u need dealership electronic tool to see what's going on and then they clear the codes. check with dealership.

usaully its one of the four sensors. mines always go out right before the smog check. fairly easy to replace.

The code is thrown when the exhaust system oxygen sensor does not see a stream of oxygen rich fresh air. I had the same problem and reduced the answer to a secondary air injection shutoff valve. There are two valves that are vacuum actuated, one for each manifold pipe. One valve is located on the drivers side at the front of the engine and the other valve is located on the rear passenger side near the firewall. You will have to remove the radiator surge tank to access this one. Start with the easy front one and remove the vacuum hose from the nipple. Take a spare piece of vacuum hose and attach. Using your mouth to apply vacuum and place your tongue on the end of the hose to maintain vacuum. If vacuum cannot be held then it is a diaphragm leak and cannot be fixed. If this works, do the same to the rear valve. Unfortunately this was my failed valve. This valve corresponds with the right side and is part number AC Delco 214-2114. It comes with the convoluted pipe that connects to the exhaust system but I removed it and used the existing in place pipe as it was near impossible for me to access the fasteners. If this is your problem, then compare the price at AC-Direct through Amazon. This is where I purchased my part.

This may be a series of things that may coause this, 1st you may want test for faulty oil presure sensor 2nd of all you may have a faulty oil pump. hope this will help you.

the light should reset on its own, after all the faults are repaired..but everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and a professional shop manual should be available at the library in the reference section--you can make copies of the necessary information...good luck :)
