How do you bleed the ABS brake system on a 1993 Chevrolet Corsica?
Here check out this link http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/14/98/61/0900823d80149861/repairInfoPages.htm It offers a step by step on how to do it
You have the classic symptoms of a bad coil pack! Have been thru this about 6 times in the last 8 years. Check them. Could also not hurt to check fuel pressure/fuel filter
How is the performance of the 1991 Chevrolet Corsica V6 multiplet?
I'm assuming "multiplet" is Multi=Port-Fuel-Injection, yes?
Performance is pretty good. Fairly powerful engine in a very light car. Reasonably good power train. Very peppy, good scat from red lights, and more than ample power for passing and accelerating up short interstate entrance ramps.
I'm told you can get power chips for the ECM to improve performance, however this may affect the emissions on the car, causing it to fail state emissions inspections, if you're "lucky" enough to live in such a place, but my biggest objection is that one of the Corsica's few faults is marginal brakes, and as such is not a good candidate for performance upgrades.
ABS is going out I have the same problem right now. lol.
Do you have a diagram of where the blower motor is under the hood of a Chevy Corsica?
On my 92 corsica the blower motor is located in the air box on the inside of the engine compartment. Passenger side fire wall.
Answerthe blower motor is under the hood, passenger side, up high behind the alternator in the firewall.*remember to disconnect the ground first from the battery before doing anything.
i am changing this today on my '92 corsica. unfortunately, after loosening it and trying to take it out i learned that the alternator will have to be removed first (***on a v-6 motor) as there is not enough clearance. 4 cylinders models this isn't necessary.
in these particular cars the alternator has no range of motion as the belt tensioner is separate so it will need to be removed first.
you can undo the three different screws that hold it in and just set it on the intake manifold if you want w/o undoing the wires from it if you want.
Where is the water pump located on a 1989 Chevrolet Corsica V6?
The water pump is located behind the water pump pulley. The water pump pulley is the smooth pulley at the top closest to the front of the car. It is held in place by 4 bolts with 8mm heads. The pump is held in place with 5 bolts. Warm the engine to operating temperature before removing the bolts or they may break off causing you greif.
How do you replace a broken trunk lock on a 1995 Chevy Corsica when the trunk is closed?
When I saw this question, being so specific with make and model year, I thought it was strange. I also have a 1995 Chevrolet Corsica. 3 days ago my wife went to open the trunk with the key and the key simply would not turn. I tried using WD40 but could not get it to turn. I finally had to lift up on the outside of the rear seat inside the vehicle and climb through the opening behind the rear seat. I had to bend forward the corner of the seat enough to get through. Once I did this I just had to turn the latch counterclockwise with a screwdriver to get it to open. I did not realize this at first, so I simply removed the two 7/32" hex head screws that hold on the latching mechanism. This got the trunk open. I haven't had time yet to figure out how to replace the actual trunk lock.
I'd like to add to this question that we had a broken lock on a 1995 Chevy Corsica as well. The outside lock was removed (not sure if it was intentional or accidental). In order to get in the trunk we can use an opened (unfolded) nail clipper and insert the single flat edge into the small hole that's in the center of the lock. (Peer in to get a good view.) You turn the nail clipper (I believe clockwise) and the trunk pops open easily. (I suppose you could use a small flat head or small pocket knife as well - but we've always had fast, quick access with a nail clipper.) The downside is that anyone who knows how to open a trunk this way can access your trunk.
Why is the antifreeze leaking out in a 1994 Corsica?
First where is it leaking or do you know? just to the right and under the fill "tank".
I just replaced the valve cover gaskets on a 93 Corsica with the 3.1 V6 engine. The front valve cover was not to bad since it is easily accessible. The rear valve cover took quite a bit more work. Here are the steps that I followed.
Bear in mind that this was the first time I had attempted this and I did not have a service manual. This may not be the technically correct way to replace the rear valve cover.
1. Unbolt the alternator and move it aside. ( I was able to lay it on the front of the engine to keep it out of the way.
2. Unbolt and remove the upper engine mount from the engine and the body. (the upper mount is the alumium piece that connects the upper front of the engine to the passenger side inner fender wall.)
