Vauxhall astra 1.7cdti manual will not start?
Your engine might be the source of the problem, rather than the battery. However, only a mechanic could tell you for sure.
What causes your 1997 Eddie Bauer Explorer not to crank?
What causes it not to crank? First thing to look at is the battery. Have it tested to see if it is working as it should. Most times, if its not cranking at all, its the battery.
Why does 1990 dodge dynasty click when turning the key?
I assume it is not starting? You turn the key and it goes click click click. You have a dead battery.
check fuel pump relay or pump itself. You should hear the pump prime when you first turn the key forward, it is normally a high pitch whine-type sound for a second or two.... If you can't hear it, you have to check the relay or pump
try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to reset the alarm.
Yes, most likely its the starter if the battery is fully charged and it still wont crank. When you turn the key, you should hear a click. That click is the starter engaging. No click, means the starter is no good.
Yes it is common the same as the distributor rotor burning through.
What might be the problem car won't start when hot but after cooling for a while starts fine?
Vapor Lock.
If it were the ignition switch, the vehicle would not start even with a jump. The battery is either not holding a charge or the alternator is not providing the charge to the battery. You can have the battery and the alternator checked (usually free of charge) at an auto parts store,
Where is the engine control computer on a 1989 Chevy Celebrity?
Under the right side of dash behind panel between pass dorr and firewall
Typically, failur to idle down on computer controlled engine is an indication that the computer doesn't know the engine has warmed up. I would start by checking the temperature sensor on the block. On the 460 it's near the top radiator hone on the intake. Note that for some years, there are 2 sensors, the other is for the dash guage. Starting problems when warmed up are also typical for a failed temp sensor, the computer is setting the fuel mixture rich because it thinks the engine is cold, the engine won't start well with rich fuel when it's already warm. After that..look for vacuum leaks..
I'm just now learning about spark plugs, but I read that the ignition system may not recognize the voltage used in the iridium plugs. They require less voltage than platinum to start the engine. The iridiums have a smaller tip, requiring less voltage. The ignition system just doesn't recognize the voltage probably.
You need to change the K134 Multifunction Relay module: I found the Multifunction Module under the IP. It is factory part number 90494163 and is around $85 plus tax at the dealer.

It happened to my 2002 nissan sentra but once it starts it runs fine and restarts fine. I filled up my gas tank with 91 octane and poured one lucas injector cleaner (ran my car in freeway) and changed my engine coolant temperature sensor. These two things worked for me. My car is starting fine for about three weeks now.
It's the same for most cars. W/O the tank heater oil is thick so it takes more to turn the engine. When it's fairly cold gas doesn't vaporize as well, so may take more turns to start. Also, tank heater is bound to increase underhood temp and batteries are very sensitive to heat and cold.
At temps lower than freezing, you'll likely save money by plugging in with a timer to kick it off a couple hours before first use. Drive away with 70 degree coolant temps, choke faster to go off, less pollution and soon to get heat out of the heater.
But! all in....... you may well be ready for a new battery.
What are the side effects if the map sensor is bad?
The computer can deliver the wrong amount of fuel resulting in poor performance, wasted fuel or valve damage, and that's IF it even runs at all.
There are many reasons your check engine light could come on. If your motor died while driving you should check the rank shaft sensor module, alternator and catalytic converter.
1995 jaguar xj6 won't start engine shakes smell of fuel?
ignition coils possibly out in more than one cylinder car will try to start but sparkplugs will not ignite fuel. Go to any auto parts store and buy a code reader. More than likely your car has already stored some codes in it's memory. This tool will save you hundreds of dollars in the long run if you expect to keep your jag and can do some of the work yourself. The car must be running in order to get any codes so hopefully it already stored them. I'm talking from experience. It's the best investment I ever had. It my very well tell you whats wrong. Hope this helped Bud Sisto. P.S. If you need replacement coils check out Ebay first as the retail coils are $175 at their cheapest, but I found three used ones for $90 and they work just fine. they are for sale there quite often.
98 Nissan Micra won't start when cold on a slope?
If the choke not work properly then your car wont start in cold weather or morning times. The other reason might be the fuel section is dirty and need some service.

My Mercedes E320 is not starting ...lights work but won't turn over....what's happening?
You could have a problem will the battery or something with the ignition. Try leaving the vehicle off for a bit and trying again later.
What are symptoms of neutral safety on a 1987 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL?
The symptoms of neutral safety, on your 1987 Mercedes-Benz, will begin with the vehicle not shifting properly. Another symptom is the vehicle ignition switch not turning to the off position.
Dear Sir, The black/blue wire of the ignition key comes from the glow plug relay. It passes through the central electric box through a link. This link replaces the automatic transmission inhibitor relay for manual gearbox models. Also, at the output of the central electric box, this black/blue wire (which goes to the glow plug relay) is connected directly to a black/red wire which feeds the solenoid of the starter motor. The black/blue wire at the ignition key is connected to the third position of the switch. When you turn the key to this position (which should spring back to position 2) you are connecting the black/blue wire with the red supply wire. This red supply wire comes directly from the battery through fuse B which is located near the battery. This red wire might also pass through the central electric box. Hope you'll find this information useful.
How do you tell if the starter is bad?
Most good auto parts stores will test them for you if you bring them in. Most of the time it's the "starter drive" that is bad and not the whole starter. The drive is a very inexpensive part but you need some ability to install it. If you're going for a new starter, get a "rebuilt" one. Same quality and alot cheaper.
