What day do Mormons go to church?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly called "Mormons") attend worship services, Sunday School, and other meetings on Sunday. These services are held in local church meetinghouses, and all people are invited to attend, regardless of religious background. Often during the week additional activites, such as youth groups and congregation dinners, are held.

Adult and teen members may also choose to participate in additional worship on weekdays. These worship services are held in the Temples (different than meetinghouses), which are only open to Church members given a reccomendation from their Bishop.

**While this is true in most countries, in countries where there is another accepted day of the week to worship (such as Israel, on Saturday), Mormons worship on the traditional Sabbath day of the country where they reside.

Oh, dude, that's a random one! So, Megan Follows is not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So, like, she's got nothing to do with the Latter-day Saints church, but she's definitely got some serious acting chops!

Do members of the Mormon tabernacle choir get paid?

The Choir provides the wardrobe for Choir members, although the men provide their own white shirts. Both men and women's performance clothing stays in the dressing rooms at the Salt Lake Tabernacle when not in use. Performance clothing remains the property of the Choir, and dresses are often remade and reused by new Choir members when someone leaves or retires.

Is it ok to sleep naked of you are lds?

That's a matter of personal opinion. Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) would not sleep naked on a regular basis, due to the fact that they believe they should be dressed modestly and not leave parts of their body showing unncessarily. Also, what would you do if there was an emergency and you had to run out of your house? But there is nothing in Church doctrine that says anything specifically about sleeping naked... you can study what has been said about modesty and other related doctrines and make the decision yourself.

Why do Mormons wear head scarfs?

They don't. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) do not generally cover their heads for religious purposes. In places it is customary to wear a headscarf, such as Africa, the women might also do so, but this is a cultural custom, not about religion. Perhaps you are thinking of Muslims?

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is fluent in German and English. Are there any talks given by a LDS general authority that mentions global warming?

No. No General Authority has ever mentioned global warming in a talk.

The only Church-produced material mentioning global warming was published over 20 years ago in the July 1991 Ensign. It is in an article about caring for the earth, written by G. Michael Alder. At the time, he was the head of the Office of Technology Development for the state of Utah, and currently he is the director of Technology Transfer for BYU.

Why do Mormons get pissed off when you ask about magnets?

They don't, but we're starting to get annoyed. Why do people keep asking us Mormons about magnets? They're great, they stick to metal, they hang things on the fridge... whats the big deal? I don't know... someone started asking Mormons about magnets and we don't know why.

Is it safe to rub magnets on Mormons?

Sure. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) are human just like anyone else, and it isn't extremely harmful to rub a magnet over human skin. If you have iron rich blood or a pacemaker and are exposed to extremely strong magnets for long periods of time, it can cause problems, but just rubbing a normal refrigerator magnet on your skin wont do anything.

Do Mormons like magnets?

Uhhh... sure? There are nearly 14 million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) around the world. Most of them use magnets. Some of them probably collect magnets. The Church and it's members have no beliefs or doctrines about magnets.

What is the correlation between Mormons and Magnets?

It began from a South Park episode, and some have attributed it to an Insane Clown Posse song...but the reason is that Magnetism, along with many other scientific laws is not explained by religion. Most Mormons would reply that there is magnetism because "god" had made it so, not the scientific answer - either a moving electric field or spin of quantum particles. This latter process causes materials to become inherantly magnetic (like a bar magnet) when a large majority of particles (particularly electrons) have the same spin, which results in a north-south pole configuration.

The Mormon Trail and Oregon Trail share the Platte River in Nebraska. Both trails followed the Platte River valley for a portion of their journeys westward.

What is the Mormon geological location?

"Mormonism", or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a worldwide religion. Geology is the study of the origin, history, and composition of the earth. Neither of them have a single location.

Did you mean the Mormon geographical location? In that case, nearly everywhere. There are nearly 14 million Mormons scattered all around the world, although you probably won't find many in the Middle East, North Korea, Cuba, and mainland China. The Church has over 28,000 churches, 134 temples, 4 universities, 4,500 genealogy research centers, and operates hundreds of employment services, family counseling offices, thrift stores, humanitarian storehouses, and religious seminaries and institutes worldwide.

A great map to see where all of these are located can be found at the "Related Links" below.

Did any Mormon temples get struck by lightning?

Yes! Since many temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are located on high ground and have a giant metal statue on the top, they are quite often struck by lightning. Usually the lightning strikes do little or no damage, but occassionally damage the Angel Moroni statue on top. The church has had to replace at least 3 statues due to lightning damage.
