How do you remove 1986 Buick Park Avenue rear bumper?
well to start with you need to remove the bumper reinforcement piece from the bumper shocks ( the things that go in if some one hits you). But if its like mine, I am haveing fun getting it off because the bolts are so dang rusty, they are just stuck. The one side of the reinforcement is rusted through so my bumper is just setting on the support piece. Well hope to have been some help.
What is the cost for replacing a broken rear bumper on a 1999 Honda Civic?
Depends on if it's just the cover and if you do the remove and replace yourself. I did a 2008 Civic rear bumper cover for $250 (real Honda part) + $260 for painting. Took me about 1.5 hrs total - had to put the back of the car on stands , take the rear wheels off, remove the mudflaps, undo 6 bolts and remove the old one. Install was the reverse - needs 2 people to handle the new cover.
What does the Bumper Bully do?
The Bumper Bully is an ergonomically designed all weather bumper guard. It was designed to replace the ugly, bulky bumper guards and bumper protector products that glue to your car bumper. Our unique rear bumper protector shields your car bumper from the vehicle behind you. When properly attached it may help protect the bumpers finish from minor scratches during parking maneuvers. Having a Bumper Bully attached is like hiring a body guard to watch over your car. Stop being bullied by other cars. The Bumper Bully is an innovative new bumper protection product that's easy to use and quick to attach/remove. Its a temporary parking guard for the rear bumper that can be used for indoor parking garages, outdoor parking garages, valet parking garages and outdoor applications, such as street parking. Each year millions of dollars are spent fixing bumpers, most of which are damaged in parking garages and street parking. This figure is likely to increase, as more cars are being introduced with plastic bumpers. Likewise the demand for bumper protection accessories will also increase. The Bumper Bully is unique because it focuses on protecting the middle portion of the rear bumper, the area most often damaged in parking. Our rear bumper protector was designed for maximum rear bumper coverage (46”x12”), while maintaining a compact design.

First remove the bumper under tray, then remove the front of both front inner wheel liners. Then there is one 10mm bolt on both lh and rh sides behind the bumper above both front merker lights. Then remove the two 10mm bolts above both headlamp assemblies, and don't forget to remove the bumper slowly so that you can disconnect the bumper harness.

Just replaced on Dodge Gr Caravan '97 usingEnergy Suspension 9.9143G (from Amazon.com). My old ones screwed off (squarish base plate was attached to a screw). Had to get a big set of pliers since the base was about 3-1/2 in. Just screwed new ones into frame using 8mm x 25mm socket head cap screw, 1.25mm screw thread, using a 6mm Allen wrench.

hard to say without seeing it. technically they have the right of way in the lane and you are responsible for backing out safely. if they just spun through the lot and turned into the space after you had started out, then you have a case. did your bumper hit the side of their car? they were likely 1st then.

How do you remove the bumper from a 1995 Ford Escort?
Removing the rear bumper is a relatively easy project. It's best to have two people, but you can probably get this project done with one person if you use extra care. I recently replaced the rear bumper of my 1995 Ford Escort LX Hatchback, but I think the bumper assembly is the same for 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 Ford Escorts. First, there are six retaining nuts that will need to be removed, three on each side of the car. If you look under the car you will quickly see two of the retaining nuts behind the bumper on the passenger and driver side. Remove these two lower retaining nuts first, that way you will eliminate the chance of the bumper falling on you. This should be the only time you are directly under the car. On my hatchback I also had to remove the luggage compartment rear panel to gain access to the four remaining retaining nuts. Removing the interior rear panel was probably the most difficult task because I did not want to damage the cheap plastic plugs that hold the rear inside panel to the body of the car. After removing the panel, remove the four remaining retaining nuts located at the bottom of the rear interior luggage compartment. After removing all six retaining nuts the bumper should slide off the set bolts that are located on each side of the bumper. The set bolts keep the sides of the bumper flush with the car panel. When installing the bumper you will need to guide the new bumper on these set bolts to properly mount the bumper. If you are having difficulting taking off the bumper after you have removed the six retaining nuts, you may have to loosen (not remove) the set bolts. To loosen a set bolt you will need to remove the mud guards located just behind the wheels. When I was removing my bumper I only had to loosen one set bolt about one turn which was difficult enough because there is very little room to work in. The set bolt is located just behind the mud guard. You may need to use a flashlight to see it.
Factory service manuals that have been scanned and converted to Adobe Acrobat files are available for just a few dollars on eBay. Although I cannot tell you that I have seen the instructions to remove the bumper cover in these manuals they have the most complete instructions available since the original paper manual is put out by Subaru.
Can you interchanger a bumper from a 1989 325is to a 1987 BMW 325e 2dr?
that depends. does your 325e have a aluminum bumper or a plastic bumper? if it has the aluminum bumper, you should order new bumper shocks for an post face-lift 87 model. post 8/87. the reason? the shocks that fit aluminum bumpers are very long, and if u attach a plastic bumper, it will stick out too far.
if the 325e has a plastic bumper, then everything will be as easy as detaching and re-attaching your bumper.
How can you remove another car's paint from the bumper of your car?
Contact you local automotive paint store. The should have the correct products. The major companines are 3M and Mequiers. "Goo Gone" works great! Or, Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser used VERY lightly.
IF its just the paint , try 1500 grit wet sanding , then get a buffing/polish compout for the cars original paint for after you sanded off the foreign paint
So yes - if it's just the other car's paint that is on your car, you can get it buffed out. I'm speaking from prior experience. I've also hit a yellow pole, where the pole's paint got onto my bumper and it was easily buffed (polished) out.
If the scratch appears thin and white, it probably hasn't penetrated through the clear coat.If it is body-colored or shows metal, you've got a deeper problem. You should go to an Overspray shop, surely they know what will they do to your car.
