Quite possibly. The radial tire was invented in the 1940's and became widely used in the US during the 1970's.
Radial tires should not be confused with steel-belting which is used to strengthen the tread resistance to puncturing in both radial and the older bias-ply tires.

How do you change rear shocks on 1997 Aurora?
It is very easy. I did this about not long ago. First pull wheel off. Then remove bolts off the bottom part. Then you access the top nut through the trunk. Just pull the side cover over then remove top nut. Be careful removing the air lines keep them free of dirt. I recommend getting the shocks from O'reilys if you can, they are bolt in just like the factory originals. I first got some from auto zone and to put those on they wanted you to change all the airlines and even a spring in the compressor.

To replace the head gasket on a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass 3.4L, everything on the top of the motor needs to be removed. Most if not all 97 Cutlasses seem to have the 3100 SFI engine in them. The water pump should be located behind the water pump pulley which is a smooth (not grooved) belt pulley at the top near the front. Be sure to loosen (but not remove) the pulley bolts before you remove the belt. Also, if you're replacing the pump, bring the engine to normal operating temperature before you begin if you don't like broken bolts.

Inertia is not really a tool to be used...
Inertia is basically an object's resistance to being moved. It stems from Newton's 2nd law of motion, which states that the net force on an object is equal to it's mass multiplied by its acceleration. Fnet=ma. So, the larger the mass of the object, the more force is required to accelerate it.
To actually answer the question completely, we have to consider every situation in which an object has a net force on it, and so you really can't do that because it happens every day, every where, on virtually everything. Consequently, I'll provide a couple of examples instead...
Inertia is used for ice skating... Inertia is the reason that an ice skater can glide long distances across the ice without pushing off. This is because the friction force of the ice (which is trying to stop her) is not high enough to make her mass decelerate.
Inertia is used to annoy shoppers pushing shopping carts... When you push the shopping cart, you apply a force to it. The heavier the cart, the harder it is to get moving. Inertia describes the reason a heavier cart is harder to move.
Most high pressure lines have a red cap on them, and they are usually smaller in diameter. It runs from the condenser to the TX valve/Evaporator.

What are the throttle position sensor specs for a 1985 Oldsmobile cutlass?
You didn't mention what engine...etc. But for the most part you want .05 to 1.0 volt at idle and 4.5 to 5.0 volts at wide open throttle. It should also increase smoothly as you slowly open the throttle. If it skips and jumps around the TPS is bad.
