Where is the thermostat located on a 1992 Toyota Paseo?
The Themostat is underneath the distributor cap, (the round thing with all the spark plug wires attached to it). Look underneath the distributor cap and you should be able to see the cover to the themostat, it's a hard job. It takes a 6 millimeter by 1.0 threads, long neck attachment, with a socket 11 milimeter or a 10 milimeter socket attachment to take the nut and bolt off. You may have to move some things to make it easier to get to it just remember what you move. Good Luck!!
How do you replace the antenna on the 1992 Toyota Paseo?
1. Remove radio 2. Unplug antenna cord (usually on the left of the radio as you are facing the radio) from the back of the radio. 3. Thread antenna cord by gradually pulling it through to where a hole is located down and in front of the driver's side car door(this is where the antenna cord comes down from windshield/window column). 4. Tie about four feet of a strong line or string to the end of the antenna cord plug (this will help when threading in the new antenna cord). 5. Unscrew the two screws holding the antenna assembly near the roof on the windshield/window column. 6. Carefully pull the antenna assembly up from the windshield/window column at the same angle as the column. Do this until the end of the antenna cord, with the string attached to the plug, is visible. 7. Untie the string or cord from the old plug and tie it on to the plug of the new antenna cord. 8. Carefully pull the attached string or cord from the hole located down and in front of the driver's side car door. At the same time make sure the cord is being fed through the hole where the antenna assembly fits. Keep pulling on the new cord until its plug appears at the hole located down and in front of the driver's side car door. Pull the new cord out through the hole eliminating all of the slack in the new cord. 9. Repeat steps 1 through 5, but in reverse order. Added: Excellent advice was given above. I was able to replace the antenna on my '92 Paseo. One word of advice: You may have trouble pulling up the antenna assembly up from the windshield/window column. This is because there are two clips located underneath the steering wheel assembly that are holding the antenna cable in place. I found this by accident when I was following the antenna cable starting from the end ( that plugs into radio) along underneath the steering column.

How do you recharge ac in Toyota Paseo 92?
Unless the car has happened to be converted to newer aged Ac units, itll be the old style coolant that HAS to be installed by a shop. It is no longer available to the public for sale. A can is roughly 15$ and installation typically 15$ so bout 30$ in all, for that fresh cold air!
How do you change a tail light on a 93 Toyota Paseo?
No need to pay those Toyota dealer prices. Very simple; open the trunk and look inside opposite the taillight needing replacement. Pull down the carpet just behind the lens; there are inserts the shape of a quarter holding the carpet in place but, will pop out. Once exposed you will see two nuts. Take those off; then you can just swing the entire lens out to either the left if it's the left lens or right,if it's the right lens. This is definitely a #1157 bulb replacement if it's the brake light. The wire leading to the bulb is sitting in a socket which if you turn the socket, will come out. Once out, turn the bulb to get that out and replace with new bulb. Put the socket back into place and remember to turn it into position to lock. Swing the lens back into position and replace the two screws originally taken off and fit the carpet back into place.
Why is my 1992 Toyota paseo overheating?
Cooling fans not coming on, thermostat stuck shut, low coolant, bad/plugged rad, water pump impeller not spinning, broken belt to water pump are places to start

