What is the longitude of London?
Difficult to explain without pictures, but here goes.... Imagine a circle drawn around the earth, from North to South and passing through both the North and South poles. This called a meridian, or Great Circle. A series of these circles can be drawn, each one being one degree apart, around the circle of the equator, and there would then be 360 such circles. The longitude of any place on earth is measured by how many degrees around is the meridian which passes through it. The starting point for this measurement could be anywhere on earth, but because of Britain's history as a major empire and sea power the starting point is in Greenwich, London. So, the longitude of Greenwich, London is 0 degrees.

Why asar prayer time different for shafi and hanafi Muslim?
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
Answer
The differences between Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) & Imam Shafee (RA) in regards to the beginning of Asr Salah is based on their respective interpretations of the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam.
There were differences also between the companions of the Prophet on the beginning of Asr Salah thus, one should not assume the differences also between the great Imams as something wrong or deviated.
There are many hadiths which prove both Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) & Imam Shafee (RA) judgment on this issue:
1. Abdullah Bin Rafii Radiallahu Anhu asked Saaiduna Abu Hurayrah Radiallahu Anhu regarding the times of prayers. Saaiduna Abu Hurairah Radiallahu Anhu replied, "I will tell you: When the length of your shadow (from the sun) is equal to your height then perform the Zuhr salah. When the length of your shadow becomes twice your height, perform the Asr salah...' (Malik Muwatta - Book 1, Number 1.1.9 )
2. Saaiduna Abdullah Ibn Abbas Radiallahu anhu narrates that The Prophet of Allah Salallahu Alahi Wasalam said: Jibraael Alayhi Wasalam led me in prayer at the House (i.e. the Ka'bah). He prayed the noon prayer (Zuhr) with me when the sun had passed the meridian to the extent of the thong of a sandal; he prayed the afternoon prayer (Asr) with me when the shadow of everything was as long as itself; he prayed the sunset prayer (Maghrib) with me when one who is fasting breaks the fast; he prayed the night prayer (Ishaa) with me when the twilight had ended; and he prayed the dawn prayer (Fajr) with me when food and drink become forbidden to one who is keeping the fast. On the following day he prayed the noon prayer with me when his shadow was as long as himself; he prayed the afternoon prayer with me when his shadow was twice as long as himself; he prayed the sunset prayer at the time when one who is fasting breaks the fast; he prayed the night prayer with me when about the third of the night had passed; and he prayed the dawn prayer with me when there was a fair amount of light. Then turning to me he said: Muhammad, this is the time observed by the Prophets before you, and the time is anywhere between two times.' (Sunan Tirmizi p.38 v.1)
3. Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from the mawla of Abdullah ibn Umar that Umar ibn al-Khattab wrote to his governors, saying, "The most important of your affairs in my view is the prayer. Whoever protects it and observes it carefully is protecting his deen, while whoever is negligent about it will be even more negligent about other things." Then he added, "Pray dhuhr any time from when the afternoon shade is the length of your forearm until the length of your shadow matches your height. Pray asr when the sun is still pure white, so that a rider can travel two or three farsakhs before the sun sets. Pray maghrib when the sun has set. Pray isha any time from when the redness in the western sky has disappeared until a third of the night has passed - and a person who sleeps, may he have no rest, a person who sleeps, may he have no rest. And pray subh when all the stars are visible and like a haze in the sky." (Malik Muwatta - Book 1, Number 1.1.6 )

When does it get cold in London England?
It gets cold in England from about October to February. The coldest month is usually January.
England has a climate that is regulated by the North Atlantic currents, both to its advantage and to its disadvantage.
During the summer, Britain could quite easily benefit from temperatures of 25-30C in June, July and August but, because, at this time of year, the area receives a lot of ex-tropical storms from the mid-Altantic, and sometimes the remnants of hurricanes from the Carribean and United States, the warm atmospheric conditions of the Altantic drift those weather systems over to North West Europe, and thus the cloud cover keeps the temperatures lower. Move West into mainland Europe, and these conditions are lowered. However, there are often 2 weeks in July, and again in September, when there is little or no cloud cover and temperatures soar (particularly in July).
England has a relatively warm Autumn, as the Atlantic tropical air is still active.
November is usually the month when the first frosts occur, unless the wind direction has changed, and has come from Europe in the October.
Still, more than 10 frosts before Christmas is unusual and, oddly enough, the South is more susceptible to frost in Autumn than the North.
The winter is cold and damp. From Christmas to March, the Atlantic has cooled and has become inactive with any major weather systems. Occasionally, though, the Atlantic has kicked up storms that, again, originate from the tropics, and 18C (65F) is reached, in January, every 5th or so year. February is a dry month, in comparison, and is generally when the minimum temperatures are produced. Every second February, at least 2 days will have a maximum below zero C (32F).
Spring takes a long time to warm. Low Atlantic sea temperatures keep the air temperature pegged at around 7C (40F) from March to May.
Spring is sunniest in the North and West (because the Atlantic conditions are calm) and in May it is often above 20C in Manchester, but London struggles with 15C due to misty foggy conditions brought in from the North Sea and Europe.
Then, once the Atlantic warms in June, the Atlantic fronts hit the North and West, and London remains often sheltered and several degrees warmer due to sunnier skies.
