Best time is at Christmas. Usually sales are slumping during December do to everyone shopping for Christmas. I bought a used car on Christmas Eve at a great discount becasue the sales manager just wanted to hear the cash register ring once during the day.

I believe that this depends on the state/country in which the car is sold. Evidently in Kansas it is legal, as I was the customer that purchased one. The dealer did point out that the car had a new engine installed, but did not mention the salvage title until after the money had changed hands and the new paper work was finished. As far as the legalities, you should check the motor vehicle department, the county attorney, or your own attorney in your geographical location for local laws. I would consider the sale as very unethical, even if it is legal, and would never go back to this dealer again.

In many states dealers must disclose salvage vehicles. Did you run a Carfax? Call your state attorney general's office and find out what your legal options are since a salvage car is worth 40% less than a comparable clean titled car. If you had the car inspected (I hope you did) and it passed muster you can try and get a partial refund or threaten legal action.

Yes, they're great. I have a SpaceRunner. I bought it second hand with 90,000 miles on the clock about four or five years ago. It's now done over 170, 000 miles. I get it serviced regularly and have replaced the odd tyre and the battery once in that time, and a couple of light bulbs. When I got it, the gearbox had been a bit mashed and so I had to get fifth gear replaced - not at a Mitsubishi dealer, though, but still a bit ouch! Nothing other than that. It always starts, it always gets you there. I wouldn't bother with getting it serviced at a Mitsubishi dealer and not bother with using Mitsubishi spare parts - you just need to find a good independent servicing garage. The original engine feels barely run in and makes a nice roar when you ask it for a bit more. The interior is stylish and was way ahead of its time. Okay, the button for the water spray on the front lights doesn't work any more but I'm not fussed about that and my one-time partner broke the cassette machine but I'm not fussed about that either - just listen to the radio. It uses almost no oil and v. little water between services. The seats are comnfortable and it's good and solid on the road and feels like a friend and confidant after our few years together, facing the vicissitudes of life. I thought of giving it away once to a friend but, I'm afraid, in the end I couldn't bring myself to. Enough said?

You don't need a CDL to operate a vehicle with air brakes if the vehicle doesn't fall within the requirements to mandate a CDL licenced driver to operate it. For example, RVs often have air brakes, as do many of the trucks manufactured for companies like FedEx, UPS, Merita Bread, etc.

Repossessions do not show up on titles, however, they do show up on auto history reports. If there is a lien holder still on the title you will need to get them off by going to your local DMV.

Something safe... 4 doors with airbags. That would make the insurance cheaper, especially if it's a somewhat older model. Also, it's nice to have a safe car for that first wreck. I agree completely with the above answer. Safety is a primary consideration. Avoid tiny 4 cylinder cars and small sports cars. A larger (mid-size) sedan will be safe and practical...something like a Chevy Malibu or Impala. 4 doors aren't sporty, but he'll be glad he has them. Go for a V-6, enough power to merge safely onto the highway but not a race car. Also, the v-6 will be good on gas and insurance (as mentioned above). If you're looking for a used car, you might want to consider a 6 or 7 year old luxury car - they tend to be affordable, nicely equipped and well-maintained with lower than average miles.

More than likely you will not be prosecuted for hiding the car. But is this really what you want to do? Do you want to own a vehicle that can be repossessed at any time day or night at any location? Do you want the creditor calling you and trying to recover their property that you are hiding? You signed a contract to pay this loan off. You have defaulted on the contract so do what is right and save some money in the process. Voluntarily return the vehicle to the creditor which will reduce your creditor's expenses in retaking the car, and you will reduce the amount you will owe the creditor. But remember, you will still be responsible for paying any deficiency on your loan, and your creditor may still enter the repossession on your credit report. Sooner or later they will get the vehicle, and the longer it takes them the more it will cost you. They will seek a judgment against you. The judgment is the difference between what you owe on your loan and what your creditor receives when reselling your vehicle. A creditor who has followed the proper procedures for repossession and sale is generally allowed to sue you for a deficiency judgment to collect the loan balance. You should have talked to the creditor before any of this happened and tried to work out a new payment plan. But you did not do that, and now you are making it worse by hiding the car. Think about it.

If it's putting out black smoke when it acts like that it's probably a stuck injector. Otherwise, run a computer diagnostic test and a compression test.

#2, It could be the oxygen sensors, if that is the case then it will run OK until it warms up. if its the injector it will run bad all the time. we assume you have checked the air filter for signs of plugging up and that the air intake from the outside is clear, the little critters love to nest where they are not wanted, a clogged catalytic converter is a possibility, buy new or take off and bust up the element in the converter and store in a sealed bucket . busted element is worth about $100 to the right reclaim shop.

Put in reverse situation, if your car was taken by someone who has your title to the car and the car should not be missing, then you would want the car back even without a title.

People lose car title all the time, that doesn't mean they lose the car just because they lost the title and someone picked it up.

If the owner in the home is still mentally capable, they can sign a deed. If they are not mentally capable then you must obtain a power of attorney (from a court) to deal with their affairs and the person with power of attorney can sign the deed (providing a copy of the power of attorney in support).

If they are in a home and mentally capable and do not want to sign the deed then you can not transfer the car title.
