Take plastic panel off under stearing column (4 screws - two holding on hood release). There's a metal panel behind that (take off 5 small bolts). It's to the left of the stearing column. could be blue or yellow with 5 wires coming off it. It slides off a plastic attachment. I Know it says in the manual it's to the right of the stearing column..........but not always.

1)Fuse blown (Consult owner's manual) 2)open circuit (broken wire somewhere within the entire path, from tail light to battery!) 3)Faulty Lamp Failure Sensor (e.g., the little yellow box behind the carpeting in the driver's side of the trunk of my 1991 Camry) It's tough...just repaired the box (fixed brake lights); everything was fine, until the next day...now the taillights, dash lights are out, as the fuse keeps blowing. MAY be related, but everything worked fine (after the first repair) for 24 hours... Electrical stuff CAN be tough...if you're lucky, it may be simple. Good luck. FACE

I seem to remember the fuse located on the left side where the passenger sits. If you are looking at the radio, down and to the right a panel should pop off. Check all the fuses there, even if you don't know which is which. The inside of the panel should give a chart, too.

I just had the same problem and replaced the daytime running lamp module. Ford part # xl2z-15a272-ab. This part is located behind the drivers side head light and gotten to thru the wheel well.

The 4 pin connector should have 4 colored wires. They are: Yellow - Left Rear Stop and Turn Signal Green - Right Rear Stop and Turn Signal White - Chassis Ground Brown - Tail / License and Running Lights If you are matching a vehicle to a trailer, be sure to verify this with a test lamp or meter. Some folks make up their own rules, and the connector could be wired differently from the standard!

if you go to like best buy and tell them whats going on they will give this plug that wires into you rear speakers and it will plug into you rca jacks you have tune it so it sounds good but its only like 20 bucks so new stereo of 20 dollars im picking the 20 bucks if i strapped for cash

There are a few things that can cause tail lights to go out such as:

1. A corroded light socket

2. Blown bulb(s)

3. Tail light relay (some cars)

4. Tail light fuse

5. Faulty or touching wires

Flasher relay is located right above the OBD port.This relay has a dual functions all in one relay. It controls the emergency flashers and the turn signals as well. It's a very complex relay because it actually has a micro chip inside of it!!! That's pretty complex for a simple relay if you ask me. So turn on the signals or flashers hopefully one function still works because yes one function can be inoperative and other work fine. You should hear it clicking behind the dash a little right of the instrument cluster. You can get to it from under the dash just be careful because their are 2 relays right next to each other and the one you want is the BLUE one. NOT the black one. If you opt to do it up to the dash and radio will have to be removed to gain complete access.

Assuming the question was meant to be "Can you safelyleave things plugged into the cigarette lighter of a car if they're turned off?" - the answer is yes.

The center pin is the main signal (positive) and the outer ring is the shield, or ground, which protects the signal from interference (negative).

The starter on a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am is located on the driver's side of the motor. It is down low towards the back of the motor.

if the car has a new battery and solenoid then I would remove the starter and bench test it. if it bench tests ok then make sure it is not jammed. does the starter click? if not then it may be wires. check and make sure the little solenoid wire is connected as well.

REMOVE FUSE COVER ASHTRAY AND LITER AND THEN REMOVE TWO SCREWS ONE THE TOP OF THE PANEL HOUSEING AND TWO SCREWS ON THE UNDERNEATH INSIDE IF THE ASH TRAY AND IF INSPECTED FROM UNDERNEATH PRESS BACK THE TABS AND STEREO IS OUT

to add to previous answer after removing the top fuse panel and removing screws you have to remove the cup holder and there should be a couple of extra screws. the cup holder is a pain to remove but with a little persistence it can be done.