3. "Roll" the engine forward. I connected a come-a-long to the back engine lifting eye and pulled the engine forward. (I pulled against the sturdy bench in my garage).
4. Mark and disconnect the throttle, cruise, and transmission kick-down linkages from the upper rear of the intake manifold.
5. Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum line.
6. Mark anc disconnect the vacuum lines to the bracket at the back of the intake. I am not sure what it is called. It is a plastic module mounted to metal bracket that retains the throttle, cruise, and transmission kick down linkage cables. BE CAREFULL with the vacuum lines. The hard plastic lines on this 93 were brittle and I broke two of them. I had to unbolt the intake manifold and splice the plastic hard lines back together using 5/32" vacuum line.
7. Remove the bracket that holds the throttle, cruise, and transmission kick down linkages.
8. Mark and remove the rear spark plug wires. While the spark plugs are accessible, I would change the plugs and wires.
9. Remove the alternator braket and the front engine lift eye (Both are attached with the same bolts)
10. Disconnect the power steering return line.
11. Now it should be possible to loosen the four bolts that hold the valve cover on.
Reverse procedure to reassemble.
Where is the PVC valve on a '92 Chevy Corsica?
IF IT'S A 3.1 ENGINE IT'S LOCATED ON THE BACK, FACING THE FIREWAL, VALVE COVER. SLIGHTLY UNDER THE INTAKE PLENIUM.
How do you replace the bright dimmer switch on a 1993 Chevy Corsica?
Hi to whoever posted this question!
Now Im not sure if the '93 is just like the '94, however, the dimmer switch on the '94 Corsica is located on the lower end of the steering column, under the lower half of the center support bracket. There is a rod the works it that is attached to the turn signal/dimmer switch lever. Heres how to replace the '94 model's dimmer.
1) Disconnect the battery. 2) Tilt the wheel up (if its a tilt model). Move the seat back, then remove the upper and lower dash panels to reveal the entire steering column. 3) The dimmer is a white plastic switch with a two hole metal mounting bracket. Its located on the lower end of the steering column, under the lower half of the center support bracket. 4) Disconnect the wire harness to the dimmer by pressing in on the two retaining clips (plastic) on each side of the harness connector. Gently pull the connector out. 5) Loosen the two 2" bolts (silver) that hold the center support bracket to the dashboard but don't remove them all the way. This should give clearance to work. 6) The dimmer's bottom-most (toward firewall) mounting bolt is actually a small stud with a 3/8" nut. The top-most bolt is a 5/16" cap screw. Remove both. Remove the old dimmer. 7) The new dimmer will have a "retaining clip" to hold the switch in a neutral position during shipping. Remove it. 8) Hook the new dimmer assy on the stud and align the upper bolt in the hole, then attach the lower nut. 9) The bracket holes are slotted and you need to align the rod in the hole of the switch, then slide the switch up toward the steering wheel to remove all the slack in the rod. Tighten both bolts. 10) Reconnect the wire harness and then the battery cables. TEST the dimmer function before you button the dash up! You may have to adjust the slack slightly. 11) Replace the dash panels. Pat yourself on the back.

or you could just pull it out and sav e bunch of effort and time
Call the parts store. They will be able to tell you if the pulley is available separately or not.
Can you put a transmission from a 1992 Chevy Corsica into a 1995 Chevy Beretta?
Only the 5-speeds. You can't swap automatics without running into problems, and you can't swap an automatic for a 5-speed without modifying (and it will still throw an engine code afterward). A 1992 Corsica had a 3T40 automatic, and the 1995 Beretta had a 4T60E automatic. Your best bet is to swap in another 4T60E. It came in a lot of GM vehicles. Go to car-part.com and enter "1995 Chevy Beretta automatic transmission" in the search for a list compatible transmissions and prices in your area.
The tools needed are a big crescent wrench. There is a belt tensioner on the side (a wheel not connected to any thing.) Put the wrench on the tensioner and lift up. Slide the belt on.