I have replaced 5 thermostat's in my car in 3 years. I don't understand why it goes through them so fast but that always seems to be my problem.
How do I change thermostat on 1994 Toyota Paseo?
Hi,the thermstat is located at the engine side of the bottom radiator hose. The hose comes up to the end of the head. You remove the hose and two bolts that hold the aluminum adapter over the thermostat. The gasket is a oring that attaches to the thermostat and simply put it back in place. If it wants to fall out,put a dab of gasket sealer on the oring to make it stick to the housing. Not a lot.Put hose back on and usually it is easist to remove a temp sender on top of the housing to let it bleed up and fill the head, otherwise it will air lock and get hot.
The igniter is aka an Ignition control module, the OEM (original equipment) install is manufactured my nippidenso, but can be quite pricey, ive found that a igniter from a 97 Toyota Camry will work in a paseo, bought new $250-$300 from a junk yard (free if you want to fit it in your pocket), or $35
try replacing the rear main seal on your engine Try observing the source of your leak. Use a can of brake clean and spray it over all the areas where you see oil leaks built up. Make sure to clean the areas thoroughly so that no oil is left. Run your vehicle for your normal commute to and from work and when you get home, look underneath the motor and observe where the oil has leaked from. This should be easy to see since you have cleaned the areas underneath the motor. Wherever the most oil is present after this should be the main source of your leak. If it(the leak) is at the junction of the trans and the motor(rear main seal as mentioned above)take it to a shop to get it reapired if you wish to do so. It's not a DIY unless you have a lift, trans jack and necessary tools. If your vehicle has high mileage, you may see seepage(small leaks) from many areas. Clean those off as well to best determine your worst oil leak. Good Luck!!!!
What other Toyota's car egr valve will work on my 1996 Toyota Paseo?
I dont know what other egr valve will work, but I know they can be cleaned out and put back on the car. I have a 96 Paseo, and I soaked mine in carb cleaner and was able to get all the carbon out and put it back on the car and works fine.
How do you major tune up 1992 Toyota Paseo?
If you want to do a good tune-up here's what I suggest.
Things to buy:
- Plug Wires
- Spark Plugs
- Air Filter
- Fuel Filter
- PCV Valve
- Distributor Cap
- O2 Sensor
The above will cost you around $100 - $150 (I checked pricing on www.froogle.com). I'd also suggest getting an oil change. Everything I listed above you can do in your driveway, the fuel filter may be the only part that gives you a hard time. Good luck
How do you remove the ignition in a 1989 Ford Probe?
Hi. i have an 89 lx with a digital dash. well that is not too hard at all! first take off the stering wheel, 2 screws on the back and so on. it will take a bit of a good pull to get the wheel off. its really hard! then there is 3 screws above the speedometer, remove them. then there is about 4 screws below the ignition accross the bottom.then the whole dash around your instroment panel comes out. (may have to adjust the steering tilt to get it off) and then you can see the whole ignition. that is all that i know about getting her out. well any other Q's email: evanwolfe@mail.com

How much is it to change a automatic transmission to a standard if you have all the parts?
Its not worth the trouble. If your looking for a manual shift vehicle, look into buying another vehicle. Changing the transmission is just the start of it. You have to remove all the auto fluid lines, cooler(if applicable) and the linkage for the auto. Then replace with the manual shift linkage and shifter inside the cab. Also, keep in mind that there are different fluid capacities for coolant, engine oil(application specific) and even brake system desingns for autos vs. manuals.
How much can you get for your junked car?
If it runs and drives its worth at least a 1,000dollars but if its sitting then its no more than 500dollars.
You can't really put a price to a junk car. there are a lot of variables in play. A car that is street legal would be a min of $1,000, but junk cars can be worth next to nothing. The best thing is to contact a junk car removal company.
How do you install an alternator belt on Toyota Paseo?
I came here looking to find the answer to that question. I'm switching out the alternator in my paseo. the housing needs to be loosened on the alternator to reduce tension on the belt and then the belt should slide off the side... there is very little tension to release so the belt is just kinda stuck... I'm going to get a screw driver and pry it off... how I'm going to get the belt back on is another story that I'll deal with this evening

The gap should be on your sticker for engine id under the hood.It is .043.You have two plugs with wires and two with coil packs. You need a long socket to make it easier.Otherwise you may have fun getting the plug up out of the hole.So be careful and patient.Put some antiseize etc on the new plugs when you put them in.Slightly snug not over tight.
Where is the egr valve located 1993 paseo?
It may not have one. If it did it would be connected to the exhaust pipes at some point and also to the intake. Unless it was sold in california, it probably won't have one.
Where is the fuel filter located at on a 1992 Toyota Paseo?
Fuel Filter is located in the engine compartment, on the driver side firewall. About mid way down. About 4-6 inches in length, and about 2-4 inches wide with top and bottom connections.
You will have to remove the Air Intake hoses coming from Intake and air filter box.
The top bolt is pretty big, like a 16mm i believe. I had to use a 1/2 inch drive, with a 12 inch extension to reach it from the top. Cant remember the bottom.
It will also have a U clamp with 2 8 mm bolts i believe it was, that will hold it to the wall.
Are you overheating? If so,you may have a radiator that is plugged and needs replaced. It may just be too old and is leaking still needing replaced.Third,if you have a head gasket blown,it can push the coolant out of the system. You would have to check the compression to find this problem, not a hard one to diagnose either.
