How do you find the Turn signal flasher on a 1990 Plymouth acclaim?
There are two flasher relays under the dash in the car. One for the hazards and one for the turn signals. They are next to the fuses under the steering wheel right by the hood release On My 90 Acclaim the hazzard flasher is on the fuse block, the turn signal flasher is mounted on the air conditioning duct farther up under the dash. I found it by turning the signal on listening for the click and sticking my arm up to the elbow into the dash. It is fastened by a plastic clip onto the duct.

On a 2003 Lincoln Continental is there just one fuse box located under the hood?
Ok, first of all Lincoln didn't make a 2003 Continental, there last year model was 2002, so I'm gonna guess you made a mistake on that. Second for your question yes, there is just one fuse box under the hood, its located on the drivers side to the right of the battery and brake reservoir and booster, its a black box that's about 2"x6", open that up and that's where you'll find mini fuses, maxi fuses and relays, if you want to know what each fuse is used for consult your owners manual.
DCl stands for data communication line.it tells you that there is no communication to the instrument cluster from the computer. The main problem is that there is a fault in the instrument cluster causing the DCL light to stay on and sometimes the oil pressure gauge could go bad also.you can have it repaired at a few speedometer shops just look them up online.

This is a great answer but I would like to add to it. the part that goes bad on several Lincoln conti's that cause this problem is called a "blend door actuator" I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly but the purpose of this unit is to control switching from defrost to vent and so on. the part is about 25-35 at every junk yard and a bad idea to buy without some sort of warranty, they almost all go bad eventually. A new one from the Lincoln dealership is 89.75 from all three of the Lincoln parts places in my area. My guess would be its the same price nation wide. the service book calls for 1.2 hours of labor time to replace it. a good shop could install it and only charge you about 200.00 after tax. I .
Answereven though the system is electronic, the air directional controls are still vacuum operated. Defrost is the systems default position, in the event of a loss of vacuum. Most likely, there is a loss of vacuum supply to the heater control system. Also, the doors that open and close to direct the air flow are controlled by metal vacuum solenoids where the vacuum tubes plug into. Possibly, one of these soleniods has lost its vacuum seal and is not functioning. To visualize them, you open the glove box door and drop the g-box door all the way down by pushing in on the stop-tabs on either side of the glove box itself. then you can see the air flow phlenum (box) and the three solenoids. Also, check to see if one of the vacuum hoses has just come loose.

I own the all data program for this vehicle, because I also own this vehicle. This job is a pain in the a$$. Trust me. I took one look at the diagram and knew i was in for nothing but a headache. The whole dash has to come out, every screw and clamp. its not fun. its about 7hours of labor. so i wised up and took it to "speedy". the drain in my wallet? about $632.00 in labor. i bought the heater core at auto zone for 76.00. good luck and have fun if you decide to do this yourself.

Are 2001 Lincoln Continentals a good car?
They are extremely reliable cars, that's what i have, its silver in color with 5% tint a 12" sub, all my interior lights are blue, has a 3x5" touch screen DVD/CD player with USB connection, i can watch tv, sirrius sat. XM radio rearview camera, my daughters can watch a movie while were driving, its has almost 180,000 miles on it and she runs like a dream, it has a $220 yellow top battery HID headlights, license plate light is blue, reverse lights are blue you know the corning light that comes on when you turn signal is on, those are blue when they come on, i had and still have to fix some things on it but its getting some miles on her so some things are bound to break, i just had to get the ignition chamber fixed it seized up on me while i was at the store, i need new brakes and rotors but that's because they where only replaced once, only had to do it once at 100,000 miles, and the starter is starting to slip once and awhile. Otherwise she looks brand new, no rust at all, i would recommend everyone to get a Lincoln Continental, from 95 to 2002. Ive had two so far, first was a 97 and currently have a 2001, im just upset because they stopped making them in 2002 that sucks, but yea, id say out of 10 stars id give it a 10.
