How do you change a LCM on a 1998 Lincoln Continental?
how do you change the LCM on a 2000 Lincoln continential and where is it located
In my 1998 the lighting control module is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. It is a black plastic box about 3" by 5" by 2" and clicking sounds can be heard from it when your blinkers are on. Remove the panel covering the area (2 plastic tabs), then the two 7mm screws fastening the LCM. Pull it out unplugging the wires clipped into it. According to Lincoln a replacement part is $700! I am not ready to make this purchase and hope my brake lights are not working due to another reason -- Are there any suggestions?

How do you locate the moon roof motor on a 1994 Lincoln?
Well, just like on any car, you get the manual for the car. If you get a good manual, i recommend" CHILTONS "brand, then it will tell you how to take out the motor and replace it.
you can also look at the roof of the car from inside and if you see a bulge then there it is...
also you take the car in to the manufacturer this is your local LIncoln dealer, and they will show you...
Personally, I would reccommend staying away from the Haynes/Chiltons manuals for anything more than oil changes and such as that as they cover too many models and years to really get specific about your year. I would suggest getting a manual from www.helminc.com or going on eBay and searching for used paper ones or getting a manual on CD for your year and model of car. It gets down to every last nut and bolt along with part #'s for replacements. As to how to get to the motor, it should be inside a hump in the ceiling right above the middle seating position in the rear seat.
What would cause a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire to almost die when at a stop light or when idling?
I would suspect a weak EGR valve. It should be toward the rear of the motor. Take a non or low flammable spray (WD40) and spray on or around the valve and on and around the seals and if the engine smoothes out that is where the problem is. A severe vaccum leak causes a lean condition which in turn causes the problem you have. Also spray around the hoses, gaskets, etc.
How do you program a integrated garage door opener in a 79 Lincoln Continental?
I'm assuming that your Continental is similar to my Mark V. That option came with a receiver that would be mounted in the garage and wired to the door opener. Push the button in the visor, sends a signal to the receiver in the garage, door opens. I've never seen both halves of the thing, but given the 1970's technology, I doubt there were any "rolling codes" or anything else digital going on. It was probably a simple RF signal on a pre-set frequency that triggered the receiver, and maybe your neighbor's door too, if he had a Lincoln as well!
