You'll need to custom build a chassis and then adapt a Corsa body to fit on top - the drivechain, gearbox and so on will all need to be replaced too. It could be done, but it'd be a major project far in advance of anything most amateur and even mechanical mechanics could manage.

if the engine is an izuzu then the crankshaft pully must be aligned to tdc mark the injection pump and camshaft must be locked by screwing a bolt through a hole in the pully and into the backplate a 10/11mm and a 13mm bolt will be required. the crank pully may have to be fitted to find the tdc mark.

This may be fuel starvation,it caused lots of carb.engined vauxhalls to mysteriously stop in the 90's.This costs pence to do so nothing lost if it doesn't help this time.For some reason as the float closed off the needle valve,the fuel flowed at full pressure back to the tank and the carb.supply pipe was starved. Look near the cambox for a egg-cup sized plastic vessel (the swirl pot).There is three fuel pipes on it. one "in"from the fuel pump. One "out" to the carb. And the angled one on the top is the excess fuel return.Remove this pipe from the swirl pot and insert a bit of metal bar with a 1mm hole through the middle.This just has to be a tight fit,about 7mm dia and 12mm long.It restricts the return enough to stop the starvation problem.Good luck.

its your engine management light, you need to take the car to an auto electrician and get him to plug it in and tell you what the problem is, its common on veccys there are too many stupid sensors.

it must be a massive problem all through the vauxhall range my partner just bought a sreg corsa breeze same orange light comes on at 60 mph,i read a hundred e-mails from people with the same problem,had a diagnostic check they say cant find any fault but it still happens no further forward.

All Vauxhall 2.2 petrol engines in Astra and Zafira have a chain.

The Sintra and the Omega are belt driven as they were fitted with what was in effect a bored out version of the X20XEV which was belt driven.

This is most likely to be your parcel shelf rattling around. A guy from Vauxhall gave me a tip that if you fill the two hollow rubber tubes that are attached to the tailgate which push against the parcel shelf with tissue it will stop the noise. I did this and sure enough the squeaking stopped.

I believe that the 1.2 Corsa engine swapped to a chain driven cam with the move to the 'latest shape' cars - usually Y registration and onwards. A 2000 Corsa is the previous model and will, I reckon, have the belt driven cam. So, it's 4year/40,000 mile belt changes under vauxhall's latest recommendations.

I think it's telling you there is a possible problem with the auto-box.Corsa's are like this,so I'm guessing Astra is the same. The "S" should light up when you press the sport button on the gear selector,this causes the intermediate gears to hold on longer for accelleration or hillclimbing with a caravan on the back.You could try cycling the "S" button to see if it helps,though I think it cancels anyway with ign off. The "S" symbol flashes to alert you to a problem,it may require no more than a computer reset.The gearbox is checked for faults with a diagnostic kit,same as the engine.Hopefully,a short visit to a dealer will solve it for you.

We had the same problem with a 1995 Asta - I plugged the scanner in and cleared all the codes and the light no longer flashes, so your answer seems perfectly correct!

Check the fuel injection air-intake. I had a similar problem on my Alfa when there was a leak in the pipe between the air-filter and the manifold. idle control switch on throttle body try taking off the idle control valve and giving it a good clean out with some choke and carb cleaner it comes in a spray can i had this problem with my vectra apparently it is a common fault with them once i cleaned the control valve all was ok

The last set of these that I fitted,were vauxhall supplied,and required just fitting.They were oil filled and ready to go. Don't think I remember any that could be filled with oil,just regard them like a big shock absorber.

Can't do it unless you fit a custom kit. Wouldn't recommend it though, get a MK4 with CC instead.

"Blown seals" are seals that are either worn out or have become stiff and now leak the fluid they are supposed to control.
