are many quranic ayahs to show that Allah highly dislikes music. The one who listened to music in this world shall have hot metal poured into his/her ears. We should refrain from listening to music as it diverts us away from the rememberance of Allah. May Allah guide us and protect us from such fitna, Ameeb. :)

Islam is not restricted to any particular area. It is a universal Religion spread over the whole world. But Asia and Africa have more number of Muslims than other parts of the world.
