In Georgia can a Repossession man enter your garage to take your car?

No.

Entering a building to recover a vehicle is considered a breach of peace whether the garage the door was closed and/or locked or not.

The exception would be if the recovery agent held a replevin order.

Answernot legally, but they will try to make you believe they have the authority.

they will have legal looking papers and talk the talk.they can sound very convincing.also they will have sound like they are doing you a favour by saying,we will hold it for you till you can make up the payments.DO NOT FALL FOR ANY OF THAT.THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO ACTUALLY JUST TAKE THE VEHICLE WHEN YOUR NOT AROUND OR HAVE IT TOWED FROM YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.ONCE THEY HAVE IT YOUR ONLY HOPE IS TO PAY IT OFF.TAKE IT FROM AN OLD PRO.

How long does a creditor have to repossess your car after last payment was made.?

Depends on the language on the note you signed. Some have a grace period and some do not. Read the note you signed. My advice is to not let this happen. The creditor does not want to repossess your vehicle any more than you want it repossessed. It will cost him money to sell your car and then try to recoup the balance on the loan between what the car sells for and what you owe, which you will, in the end, pay. Go sit down with the creditor and work something out if at all possible. You know your credit will be ruined for 7 years if you do not fix this problem. I agree about dealing with the creditor; if you are just waiting for them to pick up the car, why not return it now? At least you won't be using something you do not own and/or it can be returned in decent condition. As with most things, the sooner you take care of a problem, the better off you are.

Can the police take your car plates parked in in mass my driveway?

The Plates are not 'your' plates, they belong to the STATE that you have registered your car with. If the STATE wants their plates back for any reason, they could have the POLICE get them from you by a number of ways.

So to answer your question... Yes the POLICE can take the "STATE'S" license plates from your car if they are instructed to do so by the STATE.

What are Richmond Virginia towing laws?

Here is the bottom line on towing laws in Richmond, Virginia. -- If you ask a towing company to tow your vehicle, no regulations apply. -- Property owners may get "trespassing" vehicles towed from their properties. Per City ordinance, there should be a sign telling folks that the parking area is for customers/residents only, and giving a contact phone number to get the car back. If the sign is not there, the parking lot owner can still get trespassing vehicles towed, but there is no fee to the car owner. -- If you park your car using on-street parking, make sure you look signs limiting how long your car can stay, or no parking for street cleaning, etc. But don't leave your car in the same on-street spot for more than ten days, or it might get towed as an abandoned vehicle. -- The City Attorney's Office ((804) 646-7940) can give details.

If your house was raided by the cops and drugs was found but there was no arrest made can the police file charges in the future?

It is impossible to determine from the info given in the question why no arrests were made. In order to answer the question, one would have to know the purpose of the search warrant. Was it simply to seize the illicit drugs or was it done to identify who "possessed" them? The knowledge gained by the authorities during the successful drug seizure CAN be used as a basis for future law enforcement action.

What happened in the book Fake ID by Walter Sorrels?

In the book, Chastity and her mother have been on the run since Chass was a baby, assuming new identities in every town. She doesn't know why they are running, who her father is, or even her real name. On the night of Chass's sixteenth birthday, her mother disappears. Police find her abandoned car, blood matching her DNA, and a purse containing six ID cards. Chass doesn't believe her mother is dead, only that she had to run again. If Chastity doesn't find her mother in six days, she'll be put into foster care. She is chased by people who are trying to kill her while she is look for her mom. Once her mom gave her a key to open a deposit box , she only found an old CD , she played and it was a clu of a murder. On the tape, Kyle Van Epps told Chas's mom that he killed some girl he used to go out with and that he and 2 of his best friends were there on the crime scene. Chas noticed that the people that were chasing her worked for Van Epps Company; Chas's mom send her a text message saying that she was okay and that she will meet her @ midnight on a bar. When she got there , her mom was there with Van Epps and he told her to give him the tape or her mom will die. Chas gave him the tape but he ran away with her mom and the tape(this part is way longer but it is a lil summary so .... ). At the end, Van Epps went to jail, her mom was rescued and she was okay. But she still had the doubt of who her father was if it was Van Epps or not ? or if Van Epps and her mom were married and got divorced?..... but none of those questions are right. Her father was the music producer who recorded the tape but he got killed by Van Epps , Van Epps always know her mom got the tape and that's why they were always on the run. He even told her what her real name was but she changed it to Chassity Pureheart because that know she was known as by everyone else.

Would a financing company really pay a repo man to repo a 1996 car that has 100000 miles on it if only 240 dollars in late fees is the remaing balance and the principle has been paid?

Yes, because ultimately you are paying the fees.Is your your 1996 car worth more than $240.00..... probably.Add in another 250.00 or 300.00 for the repo and your looking at 500-600 is your car worth that auction?Probably yes but it doesn't matter because you are liable for the balance left from the cars auction.

If you have a tow truck that is not for hire and personal use do you need Illinois tow plates?

Yes you do. I have an '86 F-350 wrecker that I only use for personal use and still have to have tow truck plates on it. The way they made it sound, any second division vehicle designed to transport another vehicle must have tow truck plates. Rollback trucks CAN use regular flat weight plates, but only if the car sitting on them is licensed to YOU. If it's licensed to someone else or not licensed at all, you can get in big trouble.

The only DMV that you can get tow truck plates at in IL is the main one in Springfield. You can go to a remitter's office (commercial license and title service) and they can do it for you. The stupid thing is, they do not issue temporary plates for tow trucks, so you can't USE the truck until you get your permanent plates. The remitter's office here in my town only took a week to get the plates in from Springfield, but I still had to wait that week before I could use the truck. If you go to Springfield, they can give you the plates the same day.

The good thing is, the tow truck plates don't cost any more than flat weight truck plates.
