How do you set the clock on a 2000 Mazda protege with no owners manual?
I found this out through trial and error.
Hold the "clock" button down until it starts blinking.
Use the "Tune Seek Track" button up for hours, down for minutes to set the clock.
Hit the "clock" button again to save the setting.
How do you remove to radio to an 03 Mazda Protege?
Get the 'U' shaped radio removal tools (Wal-Mart or auto parts store just a few dollars). Follow the directions or: Squeeze the tool enough to insert the two ends (at the same time) into the two holes on the far left (right) of the radio face plate until they lock in (about 1-1.5 inches). Then do the same thing on the other side. Grasping both tools at the same time push in to the center and pull out. Then unplug the antennae and other connections and you are done.
Where is the slave cylinder on a 1997 Mazda Protege?
The clutch slave cylinder should be mounted basically where the clutch is on the drivers side under the car. When you order the new part you'll know what it looks like. it's kind of tough to get to, at least in my experience with an 83' BMW 320i

Any invasive medical procedure needs informed consent from the patient, which means he or she is fully aware of the reasons for doing it, what the expected results are, and any complications that may occur. The facility you work at may have their own procedures for documenting consent, and you should follow those. Patients that are unconscious or unable to understand or speak for themselves, and in absence of advance orders to the contrary, may be treated under the doctrine that a reasonable person would give their consent if able.

How do you remove a stock radio from a 95 Mazda protege?
on each side of the radion there is a cover you need to remove those and insert a FIRM wire through the holes that you see on each side. insert the wire that is u shaped through top and bottom, there are clips on the side of the radio that eed t be pressed inward so you add pressure to the wire outward and pull as you are pressing, this should release the clips. if you don't care for the radio, you can force pry it out cause those lips can be a pain in the butt.
New Method! If you take four 1 1/4" drywall screws and screw them halfway in to the four little holes, pull to the sides and slide out your radio! they are easily sturdy enough to push in the clips and make a great handle to pull the radio out with!

Where is the heater core located in a 1994 Mazda Protege?
The core is behind the radio and it is tough to remove. You will need to take off the dash, instrument panel and glove box. The steering wheel needs to drop, and the heater controls need to come off (they are unbelievably hard to get back on.)
Unless you have all the tools, a manual, and a circuit diagram, and record every bolt, screw and plug meticulously, don't do it yourself. Take it to the guys who do it for a living and can do it safely, properly and quickly. If you do it yourself and miss even one plug, you'll need to take the dash apart again. It took me 1.5 hours to get the dash off and six hours to replace the core and reassemble. This was the first time I had done a core replacement and I don't recommend doing it yourself unless you know what you are doing.
it could have a bad speed sensor
The hold light can be used to keep the car in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear. Not really needed, just drive in sport mode DS/D3 to hold the gears longer. overdrive off/on

Why do people like the blow off valve noise?
It makes it obvious to others (who know cars) that the car is turbocharged. It's another "machine noise." It's like another type of "vroom vroom!" to get excited about while driving.
How can you fix and or replace a exhaust manifold?
You can try a temporary fix by applying an epoxy to cover the crack. (I assume that is problem - it is cracked. Common problem for the Protege) However, that is not a good fix, as far as I know. It might be an improvment for awhile, but that's all. Ask a good auto parts store for high temp epoxy. Another method is to braise with silver or some other type rod. You can look up "how to braise cast iron" on Harris website or something. There are charts saying the type rod to use. To weld it this way takes skill and tools and REMOVING THE OFFENDING PART. Once you have the manifold off the car, you light as well replace it with a new one. Repacement is probably cheaper than the cost of theBTU's required to braise it properly.
Does a 97 Mazda protege have an non interference belt?
It would help to know the engine that is in this particular car. If nothing else, the trim level might help. There is not enough information with this question for it to be answered correctly. Also, the timing belt has nothing to do with interference, the clearance between a fully open valve and a fully compressed piston determine interference. The belt only turns the camshafts.
Checking the Gates Timing belt guidelines - this car does not have an interference engine no matter what engine size it is whether it's the 1.5, 1.6, or the 1.8L. The 01-03 2.0l do have an interference engine- Dale in Southern Idaho - mobile mechanic.
Where is the horn on a 1990 Protege?
The horn for the 1990 Mazda Protege is located near the right turn signal at the front of the car. To the left of the radiator when your looking at the engine with the hood up.
find the fan belt, make sure the car is OFF, then take a regular bar of soap and rub it on the underside of fan belt. That will stop it from squealing. Worked for me!
look if is a car or sedan have to be a transversal engine and dont have fan belt if has only one belt they call it serpentine belt and is too old got to go replace it if it has two belts one for alternator and ac compressor and one for power steering that means the one for the alternator is loose and can be tight the noise is too loud with the heater on because the alternator is working extra and the belt is slipping
