How much horse power does a 1984 Chevy Corvette have?
Unfortunately late seventies and early eighties were bad years for performance Corvettes. The SMOG police (Federal Government) were forcing American Manufacturers to kill performance with emision control standards, which were required before American Manufacturers were ready to cope with new engine designs.
The Stock 1984 C4 Corvette had a L98 engine which produced 250 HP. It wasn't until 1992, that Chevy introduced the LT1 350, which had 330 HP.
In 1990, GM also released the ZR-1 Corvette, with the LT5 engine and this one was a good performer. It had 32 values 4 overhead cams (2 on each side) and produced 375 HP. In 1993, Chevy changed the cylinder heads on the LT5 which netted in 405 HP.
The L98's exhaust system robbed a lot of the power from the 350 CI motors. Changing the L98 Vette's exhaust to headers will greatly increase the power. Add a new High Flow manifold and worked heads and you can get 330 HP relatively easy. Add a good cam and you should be able to make somewhere around 350 HP at the crank. Rear Wheel HP around 300 HP.
If you really want to get aggressive, swap the L98 for a LS1-LS6 motor. That will give you around 370-440 HP with new exhaust. I would not spend a whole lot on the L98 Motor. However, try header and something like Magnaflow mufflers first if you are on a budget. That is the most economical way to get 25% more HP from the L98. The stock exhaust ruined this motors HP. Torque specs were pretty good on these motors as the heads and intakes were tuned for torque, not HP.

Does the 1974 454 motor have a catalytic converter?
Only if it was sold in California. In 1974 all California cars had catalytic converters. In 1975, the rest of the country followed suit. If you've got the build sheet, you should be able to easily determine which dealership sold the car new and then you'll know if it should have a cat.
Where is the fuel pump for a 1975 Corvette?
Easy one. It's a mechanical pump located on the right (passenger) side of the engine close to the bottom. There will be at least two metal lines coming from it. If you replace it, be sure to put a little heavy grease on the shaft inside the motor to keep it from sliding down. If it slides down and you tighten on the pump on it, it will break. Done that myself. It's an easy job.

Where is the air conditioning drain on 1997 jetta?
The drain on the 97 Jetta is not accessible from under the dashboard, as I discovered after removing enough panels to expose the whole arrangement. There is a stamped metal tube that extends from the condenser unit forward through the firewall and the only access to the end of this tube is directly behind the engine in the engine compartment itself. Behind the engine you will see a foil insulation panel glued against the firewall with a couple of horseshoe shaped break-outs. Pry the the lower center break-out upwards. Do not remove it completely. Right under it you will feel a rubber flap covering the end of the tube. Unfortunately it is not visible from any working angle. You can pry the rubber flap up with your finger, but do not stick your finger into the tube. Insert a very small stick or short small screwdriver into the tube and move it in a circular motion to break up the jelly that has accumulated. The water that is in the unit will begin to flush out the jam-like plug or clog. Once you have stirred and the water is beginning to flow remove the stick while continuing to hold the rubber flap open for a good strong flush while the water lasts. Then let go of the flap. Do not force it shut but let it relax on its own. Carefully fold the foil break-out down into place, leaving a little space between it and the rubber so as not to inhibit drainage in the future.

How do you flush the coolant system in a 1969 Chevy Corvette?
Answer Obtain a prestone flush kit and a container of fast acting flush plus 2 gallons of antifreeze. You will be splicing the tee fitting in your return heater hose ( the cooler of the two hoses), draining the existing coolant, filling with straight water and flush to the radiator, running the engine for ten minutes with the heater on full then hooking up your garden hose to the adapter that comes with the kit. After you have run it the clean water thru it, the radiator and engine will be nice and clean; then drain the pure water and add 50/50 antifreeze and water mix and your done. I hope this helps you. Mark
Following the above procedure, I would recommend adding the first gallon of straight antifreeze in without mixing with water because you will not have drained the engine block by simply draining the radiator. So you still have at least one gallon of clear water in the block to mix with one gallon of straight antifreeze. Add the rest with a 50/50 mix for protection down to -34 degrees F.
