There can be a number of things going on when the engine quits or won't start when it's warm. One is a problem with the condenser related to the ignition points. Also, you should inspect the tightness of the fasteners since metal parts expand when they get hot. Another possible problem is that the ignition coil many need to be replaced.

There should be a red dipstick on the drivers side under the hood near the firewall. Similar to that of an automatic transmission.

It is located at the lower radiator hose where it connects with the block.

It's Either an MP6 or an MP7 An Identification code is stamped on top of trasaxle case.

my 1997 Saturn did the same thing over the summer. it went off when i changed my oil. also, check to see if you're putting the wrong kind of coolant in your car, it should only cost $40 to replace if you are.

When working on a car it is important to have a visual aid to help. A maintenance manual to this car will have a wiring diagram.

An engine coolant temperature sensor will usually need to be replaced when it is drawing too much or too little voltage. The sensor may also have a bad ground connection.

There should be two Oxygen sensors; the one that wears out most frequently is installed in the exhaust manifold, close to where the exhaust pipe connects. The second Oxygen sensor should be behind the catalytic converter.

noisy bearings would be the most readily observable sign that an alternator is failing. A noisy bearing will translate into extra heat, which will cause the diodes to fail.

Beyond that, look for low output (dimming lights) or perhaps excessive static through the radio. Some static can be caused by other sources, so you'll need to have the charging system checked to be sure, and if the lights only dim a little while the engine is at an idle, it may be more of a battery issue than a failing alternator.

Diodes can fail at any time, making an alternator useless, but they don't generally give much warning. Brushes can wear, and they too don't generally offer much warning. Windings can fail, but that is generally the result of some other problem, and the solid state regulator is just like any other transistorized device; it can fail from heat or just plain age, but it doesn't give a warning either.

Other than their size and the way they mount to the vehicle, alternators are pretty much the same for all vehicles.

Always test parts thoroughly before just replacing something.

When you turn the key, is there power? If not then check the battery, cables, solenoid etc. If so does the car turn over or click? If clicks then could be bad starter or solenoid or relay. If it turns over then need to check fuel pressure, spark and possibly any sensors that would make it not startable like the CPS or ignition module, coil. 96 and up can be scanned for free at most parts stores if you were able to get it there. If it has power, but no nothing when trying to start then check starter relay and terminals and cables. First check the basics. Make sure the battery is powering everything, then if it is cranking, check for spark. Fuel injected vehicles with a fuel pump in the tank, you will hear the pump operated for a few seconds after turning the key on. If you don't hear it, it might be bad or not getting power.

First you need to check the a/c relay switch located in the fuse box in the engine compartment, try switching it with the cooling fan relay,if this does not work, then you probably have a leak in the system and your a/c pressure switch is not allowing the a/c clutch to engage.

Has the engine coolant temp sensor ever been changed.

Hey Brian==it is in the fromt of the intake manifold. Drain the rakiator then remove it and install the new one. GoodluckJoe

That would acually be the fan sensor. There is a coolant temperature sensor on the right hand end (looking from the front) of the engine. When it fails, the idle speed goes a bit goofy and the engine tends to ide fast. The gauge will also do some interesting things as well.

This is best done with a cold engine but can be done hot, just be very very careful and make sure the pressure is off the cooling system but once you have released it, put the cap back on tight.

The sensor has 2 wires, yellow and black, and is clipped onto the sensor with a snap connector. Be careful not to pull the wires but to pull the sensor off with the plastic holder. Once the wires are free, then you can remove the old sensor.

Make sure to prepare the new one by wrapping teflon tape on the threads to seal it. That works best. Remove the old sensor and quickly put the new one into place and finger tighten. Once it snuggs up, then finish tightening it into place.

Make sure you replace the wires otherwise it will at least set an error code or 2.

remove the torx screws that hold in place, remove the bulbs from sockets

1. Place key in switch but leave off.

2. Find the data port driver side left of car just beneath dash. It will have two rows of eight, tiny terminals, or holes.

3. Insert paper clip into the far right terminal and 4th from the left terminal on top row. Doors will lock.

4. Hold down the Lock and Unlock button at the same time, making sure the paper clip is firmly in place. The doors should lock and unlock. Release buttons.

5. Within 60 seconds repeat the above steps for other fobs, otherwise they will not work.

6. Remove paper clip.

7. Tada. you did it.

give up and get a new car is a stupid solution. what you should do is try to locate visible screws to remove on the door (you will have to use a Philip's head for them). if there are non, pop off the little speaker and window control (flat head srewdriver) and there are screws in there as well. i am currently replacing the speakers on mine and i am working on the backseat today, so I'll post what i find out as i go on with it.

It SHOULD be on the clutch slave cylinder. Follow the hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder down to the slave cylinder. Depending on the vehicle, it could be behind the dust cover of the bell housing.

Trouble code P0708 means:Transmission range sensor circuit high input

The red liquid is transmission fluid. Whether you have a manual or automatic transmission, Saturn used ATF for both. You should get you car to a mechanic to find the leak before it causes damage to your transmission.