Pop off fuse cover. Remove two outer screws: these are the top two of four screws holding the top of the wrapping middle front fascia on, to which the radio assembly is attached. Next remove the little drawer, cigarrette lighter, and ashtray. Next, some models have a cupholder and others have simply a fascia where the cupholder *should* be. The fascia can be removed by pulling straight outwards with some force (careful not to damage your interior surfaces). Then remove the two screws on either side of the cupholder/fascia. After that is removed you finally have access to the two lower screws holding the bottom of the wrapping middle front fascia on (these are just behind and above the screws for the cupholder/fascia). Once these are loose and the two plastic clips nearby are squished inwards the whole wrap-around fascia + radio assembly can be removed together. Careful on the edges as the channels for the vents come with this part & these vehicles are now old enough that the foam/glue surrounding these vents can easily tear/break off.

The 1996 Acura oxygen sensor can be found on the top of the engine. The oxygen sensor will be on the left-hand side of the air cleaner.

Look in the owner's manual or in a repair manual. If you don't have them, buy both. You'll be glad you did.

A fusable link is exactly like the old fashioned household fuse. You make a fusabling link by cutting the wire and inserting a small length of wire 2 wire sizes smaller (I believe its two, don't quote me.) So if the wire is 12 gauge, put in a small length of 14 gauge. (A 14 gauge wire is small than 12 gauge) Make sure you use stranded insulated wire that is meant for cars and that you use the mechanical connectors with insulation built onto them (usually blue) that you attach to the wire by using a crimping tool. I think the length of the fuse should be about 1 inch to about 1.5 inches. Wrap it with plenty of black electrician's tape. If the fuse does burn out (which you want it to if there is too much current going through the wire) the black tape will protect the wire from shorting out to the body of the car, which cause you real problems.

Take off the dash pad, pull the gauge cluster and change the bulbs.

Dimmer Control knob, Pull out and check wires there. If power to wires check resistance on back of dimmer control. Mine went to infinate. Loosened nut on front and pushed rod / stud back in, checked again and had some resistance. reassembled placing nut on less tight. Works like new. Will be buying a replacement unit but I now can wait until I have time to get there.

would highly recommend a trip to your local parts store, they have manuals that are model specific and have a wealth of info in them

1 remove passenger side headlight assembly. Remove the black plastic protector over the headlight assembly. Next remove the headlight assembly. This is done by lifting up on the left and right side retaining clips at the back of the headlight assembly. Black spring steel clips. They may be rusted and a little WD40 can help.

2 once the clips are lifted, the headlight assembly can be pulled forward. Now you can see the 2 retaining screws on the side marker light lens. Remove these and pull the marker assembly forward. Pull straight out, there is a retaining pin that need to come straight out. Now you can turn the light holder a quarter turn counter clockwise and replace the bulb.

well if it is the Bose speakers which have an amplifier and it probably is than you need to buy not only the wiring harness but a 40$ cord from circuitcity they know what one and get the 17ft long one plug that into your radio and run the cord back to the amplifier which i still have not had time to look for i just found this out today because i am installing a aftermarket radio myself

Without knowing the make and year it's impossible to speculate. Could be a low battery not spinning it over fast enough, a bad ECM, a broken distributor, a failed ignition coil or any number of other things -.

Mitsubishi Montero Bulb Troubleshooting (check in this order):

· Check Fuses

· Check Bulbs

· Check Relay(s)

· Check Light Switch(es)

· Check license plate light bulb and wiring

· Check trailer hitch wiring harness

· Check all wiring harnesses and wire

Most likely its the fuse or a burnt bulb breaking the circuit. Sometimes the license plate and/or the trailer hitch is wired into other circuits and can cause issues in other areas. Sometimes its wires grounding out somewhere on the vehicle. See sources and related links below for bulb information. The 96'-98' vortec 350 has 8 fuel injectors that are contained inside the intake manifold. the vortec uses whats called csfi which is called central sequential fuel injection it has 8 electronic fuel injectors and 8 mechanical ones thesa are the ones that deliver the fuel.

garmin gps is the best by far! you can find all sorts of accesories and software for them anywhere that gps are sold. also they are the easiest gps unit to use!
