What type of oil goes in a 1986 Audi 5000S?
I had an `86 5000S (Gasoline model). It used SAE30 as I recall.
AnswerI would personally use 10w40 or 15w40.I concur with 15W40, my mechanic tells me to put 15w40 because it is thicker and older engines which are worn make it easier for oil to pass through and thus your oil pressure is low. 15W40 is Diesel engine oil but will not harm your gasoline engine, i have been putting it in my 1989 100CS quattro for years now and it runns better. For colder Canadian winters (-40C) I use 10W30 so it will turn over better when cold.

How do you change the speedometer sensor on a 1993 Toyota Corolla?
The speed sensor itself is located on top of the transmission housing, and it is accessable (though a bit of a reach). Go twords the back of the engine compartment (it's best to look through from the passenger side) If you look straight down from the back end of the fuel injector assembly you'll see a black connector hooked to some wires, right on top of the transmission housing. It's held in place by a single bolt. That is the speed sensor.
To remove it, first unplug the couple (the thing with the wires in it). It snaps in so you'l have to give it a squeeze to get it loose. Then with a 10mm wrench (or close to that) loosen the bolt. Once the bolt is out, grasp the sensor and pull it straight up. It will be oily and will have a gear on the bottom. That gear is spun by another gear inside the transmission. That's how it works.
I would strongly recommend doing some continuity tests with a multimeter. The sensor costs over two hundred freaking dollars.
How would I go about adding a trunk light to my 96 Mercury sable?
Go to your local auto parts store and get an add on hood light. It's a light that comes on when you tilt the hood up. Mount it in your trunk instead.
What skills and qualifications are required for you to enter a industry?
You need to specify an industry to get a good answer. A person working in the wheat industry probably doesnt need to know anything about the criminal justice system and a cop probably doesnt need to know anything about how to grow wheat..see what i mean.

Replace / Fix A Toyota Corolla Door Handle (98-02) First line of business - remove the door panel. The most obvious first screw is right above the interior handle. Pull off the arm rest. Get some leverage under one side and just pull. You can use the flat head screwdriver to push in some of the pins inside to pull it out more easily but just a good little bit of force should do the trick. Unscrew the two newly revealed screws underneath. To remove the window crank (if applicable) push the washer back toward the panel while pulling the crank toward yourself to expose the metal safety clip. Pry out the safety clip with the flat head screwdriver and the crank will come off. (Don't be shy about using as much force as necessary with the clip as it is made of malleable metal you can easily bend back if it's bent out too far) Remove the door panel by prying it off screw by screw. A little force is necessary but not enough to break the plastic Pull the door panel off but leave the interior handle hanging there on the door itself as it does not come off with the panel. Pull the plastic seal off. This may be a bit sticky, and don't remove more of it than you need as you will later need to re-seal this. Unscrew the three screws from the inside of the broken handle with the 10mm socket and wrench. Don't drop the screws inside the door, as there is a chance you may lose them in the pocket of oblivion to the right. If you do, you can get them out with a good magnet or just buy some new ones. (they're about 40 cents at a hardware store) Remove the old handle by pushing it out from the door and undoing it from the metal door handle rod. (for the handle pictured, you will have to squeeze the one side of the bright green piece and push out through the other.) Take off the old handle but leave the gold colored locking mechanism in place like so. Install the new handle in the same manner you took off the old handle. Finagle it in left to right around the bulky top end and the existing lock. Slide the lock through the hole in the handle designated for it. Once that snaps in you're ready to put the panel back together, so work backward from step 7.
How do you tighten the serpentine belt located on a Toyota Sienna?
I also have this problem with a 2004 Toyota Sienna. It seems that when it is cool and/or damp, then I get a whistle or squeal from the serpentine belt. I have not been able to get anyone to confirm how to adjust the belt and have not yet found the Haynes or Chiltons manual for this newer model. I'm not sure if this is the proper procedure but I WAS ABLE TO TIGHTEN the belt a little. There are two bolts on the alternator and an adjuster bolt. The ones facing the passenger side at the top rear and bottom front hold the alternator in place. By loosening those, I could then turn the adjuster bolt at the front bottom of the alternator. Due to the angle of the bolt, I needed two long extensions and a swivel. It's quite a trick using the swivel and keeping the socket on the bolt. I will watch for a while and see if I continue to get the squeal. I found one other query posted on the web about this squeal problem and mention that the dealer was not able to fix it saying it was normal. More to come if I get any new info.
Thanks for any input anyone can give.
This worked fine for me on our 2000 Sienna. I just would add the adjuster bolt did tighten
in the usual direction -clockwise. 1/4 to 1/2 turn did it. I would say just turn enough to stop the squealing.

How do I replace or install a starter on a 1997 Toyota Corolla 1.6L Automatic?
The answer is with difficulty, but this is how, remove the battery unplug the push in connector on the side of the air filter box, remove the top cover of the air filter, undo the three bolts holding the air filter box to the inner wing, remove the ducting to the filter box, unplug the sensor on the side of the throttle body, remove the perge canister near the fuel filter after removing the rubber pipe attatched to the top of it, this will now give you enough room at the top of the off side wing to get at the two bolts holding the motor to the bell housing, this looks an impossible task to begin with but with patients it can be done, do not undo these all the way yet but slacken them off, you now need to get under the car and work between the cross member to get at the motor, remove the battery feed terminal from the motor, and unplug the ignition connector, go back and remove the bolts completely to release the motor, the motor now has to be manipulated along the drive shaft towards the drivers side of the car and slowly moved passed all cables, like i said its a sod but it can be done, the best news is yet to come because these starters can be repaired for peanuts without buying a new one, log on to solenoid contacts on toyota