AnswerBe aware that in order to replace the belt, you will need to remove the passenger side engine support bracket, meaning that the engine will be largely free of the body. Ideally, the passenger side of the engine should be supported with a hoist attached to the lifting eye on that side of the block before the bracket is removed, but a pair of jacks underneath the engine can work in a pinch. When the bracket is removed, the engine will want to roll backwards under the weight of the transmission, so be sure to place a jack as far back as possible. The bracket in question is T-shaped, two bolts on the top of the "T" connect to the engine, two bolts on the long portion connect to a shock absorbing mount on the body. Once the engine is supported and the bracket is removed, you can replace the belt as described above. How do you remove the ignition out of a 95' Chevy Corsica?
YOU MUST HAVE KEY disconnect battery turn key to run possition remove steering wheel remove turn signal cam the screw and signal arm remove hazard light button remove turn signal switch to gain access to ignition retaining screw remove lock cylinder retaining screw remove ignition lock by sliding it out NO KEY drill a 1/4" hole into ignition insert a screw into the hole attach a slide hammer to the screw slide the weight on the slide hammer toward the ignition with force quickly slide the weight on th slide hammer away from the ignition to rip out the ignition switch this will permanently destroy the switch it will need to be replaced this method might also cause minor cosmetic damage
Timing chain cover gasket on a 96 Ford Wind star?
Carefully remove all the old gasket material, fit the new gasket, and reverse the above. Good luck!
Edit: Hi, I'm just gonna touch on a few notes here. First off, this is not a job for a "think i can do it" do it yoursefler. It requires a few special tools. 1: power steering pulley press tools. it is a press on pulley. 2: crank shaft pulley press tool, 3: (optional) stud extractor set with 1/4 stud extractor, this makes getting the timing chain cover off with very little to no lifting of the engine (note: you will need to remove nut from front pass motor mount to frame and lift motor up to remove water pump, IT WILL NOT CLEAR UNLESS IT IS LIFTED 3") Normal tools are as follows. 1: 1/2" drive socket set range from 13mm-21mm, 3", 6", 12", 1/2" drive extensions, some of which you may not use. 1/4" drive socket set range from 4.5mm-13mm, one 3" extension. set of 6 point box end wrenches range from 8mm-15mm, pair of pliers, dead blow or normal hammer, rubber mallet, few pry bars, penetrating oil, and alot of patience...
Also Note: water pump may hang/ stick to timing cover studs. DO NOT PRY HARD. pay attention and see if pump tries to slide off the studs. you will clearly see the stud that are making it stay on. at this point is were you would use the stud extractor set. be very careful not to break the stud off in the engine block. this will also free the pump from stud and remove pump. same note with timing chain cover. if stud making cover stick find the troublesome stud and remove it. i would remove all studs if the first two came out easily. i know the studs will not come completely out so just let them chill in the timing cover for now till its time to remove it. if i have left anything out please feel free to update further.

Where are the oxygen sensors located on a 1996 Chevy Corsica?
They are screwed into the exhaust system.
Why is it bad to give type AB to type A?
The blood AB has A and also B antigens while the A blood only has A. When AB blood is given to the person with A blood type, the body will recognize it as a foreign blood and will destroy the blood. The recipient will then die.
Why would a 1995 ford Corsica starts but stalls when you put it in gear?
Because its a Chevy corsica not a ford corsica!!!!!
How do you fix O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 2 on a 96 Chevy corsica?
If you have an oxygen sensor problem then there should be a check engine light "on." Have a repair shop scan and diagnosis the problem. You may not truly have a problem with the oxygen sensor as it could be a vacuum leak that makes the o2 sensor set a code.
How do you replace the water pump on a 1996 Chevy Corsica 6 cylinder?
I just replaced my water pump on my 1994 Corsica. Not sure if it is the same as a 1996, but maybe this will help. Standing at the front of your car with the hood up, to the left is the serpentine belt. The "pulley" at the very top (the belt runs under it) was my water pump. It had 4 screws on the face of it. I used a screwdriver to keep the "pulley" from turning while i loosened and took off the screws. I then pulled the facing off and I think there were 5 screws holding the pump in. I took those out, and the pump came right out. Remember to clean the old gasket off before replacing new gasket and pump. I hope that helps.
