I have two gallon of paint. Same brand name. one is egg shell the other is flat. can I mix the to together?

ANSWER: As long as they are the same base, water or oil, you can mix them together. Realize though, that you will never be able to get touch up for the paint once it runs out unless you mix to a ratio that can be recreated.

There are different kinds of satin paint - you'd have to know if it was latex, oil, enamel, alkyd etc.

If they are both of the same base you can. Satin paint can be an acrylic or a latex,or an oil. Check on the can cleaning instructions for base. Jason Pollock used both in his work 'Bluepoles' which hangs in the Canberra museum I think

If you mix a flat and semi-gloss 1:1 you should end up with a paint in the eggshell range. Mix the same paints 1:3 and you should end up with a satin. Experiment with small amounts to get the desired gloss.

Chrome is a mirror-like finish on metals and some plastics. "Satin" chrome has a finish that is NOT mirror-like but brushed or dull.

Pergamum or Pergamon no longer exists. It was an ancient Greek city that would have been near the modern city of Bergama in Turkey. Satan doesn't "live" anywhere and that would include the ancient Pergamum.

Gesso is a primer. Artists sometimes apply it to a surface before painting on it. In fact, gesso looks a lot like paint. Originally, gesso only came in white.
