What could cause a rebuilt engine to still burn oil?
When you put the piston rings in several are oil blockers - these make sure the oil doesn't pass them into the combustion chambers - there are gaps on each ring. - you must be 100% sure these gaps [ every other one ] are 180 degrees opposite each other. If not - this allows oil to bypass these small gaps and into the combustion chambers. The only real fix for this is to remove and replace the rings. Also if you didn't replace the valve guides - there are usually rubber caps that can dry out and shrink if off the car out of oil for even a little while. Last but not least check your oil pressure and make sure it is proper poundage - an over pumped system can allow this. Now for the real deal and final part of my answer - the cylinder walls can be warped from over heating or even just age. Well hope this helps. Riceski
it is normal for the vehicles temp to rise a little bit however if the temp goes more than 3/4 of the way you need to check the radiator cooling fan operation
How to change a headlight on a 2003 Mazda?
The bulb is located under the hood jump behind your lamp. All you have to do is twist the plastic right to the left and uncrew it. The electric should just have a clip on it you can pop off directly on the rear of the exsisting bulb. Unplug, and it pull out of the headlamp. place the new one in the plug, and you're set to just place it backin screwing the plastic "o" cap over to secure it in place.

Where is the drain-cock located on a 1999 Olds Intrigue radiator?
On my 98 Intrigue it's on the bottom left side of the radiator. Push in and turn it about a half turn. It's not threaded but has a catch pin. Be careful not to break it. Learned the hard way but most parts stores have a replacement. Tip: grease the o-ring on the petcock when replacing it or installing a new one. It will be easier to turn the next time.
Where is the crank shaft sensor on a 92 Mazda mx-3?
To the right of the crank shaft pulley. You should see a single black wire going up from the pulley. All you need is a 10MM socket to remove it.
How do you repair the valve seals in a 1994 Mazda MX3?
The (less than helpful) answer that I've seen for this one is once the hydraulic lifts go on the valves, it's cheaper to buy a rebuilt upgrade-spec (KL-DE or KL-ZE) engine than it is to service just the valves alone. Having the valve cover gaskets replaced (due to oil leakage, which of course happened again after not too long) was over $800, so that gives you some idea of what doing that, PLUS replacing all the hydraulic lash adjusters, hydraulic lifters, etc is going to cost... an imported KL-ZE engine that I saw on eBay from a reputable import engine dealer, ran $1000 a couple of years ago (don't know if you can still get one), and gets you the same or better mileage, and nearly 200hp (instead of the 135hp the stock engine gets), and the only challenge is the replacement (a few quirks, like 5 relatively minor modifications from putting a stock engine in and out) and making sure you get one with the curved neck (Millenia) intake.
Not helpful, but honest, if you want the details to overhaul the valves though, check the "Online Shop Manual" under the "Technical" section at www.mx-3.com
Where is the water pump in a 1992 Mazda mx3?
Check the "Online Shop Manual" under the "Technical" section at www.mx-3.com. If it's the V-6, I can answer though, "Under a lot of stuff that you probably won't want to mess with"... you have to take off a valve cover, the accessory belt cover, the drive belt cover, at least one or more pulleys, it's not an easy job, a VERY poor design choice by Mazda (not that they are the only ones guilty of this)... you can get to nearly all the bolts from under the vehicle (it's at the bottom of the block) except for one or two which are behind all the aforementioned parts.
Why would reverse not work and neutral goes forward 93 Mazda mx3?
You need to either adjust or replace your shifter linkage I wouldn't suggest attempting this yourself as you have to rip the whole dash and steering wheel apart. Take it to a mechanic

socket on 3/8 ratchet, and a 5/16 or metric equiv in order to simply expose the
back 3. You're front three are easy as pie-simply unbolt the spark plug
(electrical device)and gently pull exposing plug. The back 3 are underneath the
intake manifold. First carefully undo the 3 bolts to remove dust cover(do not be
rough as they are costly)and then proceed to unbolt intake manifold. undo
adjoining vacuum lines. *[Note although the bolts will not come out all the way
just loosen them all the way ;they will stay in the manifold but it will come
out with them in it.]* Be extremely careful when removing manifold as it has
gaskets
that can tear. Most local parts stores don't have them -you gotta buy them at
the dealership. now replace plugs. and reverse the order to reassemble. Now
thank God that it'll be a while before you do it again!{I personally recommend
using N.G.K "iridium" spark plugs} they really make a phenomenal difference!
