The overdrive is before the drive because as you ordinarly drive down the road your car automaticaly goes into overdive when you reach a certain speed. You use drive only when you are pulling a trailer or going up a large hill so it won't go into overdrive and put undo work on the transmission or motor. It is also a gas saving factor.

Change the air filter, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter(if necessary).

One of the main causes for a 1998 Buick LeSabre to die while driving is a problem with the computer. The computer might tell the fuel pump to shut off and stop sending fuel to the motor.

First, the clutch won't engage if the refrigerant level is low. Start there. Next, check the sensor at the receiver/dryer.

Do check for power at the grid and make sure that the connections are clean. Many times these things are just dirty connections.

My flasher was in the upper left hand side under the dash. Over the steering column. The four way flasher is the lower and the turn signals is the upper flasher.

I have this problem many times myself. Both Drivers and Passengers windows. Must be the 6th or 7th time happened to me now. There is a screw inside behind the inside bottom door light. Pull straight out the triangle shape looking plastic at the top right of the door. There is a screw behind that. Finally, the last screw is behind the door handle somewhere. Once you have all the screws out. Lift the door panel straight up. If it doesnt go up easily, possilby more screw somewhere and you will just have to look for it. Then you will have to unplug all those wiring behind it such as power window, power lock and power mirror (if any). Hope this help. Good luck!

it should be on the bottom engine side of the radiator opposite the lower hose. you may need to remove the plastic sheilding from the bottom to get to it

In the fuel tank. Need to drop it down and remove from the top.

Located in the fuel tank - probably have to remove for access

the crankshaft sensor is located behind the harmonic balancer on the ft timing cover

Relieve coolant pressure.

Unplug it.

Unscrew it.

Screw the new one in before any significant amount of coolant escapes.

Connect the electrical connector to the new sensor.

Consider replacing the thermostat.

I've run into the same problem. Local auto part stores do not carry it because 2003 is too new? Anyways, you'll more than likely have to purchase from dealer. I've combed the internet and the only regulators available are made for Town Cars....

we had the same problem. we changed the Crankshaft Position sensor, and also the camshaft position sensor. changed ignition coils, and the module under the ignition coil, and still had the stalling problem. an auto mechanic bought it from us and he discovered all that it was was a pinched wire under the ignition module.

probably a faulty headlight switch, or you have a bare wire somewhere. My 92 Lesaber is made so the headlights come on automaticaly or you can turn them on with a headlight switch.

To change the spark plug wires on a 97 Buick LeSabre, first pull the wires loose from the plugs. After these are removed, pull the wires loose from the opposite end and replace them.

The fuel filter canister should be mounted on the drivers side rear frame rail by the rear wheel >answer also look on the passenger rear side
