They should not have to pay the cost twice for the rest of their life. They need jobs too, then society wanders why they turn back to a life of crime. They need to work, not everyone is bad.

I am an Avon Representative, and I love it! I am my own boss, and I have been able to take control of my finances with Avon. I now make a six figure income. You must be 18 or older to become an Avon representative. You do have the option to become a Mark representative at 17, but truthfully, the product line is so limited, it just is not worth it. What I do with my personal recruits that are under 18, is I have them sign up under their parent's name. The parent is the one on the account, however the teen does all of the selling. i am an ex con who has tried in several places to obtain employment and every attempt is futile, we paid our debts to society yet we are cast away like we are some kind of disease. the only option that we are really given is to continue to be criminals and i assure you many of us no longer want that lifestyle, we can sell drugs and live comfortably, we resort to what we know and that is how to hustle, most of us pulled several years, i served 8 i grew up in there, what else is there for me? i have several license and i have an associates degree yet that is no good because i was young and made poor choices, convicts are always going to be held down in some form, we are job security for the cops and politicians with out us the society will fail, that is why we cannot get jobs, the system wants us to resort to our old way of life, basically they created us so they can stay employed, for whomever reads this that has not made stupid mistakes, the next time something happens in your area remember you chose not to help that person by giving him/her a chance you cast them out, people have to survive, think about it logically, anyone disagree?

Employment in State and local government agencies may grow somewhat in response to growing needs for public welfare, family services, and child protective services, but many of these services will be contracted out to private agencies. Opportunities for social workers in private practice will expand, but growth may be somewhat hindered by restrictions that managed care organizations put on mental health services. Growth of medical and public health social workers is expected to be 24 percent, which is much faster than the average for all occupations. Im going to correct the previous persons answer. As a corrections officer myself and a prior police officer I know that you cant get a job as a corrections officer or any other criminal ustice sworn job. even if you attempt to get your records Expunged it will never be hidden from a criminal justice agency.it willonly be hidden to private sector employers. and felons arnt allowed to carry firearms and that's a requirement as a corrections officer. but even if felons were allowed to carry firearms they still can get the job due to numerous other state laws that bar it and no agency will ever hire them. all criminal justice agencies will treat a expunged felony just as if its a none expunged and its never gonna be hidden from them.

ACTUALLY in the state of Vermont you can work at the DOC with a felony Only with a felony waiver from the commish of corrections can grant. i know a few c/o's who work there now but cant advance too high due to some of the jobs that require to carry a weapon. in vt there arent any gunlaws you only have to be elegible by federal gun law meaning now felonies or a few other underlining offenses. i hope this answer helps so whoever said YOU CANT BE A CORRECTIONAL officer with a felony is WRONG WRONG WRONG

Well I can tell you as a Corrections Officer you can get a job as an ex offender. I ddid 5 years for armed robbery with a mask and today I am superintendent of an institution. Get a Queens Pardon and go from there.

The future for police officer is that all states will still need police officers in the future because crime never stops.
The job market can fluctuate but, usually, yes there is a steady demand.

You can not be discriminated against because of a conviction record. Not all employers are required to hire you though with a felony conviction. Some do complete backrounds checks because of high security reasons you can not be hired but you also know this when applying for certain jobs. This are usually high teck and government jobs. Common labor , factory, welders, ect... can not discriminate.

Cheaper labor. They pay children less. in many situations they don't pay them at all. for example the way that the price of your chocolate is kept down is through child slavery, the same applies to many other businesses.

First, exhale... Passing the Bar exam usually means you can be licensed to practice law in that state. The next step is to get someone to pay you for doing it. If you're really lucky, really connected, or your dad has enough political pull, you'll join a big law firm, get paid a ridiculous salary for a punk kid just out of law school, handle all the crap cases until the older lawyers drop dead at 45, and then you'll gradually move up the ladder. You'll be supporting two ex wives and a couple of girlfriends, popping pills and drinking yourself silly every night. OR, you could set up shop by yourself, defend people who don't have the money to pay a $400 dollar an hour lawyer, do the best you can, and be a meaningful member of society. It's up to you.
