You can't just move the actual "speedometer".The entire gauge cluster must be removed,to get to your gauges.To do this...there are two round holes/openings on your dash,directly above the gauge panel.Simply insert your fingers in each hole.Whichever finger is your strongest...beit your index,or middle...

Then,pull straight back toward you,'til the dash panel begins to separate from the console.Do not use to much force while doing this,as you do not want to break the clips which hold the panel in place.You may want to put your vehicle gear shift in low,for easier accessibility during this step.Next,you will have to unplug the wire harness for your head/parking/dome lights.This needs to be done in order to have full access to your gauge cluster.The wire harness is located diectly behind your headlight switch,and it's just a simple pull to unplug it.If the harness doesn't pull right out,there is a red tab which locks the harness in place.This tab may need to be unlocked to pull the harness out.Simply pull back on the red tab with a fingernail,to unlock it.It'll make a click type sound,once it's unlocked.

Next,look at your gauge cluster....there will be four screws holding the cluster in place.Simply remove the four screws,to free your gauge cluster.Once the screws are removed,grasp the cluster on each end,gently but firmly,and pull toward you.This will free your entire cluster.Now,you have your gauges in front of you.The clear plastic housing which protects your gauges can now be removed.Do this, by removing the clips which hold it in place.Be gentle if you remove the plastic housing,in order to keep from damaging it.

Simply follow these steps in the reverse order,for re-installation of your gauge cluster!

we are about to customize my dash with the same style electronic gauges that are in my firebird.. we will customize the dash with a piece of stock that is cut to fit my new round electronic gauges and they will hook right up to the original harness... good luck 2 u...

Carb? Float stuck and flooding engine Remove air cleaner and observe '92 SR5 3VZ-E's are EFI. It Could Be running rich. Check your plugs (and while you're there, clean them with a wire brush, make sure the gap is .031 and that all the wires are connected properly). If they're gummed up and smell gassy, it could be an indication that your O2 sensor is bad. That doesn''t mean it needs replacing. The O2 sensor is usually on the exhaust pipe before the muffler. Take it out and look at it. If it's black and crusty, clean it off with something like carb cleaner and compressed air. (I soaked mine in ChemDip - May not be O2 sensor safe, so I don't advise, but it worked for me). There's some good info on o2 sensors out there so search that. That should fix the problem if it's running rich. dd

Of which low pressure switch are you speaking? Engine oil pressure switch? If you're checking that, remove the oil pressure sending unit and temporarily put in an oil pressure gauge. If you're checking the AC low pressure switch, pull the switch from the AC low pressure line, Jumper the switch socket and see if the AC compressor comes on. If it does, you either have low refrigerant pressure or a bad switch. If you KNOW the pressure is up and everything else works, you have a bad switch.
