How do you remove the headlight assembly on a 1992 Mazda mx3?

There is a bolt behind the bumper (next to the horn) which has to be removed. You need to partially remove the bumper on the side you're working on to get to it. I found that with a rachet spanner, it was possible to bend the bumper back a bit to get to it. I didn't replace the bolt when I fitted the new headlamp!! Other than that, remove the obvious bolts that you can see when the bonnet's open and the lamp connections...

How do you bleed air from the cooling system of a Mazda MX3?

Warm up your car to working temperature. Open coolant cap near the inside head(if you have v6 engine, or radiator cap if you have inline 4 cyl engine). While engine works, you will see air bubbles come out and the coolant level drop. Continue adding coolant until you see no air bubbles coming out.

Important note: Turn your heater to the max. When engine reaches it working temperature, it will force the thermostat to open and thermostat will open, thus allowing coolant to flow into ''big'' circle(to your heater). As the thermostat opens, you will notice a huge drop it coolant level(also, the radiator fan may kick in)- keep adding, until it's full. Wait for ~2 minutes, to check if any air bubbles come out and then you can put the radiator/engine coolant cap back on.

to speed up the process, you can rev your engine to ~2k rpm(with your hand by throttle body), it will make water pump to work harder and force any air out of the cooling system).

What is the most common Mx-3 idle problems?

My MX3 1993 idle dropped to almost stalling point when I stepped on the brake. After replacing the batter this problem disappearred and has so for 2 months now. There was no indication i needed a battery when i was driving it daily, however after leaving it sit for 5 days when I went to start it there was little juice to fire it up. By replacing/disconnecting the battery it reset the computer and I have not had an issue since...worth a try. Chuck

What is Variable Inertia Charging System on a Mazda motor?

The Variable Inertia Charging System(VICS) system on any motor, not just Mazda motors, is essentially a separate series of butterfly valves and runners to adjust the length of the manifold to shorten it for low end torque and to lengthen it for high end torque in an attempt to get "The best of both worlds". On the mx-3 in perticular the vics system is simply an open space on the intake manifold that is used to moddify the vaccume of the manifold to increase or decrease preasure.

Where is the coolant gauge sensor located on a 1987 Mazda B2600?

under the emissions temperature sensor on the right side under the radiator hose connection to the block if you are standing in front of truck looking at motor, the coolant is the lower one of the two and has a single plug on it not a double. This is very confusing because if you search the web for this you will get a million 2 pronged sensors that swear they are for this truck but are not, I had the same issue with the one above it as well. My truck emissions temp sensors plug barbs are in a T shape opposing each other not the parallel plugs the interwebs and most all parts stores SAY it is. Good luck
