Where is the flasher on a 2001 blazer?

I just had to replace mine yesterday, it took me forever to find it.

The flasher is located underneath the dash, behind the glove department on the passenger side.

You'll have to remove the piece of the dash under the glove department, then remove the glove department itself by taking out the screws on it's hinges in order to gain access to the flasher.

How do you get your keys out of the ignition if they are stuck?

Try to put it in nutral and shift back into park again. Make sure your steering wheel is in the straight position. Sometimes the wheel will lock if it is turned. Hope this helps.

Sometimes the locking tab that holds the little button you press on the shifter breaks and doesn't allow the electrical system to see that the car is in park which

will not let you remove the key or start the car.

Pull the plastic button out just a bit or all the way off if it's broken, and that will engage the park signal and get you on your way. Ford won't take this as a safety recall. Been there before.

Why do you get speed wobbles on a skateboard?

because the faster u go the more sensitive the board is to steering & once u put it out of balance even the slightest it will jump that way so ur body compensates for this by switching direction & back and forth u go

the only way to stop it is push out with ur legs like a jumping jack but ur feet wont move, its just to stabilize the board

Why would a 2000 Blazer have no brake lights if the bulbs and fuses have been replaced?

Possibly the brake light switch. not sure where it is located tho. maybe under the dash attached to the brake pedal lever. it may have a spring loaded button on it so that as soon as you push the brake lever the least bit the button comes out allowing the switch inside to connect. this switch malfunction usually causes the brake lights to stay ON tho.hope this is the problem.

Have you considered the relay? I believe the brake lights are engaged via relay on the 2000 Blazer. Check your hazard lights and your third brake light.

I am the previous anonymous. I have done some research and discovered that your vehicle has actually been recalled because of this very problem! Check the NHTSA's website or contact your local Chevrolet service center to set up an appointment for free service on the recalled part (actually a multifunction switch which also relates to your hazard lamps). The recall Campaign ID is 01V364000. The Part Number is 506377. .

check your hazard switch. despite what most dealerships say, you can replace just the hazard/4-way switch which is much, much cheaper than the entire turn signal assembly they try to sell you. that fixed my brake light problem

----------

brake lights are wired through the turn signal switch. the switch is needed to interrupt power to the brake light that needs to blink for turn signal useage., also to allow the lights to blink when flashers are used.

turn signal switch failure is usually the cause of no brake lights. replace the switch assembly. if the third brake light always works then it is the turn sig switch assembly that is causing the issue with the brake lights not working.

How do you change thermostat on 1997 blazer?

you follow the top radiator hose to where it goes to head or intake and remove it and remove the neck it was on the thermostat is under there and replace it with a new gasget and a little rtv to make sure it dont leak hope it works 4 you it is a simple job just take your time

Could the thermostat cause a 1996 Chevy blazer blow cold air and over heat?

My 1997 Chev Blazer actually just did the same thing 12/9 and on 12/10 the service engine soon light came on. I went to Auto Zone. The ran a check on it and sold me a Temperature Sensor Part # SU109 which cost me about $9.50. I haven't put it on yet because I'm not sure where it goes. !

I Have a 1998 Chevy S-10 Blazer and the Temperature Sensor goes on next to the right valve cover, just follow your heater hoses from the heater core and you will see.

Sure could!!! water stays in engine gets too hot when thermostat sticks shut and doesn't allow hot water to circ. through heater core.... no heat!!

Absolutely, I just had to replace mine as well...if it gets stuck closed it's best to repair it asap because that can do major damage to your engine via overheating. If you need help on how to install it check out the video tutorials by Expert Village here: http://www.ehow.com/video_2327363_diagnose-car-thermostat-symptoms.html -The gentleman in the video is working on a 91 Ford Explorer but you should be able to get the just of it as he explains what you may see on other models as well. !

How do you repair or replace power mirror switch on 2002 blazer?

take the screws out of the door hanle to separate the inside door molding from the body then just pull he door molding off from multiple locations in a pattern around it.

How do you adjust the driver side door on a 2001 Chevy Blazer to close tighter to the moulding so air will not be heard?

if you're having a gap between your door and frame, check your hinges to see if the bushings or pins are wearing out. this is pretty common with Chevy s-10s and blazers. go to your local body shop and it'll cost you approx $25 to fix (you have to replace the pins and bushings and this problem should be solved). or if you have a few friends who are willing to hold the door up for you while you replace them stop into your local parts store and pick 2 sets up, 1 for the top hinge and 1 for the bottom hinge. on my dad's sonoma his pin actually has fallen out from and the door pretty much will fall off one of these days. on my s-10 the top pins bushings are worn out and it tilts a bit. i talked to a friend who works at a gmc garage and he said if you don't take care of it, eventually it will bend your door frame so that it won't fit properly even if you decide to fix it. !

When the check light is on why would the overdrive light come on and blink?

Have your TRS (transmission range sensor) checked out. I had the same problem. Took it to a mechanic where he diagnosed everything and then changed out the sensor = $150.24 (sensor was $51.99, rest was diagnisis & labor.

What is this slight humming noise we can hear when driving the Aerostar?

Depends on whether you can hear the sound with it parked and running or you have to be driving down the road. Need more information. Aerostars hum when just running due to noisy power steering (normal) or the fuel pump (normal). If the noise increases when you turn the steering wheel right or left then its the power steering. Added: 27th,Mar.'08.

I have owned 3 Aerostars so far & this sounds familiar. My 2 previous Aerostars had a diff. problem where they hummed under load. The last one was so loud that when we were on the highway, I would have to take my foot off the gas pedal to hear my kids talking to me from the back seats. I have avoided that problem so far on my latest one by replacing the diff. oil with synthetic gear oil. I bought this one ('97) with 148,000 Kms. & it now has over 330,000 Kms. & no hum from the rear end so far.

How do you change ignition cylinder blazer?

Hello. I just had to replace my turn signal and ignition switches on my 1997 Blazer. Part of the process was to remove the ignition cylinder. You will have to remove the lower steering column cover and then remove the two screws that secure the top cover in place. You will have toget the inverted Torx sockets to get the screws out. I bought a kit at Shucks(Kragen/Checker) for about $16.00. YOu will now be able to lift the top cover out of the way and get to a small hole on the top of the cylinder housing. Insert a small Allen wrench into the hole, and turn the key to the run position, the lock cylinder should come right out. Hope this helps.
