There are a couple models, if you have a 4 x 4 it will start with a K, if not it will start with a C. A half ton truck is a 1500, a 3/4 ton is 2500, and a one ton is a 3500.

A 1974 Chevy 400 came with either a 2 bbl or 4 bbl carb. The 2 bbl made an advertised 295 ft. lbs of torque at 2600 rpm, and the 4 bbl made 290 ft. lbs at 2400 rpm.

i suggest changing the distributor. i had erratic timing for a while, during cruising speed the emgine would chug here and there. One day I decided to replace the distributor cured my erratic timing, and stopped the chugging.

It could have the 4.2L L6 or the 5.3L V8.

Should say desired pressure on tire in tiny numbers

Take off the valve cover & loosen or tighten the rocker arms. This should not be done by amateurs. Misadjustments can cause valve to piston clearance problems.

Pull the torque convertor out, they are on the front of the tranny inside the bell housing.

Salvage yard is your best choice.

There are multiple options when it comes to body dropping your truck. One method involves boxing the frame rails under the cab (where it is a c shaped channel) while trimming off the top of the c to gain some clearance to lower the body. The front of the frame rails also has to be lowered to bring the front two body mounts down into alignment with the new lower location of the cab in relation to the frame rails. The body drop is the single most difficult modification you can make to a custom vehicle, in my opinion. There is much that goes into it that can't be easily described here. Before attempting such a difficult modification I would recommend doing extensive research and planning.

All V8 engines have the same firing order. 1,3,5,7 is the left bank, 2,4,6,8 is the right bank and the distributor rotates clockwise. 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2

That is with you sitting in the drivers seat / Left and Right.

40 psi with a warmed up engine sounds normal to me.

Their shape and aerodynamic efficiency makes them streamlined.

Take off your distributor cap and use a blow dryer to dry out the cap and components. Its possible you have a hair line fracture in the cap.

Nothing that I know of, from the factory, anyway. Sounds like it might be a stroker motor. 383, maybe. You would need to know the bore, and stroke configuration, to figure the cubic inches.

Not hard with the proper tools and equipment. A shop repair manual would be helpful.
