It is not recommended as the 2 cycle fuel has oil in it and can clog the carb creating a no start condition as well as a heavy duty smoking condition should the engine run on this mixture, not too cool for the environment.

What is stated above is correct, but if you did with out knowing, there well be no engine damage. The oil mix can clog carbs, some engines may run on it, others not. Plug would not be correct heat range for oil mix, could foul plug. Carbon more then likely well form on valves and in combustion camber. I am a small engine mechanic (retired 20Y), and I run it in my 4 stroke. I put a new engine on my snapper, and have used 2-cycle gas in it for over 4 years now with out a problem, no change in plug. I know better, but am tired of running out of one gas or the other, so I only get 2-cycle, as my trimmer and lawnboy run that. I'm going to change the head gasket just to see what has gone on over the last 4 years with the camber and valves. Don't do what I done, warranty would be void on new engine, and they would know in my case, once or twice, no. I'm still running the plug that cam with engine new. So tune up will be done with head gasket. If I have a real bad carbon problem, will go back to regular gas. So don't be lazy like me. I can fix any problems that arise, you may not. May be extra work on my part. Also, believe it or not, if you use a good 2-cycle oil, it well not smoke. I get a small puff at start up, but not running. I use Lawnboy oil.

My crusaders are fresh water cooled, so only do the fresh water side which is about 8 qts of antifreeze. Just pull of hose from seacock since it doesn't have strainers, flush with fresh water 1/2 hour then stick antifreeze in the bucket. When bucket is nearing empty, pour mystery oil down throat of carb, until motor chokes out and your done. Change oil and filter shrink wrap, see ya in the Spring.

most likely no. especially if it is a 1 cylinder. just like a lawnmower, the camshaft is built into the same peice as the crankshaft. you can't advance or retard the timing. i am most certain that your problem is in your carberuator. It is probably dumping too much gas into the cylinder. when the piston comes up and makes compression, the spark plug ignites and causes combustion, the exhaust valve opens and closes quickly, but there is so much gas in the cylinder that when the intake valve opens again to let more fuel in, the fuel already in the cylinder is still combusting and causes a backfire on the intake side which also burns all the fuel back up to the carberuator in a quick flash and backfire. i bet the spark plug is either fouled out, or showing signs of overheating from getting too hot because of prolonged combustion. tune up time.

On the batteries there will be a date stamp, these change depending on the battery manufacturer. Some are day/month/year, while some are month/day/year, while others are a circle with an arrow pointing to the month and year. You cannot gear something for both, you should be able to find a ratio that makes you happy. If you gear it for low end or fast take-off, you will lose tope end. If you gear it for top end you will lose the low end. There are alot of variable you did not mention, engine size, and performance mods. If you want it to have faster top end than it does now, decrease the size of the sproket on the drive axle or increase the sproket on the motor. I would not do both at once, change one or the other. Go to you local go-cart shop they should be able to help.

their are several forces at work but the main one is a cushion of high perasure air - the fan blades do not so much act as thrust as increasing the air preasure under the hovercraft - a rubber skirt surrounds the craft to keep the air in - if the hovercraft goes to high the air flows out and air preasure is lost and no more hovering - so hovercraft arent really flying so much as just sitting on a cushion of air - forward propulsion can come from a variety of engines but can be also produced by tilting the craft slightly allowing a bit of high preasure to escape from one side of the skirt

Without knowing the horsepower rating of the motor, I cannot identify the exact year model. What I can tell you is that the "OG" model Mercury, was in production mostly during the mid 1990"s.

if possible take the baffles out of the pipe but just don't run a straight pipe that is not good for your Exhaust Valves
