This is actually a somewhat common problem with older RAV's. the clock usually just wears out over time, but the auto-gear-selector lighting is usually due to a loose connection under the panel, which can be easilly fixed by getting to it and fixing the connection. hope that helped. http://www.rav4world.com

I had this problem and it drove me nuts. Replaced coils, plugs. wires, fuel filter etc. Ended up taking truck to a good independent mechanic and he wiped the programing of the computer and started fresh with new programing. Haven't had a problem since. Never felt a misfire to begin with.

P0328 refers to a knock sensor signal - too high. Will show with irregular RPM and drive issues incl possible loss of power. The knock sensor detects engine vibrations and will generate a voltage - outside the specified voltage range will raise a fault.

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

This is weird but it usually works... Press each button once, then unplug it from the wall, let the cord cool, and insert it back into the wall.

Press the trip/odometer button until the language option comes up, while holding in the button turn it clockwise until the language you want comes up then release.

with a diagnostic scanner for obd 11 - you could also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

Simply turn on the ignition but do not attempt to start the engine. If the light bulb is good you will see the Check Engine light illuminate and stay on. If you do not see the Check Engine light, the bulb is defective or has been removed.
