I have a 2008 Saturn Vue. I was driving during a heavy rain storm, I had my wipers on the fasted they would go. Not long after, the passenger side wiper just quit. The drivers side wiper works fine. Could it be a window wiper motor?
The Body control module controls what happens when you turn the key. It powers up the Engine computer and various other computers. It also controls the headlights and a lot of other accessories. For example it will turn on day time running lamps when you start the car. If you leave the headlights on after turning off the car it will leave the headlights on for .5 hr afterwards and then it will turn them off for you so it wont kill the battery. The BCM (Body control Module) has a bunch of fuses in it along with a computer that you probably cant see due to the fact that is encapsulated in plastic. Hope this helps!

The belt and water pump must be replaced every 100,000 miles. All other years used a GM V6 that was also an interference engine. The 4 cylinder Saturn Vue did not use a belt but had a chain.

To remove the oil filter on a 2004 Saturn vue 2.2l. when you open the hood right in between the radiator and motor on the right side. You will see a big black plastic cap with a 1-1/4" socket on top. it has a internal oil filter. just twist the cap off and replace the oil filter and tighten cap back on.

There is a ceramic resistor under the car, in front, drivers side, in front of the drivers side tire, a single bolt holds it in place and a wiring harness connects to it. It's white and grey in color, about 1.5" x 3" long and about a half inch thick. Unplug it and unbolt it from the inner fender. Flip it over. If it's cracked either in the white or grey area, it's the cause of your problem. Take the part to the dealer, buy and install a new one. Problem solved! Part # 22618754

1996 Geo Tracker stalling when coming to a stop.?
I have four of these vehicles. The one with the 5 speed is the one that was doing this. It would sometimes stall at stop lights, restart and it was normal. I had a guy clean all the carbon out of the intake system which cost about $105.00 and it does not stall anymore. Be aware that he had the equipment needed to do this. I have heard that running a product named "Seafoam" through the intake can clean out carbon buildup. This is done two ways. The easiest way is to add the Seafoam directly to the fuel tank. Check the bottle for the proper amount to add. The second way is slightly more difficult, but probably more effective. First, start the vehicle. Then disconnect the vacuum hose that runs into the brake booster. SLOWLY add the product by introducing it into this line. The vacuum pulls it into the intake system. Do not choke the engine with it, add it SLOWLY. After adding the amount you are supposed to (again, check the bottle), shut the motor off and let it sit a while (1 hour?) During this time, the Seafoam will basically steam clean the intake. When you restart it, it will smoke like a freight train out of the exhaust, this is the carbon being blown out. DO NOT DRIVE IT, let it sit and run. Seafoam is catalytic converter safe, so don't worry. After this is done, the carbon problem should be much better, and power may be better. I've done this before, and it seems to work well. Check with a mechanic for clarification as to the vacuum line location. Good Luck.

For the 2006 model - turn the key to the on position (engine not running). Wait until the displays settle into the "ready" mode (several lights will turn off and seatbelt indicator will stop flashing/beeping). Depress the gas pedal THREE times, about one second apart (within ten seconds). The oil life indicator will switch from steady on to flashing. Then turn the key to the off position. Turn the ignition on once again and the indicator light will not come on--that will show you did it correctly. That's all you need to do.

AnswerFor the 2002-2005 Saturn Vue V4 or V6 - Under the hood you will see a black fuse box behind the battery. Open it up and you will see a red button, it is small and looks like a fuse but on the top it will say Oil-Res. Press and hold it for about 10 seconds. You may want to have a friend sit in the driver's seat and watch for the indicator to start flashing, which indicates you've activated the reset. It is the connection between the rack and pinion unit and the steering mechanism/column. It is routed through the firewall and has a rubber boot where it passes from the interior to exterior of the vehicle. There are two U-joints on the shaft (one inside and one outside).
There was a TSB or technical service bulletin advising to replace the bolt that attaches the shaft to the pinion system. Even though this has been recommended there are several (read a whole lot of) mechanics and parts folks who say it is better just to replace the entire lower/intermediate shaft.

AnswerOur 03 is in for this sort of problem, died on my wife while three hours from our house, ouch. Anyhow, tech says the crankshaft positioning sensor is bad ~$130.00 parts/labor.My 2002 had the same issue. A Body control module(computer) had to be replaced that controlled the crankshaft postioning sensor. $300! or so they said :( I don't trust mechanics!
2 weeks ago my 2002 Saturn vue was idling up by it self took it in mechanic said that my front axel crank shaft was crack Thursday just past he said you could come an pick up your car all finished. Picked it up on Thursday my daughter and myself were almost killed in the car because it excellerated on its own into rush hour traffic. I pulled over called them they say to bring back on Tuesday after the holiday went to drop off so that it is already there car did the same thing and completely died engine was shaking and everything now. AnswerI second the vote for crank position sensor. If it won't start until it cools off, that means the problem is a sensor. When the engine is cold, the computer is not using sensors. When it warms up, the computer starts using sensors.

I have a 2002 vue and it seems you would synchronize them all the same way. This is what the owner manual reads.... To manually synchronize your transmitter with the receiver press and hold the "lock" and "unlock" buttons on the transmitter at the same time for about 7 seconds while you are near your Saturn. The door locks will unlock or lock, depending on what their starting position is. If the door locks do not lock or unlock, see your Saturn retailer for service. Hope this helps.
