Check the fuse box cover, it should be labelled with its own diagram.

try replacing the fuse. i had the same problem after trying to use a phone charger. you have to put it in perfectly or the negative and positive contacts touch and blow the fuse. it wasn't designed for power on the old ones. i have a 93. it does work but you have to put it in directly with out twisting. kind of a pain. try it

Its almost definitely in the fuse panel

it is located right beside the farmerstat bearing,but you will need a skyhook and a left-handed monkey wrench to change it

under the driver's side dash. You'll have to lay down and look up from the floor board. There is a cover to the fuse box you have to remove.

For a 2001 Mercury Cougar :

In the passenger compartment fuse panel , below the instrument panel

( # 27 is a blue color 15 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter )

( # 17 ) is a 25 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter in your 1998 Ford Explorer

( in the fuse panel in the drivers end of the dash , the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open )

If simialar to the Matrix, one is under the hood next to the driver's side fender, and another is under the dash just in front of where the driver's left knee would be. Have to get on your back to access it. Both have a removable black cover.

on the 1.8 arctic the fuse for the cigarette lighter is not where it says it is in the manual. You should see a fuse to the left of the one i should be - in the book this should be empty. That will be your cigarette lighter fuse.

A suggestion: First things first. Check owner's manual to see if there are other devices sharing the same fuse. If there is only the horn on that circuit, pull wire off the horn. Push horn button to see if the fuse still blows. If it doesn't then you know the horn element is shorted and the horn must be replaced. In my car, the horn shares a circuit with the cigarette lighter and interior lights. The cigarette lighter is a common cause of a short and thus will also short out the other devices. So, if it is a shared circuit, by process of elimination(disconnecting each device one-by-on) the short should be located and that device replaced.

it is under the steering wheel there are 2 buttons you turn and the panel comes off and there are your fuses.....

there are 3 fuse box locations on a 94-01 acura integra.doesnt matter if its a rs, gs, ls, GS-R, type-R.

the main box the monitors your blinkers, interior lights, fog lights, door lights and so on is LOCATED under your steering wheel. it should be on the left side; above your KNEEs.

the 2nd most important fuse box would be under the engine located next to the battery. it contain. your fuel injection / engine management + and alot of important things. the 2nd fuse box contant some very important fuse such as your battery fuse, radio fuse, headlights, as i recommend you place those BIG fuses if they are damage or blown. believe me it sucks trying to figure out why your car don't start when its just the 100-AMP fuse located by your battery. if that fuse is blown..... don't even dream about cranking your car. and if the 40-AMP fuse is blown don't dream about LISTENING to your audio.

the 3rd and least important fuse box would be a 2 1/2 inch x 6 inch box by your fuel injection system .. this is gona be your ABS relay` (yes.. no ABS means.. you can lock your break and really hurt yourself)

its always good to be a little noisy and look at all your fuses every 6-7 months. (as i always do)

because when your car don't start and you end up spending 100's of dollars trying to buy new battery, starters, igintion coils, and all this crap when it was just your $3.50 100AMP fuse that isn't allowing your car to crank.

Open the passenger door, look on the side of the dash, you should see the fuse cover.

The fuse box (grey) is located behind the kick panel above the emergency brake. When open the fuses are listed on the front side of the fuse box access door. There is a fuse puller inside of the fuse box cover.

Many of the fuses are under the hood, driver's side under a black plastic cover. They will be labeled accordingly, and will take a combination of small and regular size fuses. If you can't find the fuse under the dash panel (driver's side) then that is where it will be. Replace the fuse anyway even if it doesn't look blown cause you can't always tell. And always use the correct size fuse because it can cause serious issues (like electrical problems or fire) if you use incorrect ones.

look under the steering wheel. its a box in the upper left with all the fuses

Change the fuse, check the wiring, change the element.

You can find a Chevy Corsica cigarette lighter fuse in the fuse box. The cigarette lighter fuse will be one of the four auxiliary fuses at the bottom of the second column.

It is behind the driver side kick panel. Left column second fuse from the the top. The fuse should be a 15amp. To remove the kick panel you push remove the side molding/trim first. No worries you can do this with your hands no tools needed

In the underside of the dash, under the steering wheel (a bit left of where the column meets the dash). It should have a label saying "FUSES". You press it, than pull it open. -Ted

In a 2001 Lincoln LS, the fuse box is located under the dashboard on the driver's side. To access it, you may need to remove a cover or panel. There is also a second fuse box located in the engine compartment, near the battery. Check the owner's manual for specific fuse locations related to the cigarette lighter.
