No if you do installation correctly, it's not just "plug'n'play" !

k44pgWhat color is the smoke, is it blue or is it white. If it's blue it's burning oil , if it's white, the mufflers have water in them from condin sation. Simple fix just drill small holes in the bottom of the mufflers. What is happening, the mufflers get hot , boil the water inside, result smoke. If your supercharger is an Eaton type supercharger and it is making noise that is an early indication that the supercharger might need a rebuild. A lot of times the noise is actually coming from a little coupler that is located in the inside of the supercharger. This coupler has 6 holes in it and over time these rounded holes will wear out and become an oval shape. Once it becomes oval shape the supercharger will start to make a rattle sound. If left untreated the rattle will lead to the bearings going bad and then the seals. You will then need to get a complete rebuilt done on the supercharger.

The coupler is easy to replace. You basically have to take the supercharger noise off with the 6 bolts that holds it and then once the two ends pull a part the coupler will be sitting right there. Just slide the coupler off of the pins and replace it. Then slide the two ends together and bolt it back up. You will also need to refill the supercharger with oil.

No such item -- "relay sensor". However, relays themselves are located:

1. in the Relay Center -- behind the glove box (open glove box, pull rear wall tab toward you while continue opening: dump glove box contents on floor). Behind and to the right, at kick panel.

2. in the engine compartment, at the filewall, under a 2-nut cardboard cover.

3. in the engine compartment, at the load leveling compressor pump.

Most "sensors" are located in the engine compartment. Plz re-submit question and be a little more specific.

I will jump in and say that there are many locations for relays such as: 1) the relay cneter array located in eng. comp't on pass side just below Maxi-fuse array and has cover over top of both. Remove two plastic snaps by twisting. Push aside cover to locate relays and fuses above. 2) On passenger side near floor. Remove bottom cover near floor and drop this down. You will see both fuses and relays looking up and right. Diagram on inside of cover mentioned above. Mike from MN

Depends on the how hard the vehicle is driven. 99% of all factory supercharged vehicles are using eaton roots type superchargers/Positive displacement. Eaton superchargers web site states, "they are designed to last the life of the vehicle". The only centrifugal (paxton,vortech,procharger,rotex type) factory superchargered vehicles (that I know of) are the previous keonisegg and the Alpina B7Centrifical superchargers. Eaton states that the oil in the gear case is designed for the life of the supercharger/doesn't need changing, but say if they are frequently raced 20k miles cahanges are ok. I know centrifugal types have problems with drive belt life, especially when pushing higher boost. Prochargers recommend 6k mile oil changes for thier self containted oiled superchargers.

Adding a turbo to a v8 that already has a supercharger, isn't worth it/cost effective. If you are removing the supercharger and converting it to turbocharged then yes. The engine is built for the load/power and is the best candidate for turbocharging.

VGT means "variable geometry turbocharger." Cummins uses these. They can change the angle of the impeller blades to increase or decrease boost.

there is no such thing as an inlet exhause valve, you have the inlet valve which lets your air/fuel mixture enter the engine for the power stroke and the exhaust valve which allows the burnt out air/fuel mixture to leave the engine after that the inlet valve re-opens and lets fresh or new air/fuel mixture enter to let it be compressed and combust for the power stroke.

First, the correct name is "Intake" valve.

There are intake, intermediate intake and exhaust valves in some newer foreign made engines.

The engine code is located on the side of the block near the rear where the trans and engine bolts up. 1994 had a factory D16Z6 V TEC, I would check the numbers to confirm.

Your question is very vague and the answer depends on the question you were trying to ask.

If you were asking if an exhaust system for a turbo charged engine exists, then the answer is yes. If the turbo did not come standard with the vehicle, then its less likely for an exhaust system for that setup has a chance to not be available and would have to be custom fabricated.

On the other hand if your question was asking if there was a turbo that attached to the exhaust system near the rear of the car as opposed to under the hood next to the engine, the answer is also yes.

yes it still works the same on a automatic car that is turbo, as it does on a manual, it works off the waste gate not the tranny

You can but the extra heat caused by the turbo will go into your engine and it won't make as much power. It does reduce lag though because the air doesn't have to go as far to get to the engine. So there are advantages both ways.

Just depends on what you want, a superchager will supply torque from low revs all the way to the red line, while a turbo will normally lag on lower revs and then kick in. My turbo only kicks in at 2300 rpm, so the first few seconds there's about no power. A supercharger will also make a nice sound!!

All turbos will give a blow off valve noise but the higher the pressure in the boost pipes (eg) higher boost, the louder the blow off noise and if you have a recirculation valve remove that with a remap and the noise will be even louder.

The 84-86 SVO all came with a Garret T3 turbocharger but there are some differences in years. The 84 and 85 cars came with an oil cooled .60/.63A/r turbo and the 85.5 and 86 cars came with a .60/.48A/r turbo which was oil and water cooled.

GST ECU is designed for turbo. you will have problems with ECU, but nothing that can't be resolved. It's a pain, but it can be done with minor motor mount mods.
