There is nothing adjustable on that system, except whatever the headlight knob has available. That is usually just a timer adjustment. As far as sensitivity adjustments there are none.

As you are faceing the engine from the front of the car it is on the right hand side just in front of the alternator, and to th right of the windshield washer resivor.

Ther is no repair. You need to purchase a new on , sold at most auto parts stores. It may come with installation instructions.

On an inline 4 cylinder, #1 is the cylinder closest to the belts.

There is only one and it is located in the side tank of the radiator.

Get an engine computer code read out . Could be a fuel sensor problem or even a mass air flow sensor. It could let you down if you don;t get it repaired.

oh the gremlins have got you too. Just had this same problem with 96 lesabre i bought 2 months ago. Try checking at the positive battery cable. It has a double cable, one goes to the starter, the other is main power to all acc at fuse block power. Be sure both cables are clean, AND check the threads in the batt for corrosion. To be sure I pulled the main fuese panel cover under hood top pass. side, pulled all fuses and relays [ one by one] put some dialectric grease [can get at any auto parts store] and put SMALL dab on all terminals. Also between fuse block terminals on top there is a nut the power cable goes to, I loosened the nut and squeezed some grease in there too, but its a tight fit. Mine died, would crank but not start and no windows, I think it was because the cable to batt was pretty clean, but inside batt and cale to main fuse block were corroded. Haven't had a problem since

Note: the fuel pump shuts off because the oil pressure dropped: it has a sensor that turns off the fuel so if you're in an accident and a fire starts, you won't get a continually-fed gas fire. So the fuel pump is behaving exactly as it should when the car itself dies. Can't address the dying in the first place or the power windows question, however.

You have a blown head gasket. Antifreeze that should be going through a hole in your gasket and then cooling the engine head is going into a cylinder. From there it is going out an exhaust pipe as steam. It is also getting into an oil drain hole and getting into the oil pan. It is inexpensive to get a head gasket fixed compared to the cost of having a blown engine replaced.

To replace a fuel filter, locate the fuel pump relay and unplug it. Now, start the car and wait for it to die from lack of fuel. Then try to start it a few more times to make sure most of the fuel in the lines is gone. No, find the fuel filter and remove it via nessecary means. Be aware that some fuel will still come out when the lines are loosened and removed. Put the new filter on and tighten lines to spec, or use appropriate clips. Plug in the fuel pump relay again and turn the key on, then off a few times waiting 5 seconds before shutting it off and doing it again (without starting the engine). This will prim the fuel lines. Then start the engine and look at the filter while running to check for leaks.

Deactivate air bags as directed by auto manual, check Delco stereo antitheft reactivation info, and then disconnect negative battery terminal. You must drop the plastic cover under the dash on the passenger side - leave it hanging. Open the glove box and at the back top edge are two rubber flaps that can be flipped forward to allow the glove box to flop all the way open; you must lift the glove box slightly to flip the rubber flaps forward. The vacuum lines are four color coded plastic lines clearly visable. You can check for vacuum with the engine running as described at the web site above. Unscrew the 7mm nut holding the vacuum lines to the Vacuum controller box and wiggle it off. Mine had a stripped 7mm nut; I had to cut the vacuum lines about four inches from the connector using tin snips. (This actually worked better for me when I reconnected the vacuum hoses as I had 4 inch splices to connect to the inside the box vacuum lines) Remove the HVAC controller box - two 7mm screws. Unplug the large electrical connector by squeezing the orange plug and gently wiggle it out. Remove the electrical connector at the top of box as well. The plastic link at the bottom of the unit can be pulled off the metal cotrol arm and tipped off the Vacuum controller box and set aside. The black box will feed through the glove box with some twisting and turning. Remove the box cover. I noted the color code connections from inside the box to outside and removed the black plastic connector and cut the vacuum lines off. You will need some 1/8 inch interior diameter rubber splices to join the vacuum lines from inside the box to outside. (I tried store bought vacuum connectors the you insert inside the lines, but the vacuum lines were not flexible enough to allow insertion) You essentially completely bypass the factory connectors and make your own splices for a direct connection to the external vacuum lines matching colors that you noted earlier. I used 1/2 inch long rubber insulator from a coax cable - crazy, but it worked. You want something that won't collapse as there is a fair amount of vacuum on the lines. Put it all back together and pat yourself on the back. This fix works on Buick Park Avenues also.

It is a Group 78, but check for the venting tubes otherwise the fumes will eat your back seat

The overdrive is before the drive because as you ordinarly drive down the road your car automaticaly goes into overdive when you reach a certain speed. You use drive only when you are pulling a trailer or going up a large hill so it won't go into overdrive and put undo work on the transmission or motor. It is also a gas saving factor.

Change the air filter, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter(if necessary).

One of the main causes for a 1998 Buick LeSabre to die while driving is a problem with the computer. The computer might tell the fuel pump to shut off and stop sending fuel to the motor.

The battery is located under the rear seat cushion on your 2001 Buick Lesabre.

First, the clutch won't engage if the refrigerant level is low. Start there. Next, check the sensor at the receiver/dryer.

Do check for power at the grid and make sure that the connections are clean. Many times these things are just dirty connections.
