What would make ignition coil number 5 not fire on Lincoln Mark VIII when spark plugs and ignition coil have already been changed?

The PCM in your car provides the ground for the individual cylinders to fire, so if you have new wires, coils and plugs then I would say you have a bad internal ground inside of your PCM not allowing #5 to fire. It works the same way for your fuel injectors, the PCM provides the ground for each individual fuel injector to fire.

Why would the compressor for the air suspension not be turning on if the car is running?

Number one: The air bladders may not need air. Number two: The fuse is blown. Number three: The compressor is 'burnt' out. Number four: Loose wire. Number five: As stated previously, if the car has been 'lifted', you may be able to fix the problem by turning off the key, opening the truck, placing the air suspension switch in the 'off' position and then after starting the car turn the switch to the 'on' position. Could be simple. If car was recently towed, jacked up or put up on a lift the switch inside the panel on left side of trunk should have been turned to "off". Hope that's it.

Why does your 1995 Lincoln mark VIII have no spark?

9 times of out 10 a no spark is due to a failed or malfunctioning Crank Position Sensor locacted by the crank pully, near the AC compressor.

Sometimes you can upplug the sensor and when you plug it back in the car will have spark again. Replacing the sensor does require removal of the AC compressor (due to space limitations) BUT you do not have to disconnect the AC lines.

Simply unbolt the compressor and gently lay it aside, and that will give you the clearance to pull the Crank Sensor from the block. Hope this helps
