How do you repair or replace the spark plugs in a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant V4?
Spark plugs are rarely repaired on a car. It is easier to replace them and have the confidence of having dependable transportaion. If you look at the top of your valve cover(place wheve you put oil) towards the rear, you'll see a series of cords to 2 circular and 2 square black connectors. The circular connections are directly to your plugs and the square connectors are to your coil packs. Be sure to note which coil pack controls which plug. The easiest way is to replace is to first remove the coil pack(held on by 2 bolts 10mm in size, I think), replace the plug and then replace the associated plug. CAUTION!!! If you are replacing the plugs because of emissions and a check engine soon light... It very well might be a coil pack that has failed. It took me two months, an EGR, spark plug wires, 2 sets of plugs, an oxygen sensor and diagnostic testing to figure this out. One symptom is if your car loses power and stalls; especially on hills or high stress situations.
i also have a 2002 galant and it is experiancing the same problem...when you open you drivers side door there should be a small panel that you can pop off that is located on the side of your steering wheel mounting...open that and find the fuse that has a 75 on it...there should be a diagram on the plastic cover you took off...make sure that isn't loose....that is the only thing we have checked so far so make sure that isn't it.

How do you change the rear left brake light bulb on a Mitsubishi Galant 2001?
Bare with me because I am trying to remember this from memory. If you open your trunk and look on the inside next to the light being replaced, you should see three black protectors which probably appear to hold up the trunk carpeting interior. Remove these protectors and pull back the carpeting (held on by velcro attachments). You should now see three bolts with retaining nuts. Remove the nuts with a deep 10mm socket and pull the light from the body from the outside of the car. After the light is out, you will see three light sockets. The brake light should be the most inner light. Twist the socket towards the left and the light should easily come out. Remove the bulb and replace it with the exact same bulb. The bulb has two filaments, one for the park lights and the other for the brake lights. After you've replaced the bulb, installation is the reverse of removal.

Your 2003 Galant will blow air but no heat why?
I would suspect that the heater core is either clogged or the heater temperature control valve is defective. Have you ever serviced the cooling system? It is also possible that the thermostat is stuck open. I would drain and flush the cooling system. Install a new thermostat, install a fresh 50/50 mix of the correct antifreeze and distilled water. See what you have before proceeding any farther.
