How would you get the rear door of a 93 Toyota Corolla open if the outside handle stopped working and the inside handle didn't work because the child safety lock was on?

You should be able to reach the child lock around the side of the seat back. Get in the back seat.Go to the height of the lock on the seat back. Pull the seat back away from the door. You should be able to see the child lock. You may need a screwdriver to trip the lock. I know this works, I've done it several times on my 92 Prism (Toyota). You can locate it easier by looking at the other door. I also did it in less than a minute.

How do you change alt 100a fuse in a 1992 Toyota Corolla?

The fuse is bolted to two terminals inside the fuse box, it is possible to remove the part that contains the 100a fuse by releasing the retaining clips on the fuse holder and pulling up, then the two wires can be unbolted and the fuse replaced. You have to look very closely to locate the plastic clips, release them with a small screwdriver wile pulling up on the fuse.

I replaced the 40Amp fuse next to the 100 amp fuse!!! not so easy in a 1996 Toyota corolla!!! First unbolt entire fuse box. Take bottom covers off fuse box. Pull out three fuses together from fuse box from bottom side. Then you can unbolt the fuse you want. Then you can push fuse block back up inside big fuse assembly and the bolt back up and replace top!!!

Empty out your glovebox, Everything will fall out anyway. Open glovebox the squeeze the sides together unntil the latches allow it it drop all the way down. You will see a black plastic box about 8" or so long and 2 or 3" in height. That is the case for the filter. You may need a flat screwdriver to unlatch the cover of the case from the clips on the sides..ends, the filter element will slide right out and replace filter and re assemble the same way opposite

How do you install a tachometer on a 1998 Toyota Corolla Gli 1.6 automatic?

There a a couple different ways. You can get the entire dashboard cluster with a tachometer from a 7th Gereration Corolla, 1988 to 1993... (1988 was the first Model year Corolla went to Front Wheel drive) or an 8th Generation (Model years 1994 to 2002) And a dash cluster/ gauge assembly after Model year after 2002 will not work. If you choose to do this it is very important to report what you have done because you have also changed the odometer, if left UNreported to the DMV in your state is 'tampering" and a Felony, and they will not listen to "I forgot" or I didn't know'. You must be sure the gauge cluster comes from a car with the same ECU you have, the tachometer is 'given' it's information from the ECU. Another option is an aftermarket tachometer you can mount anwhere you choose, but the tachometer must be hooked up to the ECM, that is the source of the rpm's. I can write out a step by step procedure to do that ...leave a message on my board

if you want or need that. David.hutchison.3139

Why won't a 1990 Toyota Corolla start?

How much will it cost parts and labor to replace a 1999 Toyota Corolla engine?

A rebuilt 1.8 Liter 1 ZZ FE will run about $1500, and is every bit as good as new. A decent mechanic can change engines in less than one day, so 8 hours (they will charge you that even if it takes less time, which it probably will. A SLOW mechanic can do it in a day.. ) so $1500 + 8 hrs @ $60= $1980. This figure can vary quite a bit depending on if you get an entire long-block, mechanics rates, and several factors but it will be somewhere in there, the $2k range.
