This may be a series of things that may coause this, 1st you may want test for faulty oil presure sensor 2nd of all you may have a faulty oil pump. hope this will help you.

Could you be pregnant maybe? Perhaps that is where you carry your weight the most. I have gained 10-15 pounds in the last 2 years and I can really only tell in my stomach and breasts. absolutely nothing it seems, the light can be a finicky thing, check your ias (the wire connected to your air hose) that's a usual suspect

Depending on the year, use either an OBD1 or OBD2 code scanner. You can borrow, rent or buy a code scanner from most auto parts retailers.

With my Forenza , Sometimes when backing the check engine light will come on and stay on ,and the car runs rough as it is low on power . After Turing it on and off a few times , the check engine light will turn off and the car will run normal . What's the cause of this .

I just had the same issue. Cost me $40.00 to find out my gas cap wasnt clicked all the way. He also said that after the error arises, simply closing the gas until it clicked may not have removed the error code from the computer. Not sure how, but you might have to reset the computer, maybe just pull the battery? Sean

That is a wide open question. I take it someone told you this was the code stored in your car's computer and your MIL or Check Engine light is on. This code means that, for some reason, the vent solenoid (located under the car near or on the emissions canister) is not working when it should. It could be a bad solenoid, the wiring to it, or even a problem with the computer itself. To avoid throwing money at it by changing parts that may not be bad, have a qualified tech check it out. No. ] it most certainly can cause the check engine light to come on. Not per say as it being a bad starter but if the wire connections r dirty or the connection aint connected good. exspesally on a manual trans.

I beg to disagree. I have never seen a bad starter set a check engine light. Not once.

You have to fix the reason the light came on in the first place before you reset the check engine light. Your local auto parts store can help you with the first step of reading the code(s). There are pages and pages and items that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked for codes with a scan tool. After repair light can be shut off with scan tool.
