very hard to change, follow the top raditor hose to intake, there is a bypass hose that loops from this hose. at the end of the bypass hose is the thermostat housing. four bolts in it. after you remove the four bolts, don't expect the housing to just come right off. if is glue on and difficult to remove and replace without it leaking.

You need to drain and remove the fuel tank to access the fuel pump on this vehicle.

take the gas tank out, it's inside. piece of cake.

If it is a 3.0 then the answer is yes. Change it at 105,000 miles.

Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1993 Mercury Villager windshield washer motor pump. Remove the windshield washer pump hoses. Remove the windshield washer pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new windshield washer motor pump.

The 2001 Villager washer fluid level sensor is inside of the washer fluid reservoir. The sensor can be access through the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir.

The knock sensor is in the engine V under the intake manifolds and coolant crossover pipe. As it requires considerable disassembly and an expensive new gasket set to reach it, I suggest you make very sure there is something wrong with it first. You will have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds and coolant crossover pipe assembly to reach it. Just because you are receiving a trouble code for it does not mean there is anything wrong with it. This sensor shares a circuit with other components that often will set a "ghost" trouble code.

You need to loosen the belts by backing off the tensioners. Since this is difficult to describe I would suggest investing in a manual that has illustrations showing how it's done.

The knock sensor is located on top of the engine block underneath the intake.

there are 2 bolts located near carpet on the front of the lower rear seat.remove them... then, seat should lift out.. !!!!!

My mechanic says the problem might be inside the steering column, some plastic parts and gears or whatever.

I thought it might be a cable or the tranny. He says no, its where the shift lever contacts the actuators in the steering column. Bottom line, either get the innards for the steering column and pay to have them changed, or change the whole steering column.

The problem has plagued mercury's for ever. Marquis were "shifting from park into reverse all by themselves, and rolling over children in the driveway".

I stopped at a sausage cart the other day, and was standing there waiting for my food, and the lady said, "Your van is rolling away." I had to catch it, and then stop it, then get into it and try to shift it into park.

The fix, is new parts inside the column, or a new column. Why? Because, sometimes the shifter sticks in park, and people reef on it to get it into gear, and the plastic parts inside the steering column break.

Sometimes it is hard to find DRIVE. I think I'm in drive but really I'm in 2nd.

So I keep looking for a new steering column, so I can get the parts, or replace the whole column.

It's really a time bomb.

by ear huh? well here is what u do take the bottom of the motor 360 on the bottom end "the crank pulley" put something soft in spark plug hole #1 and when you "feel" the piston at Top Dead Center or TDC that's your mark careful now have fun

There is no fuse dedicated to the knock sensor as there is normally no power flowing through it.

Passenger side (front of the motor) in the middle. Just above the water pump. Must remove cover and harmonic balancer to install. Very difficult.

The front of the seat section lifts up. It's generally in quite tight so it will take a little effort. Once the front of the seat section lifts you can pull the seat forward then move it out one of the doors. At that point you will see two bolts that go through the "eyes" of a couple metal rods. Pull the bolts, lift UP on the seat back and it will come out.

If your talking about the thermostat in the engine that allows Waterflow from the radiator when hot and and blocks when cold it is where the water hose connects the the engine it self loosen bolds and clamp remove the hose becarfule make sure it is cold and you have a bucket underit to collect the coolent when you remove the 3 or 4 bolts from the peice the hose connects to you should see a grey disk with a spring in it that's ur thermosta

Is very complicated. I´m trying to replace the timing belt of mine, and is very difficult. will need take off all belts, the hose water, and to put it down a little thr motor-trans, unmountine the two bolts of the "bridge" that supports the motos-trans. You will need too unmount thr front rigth tire, for spacios. Ité necesary unmount the damper, and a cover that protects the timing belt, it have a lot of little bolts of 10 mm. Escuse me for my bad english, but my fist lenguaje is spanish.

Follow the fuel rail (by the base of the fuel injectors) and follow it towards the drivers side of the vehicle it will end at a vacuum diaphragm, about a quarter in diameter and 3/4 inch deep. This is the fuel pressure regulator. Now if I can just figure out how to undo that back screw! Hoping that metal cooland pipe doesn't have to come off.
