9. Press 139010 or 106010 or 206010 or 202107 then # (pound). You will be asked to enter your four or six digit code followed by *
10. Enter the number from STEP 6 then *
11. Listen to the four-digit number and write it down. It will be repeated twice
12. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)
13. Use the MN and HR buttons to enter the code from STEP 11
14. Press the AM/FM button. The radio display changes to "SEC". Your radio is now "un-locked" and usable.

unless the ignition itesl has been replaced since it left the plant 10 yrs ago, the orignal key has probably worn too thin to contact the tumblers anymore. you could either replace the whole ignition column or better yet, hit a car dealer and get them to cut you a new set of keys from a copy they have on file. nothin to it.

The cause could be a combination of worn key and ignition cylinder. First have a new key made, if that doesn't resolve the problem, then concider replacing the cylinder itself. Contrary to the above answer, it costs a bit more than "4 bucks" however the expertise comes when you begin to disassemble the steering column. The steering wheel must first be removed, then the turn signal cancelling cam along with moving the wiring harness. A special tool is required to compress the retaining spring clip assembly, then the key cylinder may be removed, using caution to note the position of the rack and gear train. It can be performed at home, but only if you're mechanically inclined.
This is the 1st indicator that the POWER LOCK Motor is about top go out. If it is grinding on open & close then more than likely the teeth are grinding down on the gears. Replacing A.S.A.P. will eliminate the possibility of the Driver being locked out by remote and reling on the key to unlock for entry.

If you decide to not use a synthetic oil, I'd stay with any of the Pennsylvania grade motor oils. Also, look for the engineering seals on the label. For use in an older engine, select an oil VISCOSITY that does not allow the oil pressure light to come on or the oil pressure gauge to drop too low. You can go with a slightly thinner (lower VIS) oil during the winter to help with starting. I'd start with a summer: 20 W 40, Winter, 10 W 30. If that is too thin for your engine, go up a little in the numbers. If oil pressure is low, try Kendall brand oil. It tends to increase your oil pressure.

Open your driver's door and look at the side of the dash (around the corner from the far left dash vent) there's a pull-out panel and behind are fuses. On the inside of the removeable panel is the fuse layout. Mine is marked #19 Rdo Bat and is the bottom far left fuse. Hope this helps. Ps. to remove the starter on the 4.3 Blazer, remove all the bolts EXCEPT THE UPPERMOST ONE on the driver's side, on the flywheel housing. this will allow you to slide the housing about 1/2" - 3/4" back, and the starter will drop free. then it's a few twist and jiggling so you can get to the lugs that hold the wiring in place.
it's easier to get the starter bolts back in if you put the housing back to where it will keep the starter from dropping.
