How to locate fuse for 12v power outlet on 2004 Toyota Sienna 2004?
If it is anything like the 2006 Sienna, it is probably in the fuse box under the driver's side of the console. It is difficult to see, but if you lie on the floor under the steering wheel you can see the fuse box and it is easy to pop the cover, which has a legend telling you what the fuses are.
I just changed the fuse on my 2004 Toyota Sienna. I had similar problem. The 12 volt power outlets stopped working. It was the fuse. As noted above, it is located on the driver's side of the console, under the steering wheel, to the left. You need to remove the small black cover and there is a legend underneath. Ours was a 15 amp fuse, 3rd one down, abbreviated as "power outlet." Hope this helps.
Why does Jeep Drivers side blow hot air but passenger side blows cold?
the mix doors are broken inside the A/C control box. it,s a big job to repair and will include having the ac refrigerant pumped down , the coolant drained , the dashboard removed, then you can remove the ac box to repair the door. if you never did it count on 10 hours of work after the first time probably could do it in 6.
As another option, I used "Heater Treater" on my wife's Grand Cherokee and it works great. The only down side is that you will no longer have individual climate controls for Driver/Passenger side. The temp is set by the driver's side dials. However, it's a minor inconvenience for not having to pay $1,600 to get it fixed and it only took me about 45min to do. Worth it for me.

How do you access the left side large window for removal on a 1998 Ford Windstar van?
For vans without the driver's side sliding door, begin by removing the middle row seating. Then starting behind the driver's seat and working towards the rear of the vehicle remove the side wall panels. Watch out for the "christmas trees" or plastic push in retainers behind the panels and hidden screws (screws that the upholstry has covered over) usually along the bottom of the panels just above the floor. Then it is just a matter of removing the 8-10, 10mm nuts that hold the window to the body. Window and frame are permanently bonded together and come off as one unit. While access is provided, now is a good time to clean and inspect rear a/c unit (if installed). To re-install reverse the above procedure.
What is the reset position for the wiper arm on a 2001 Chevy Venture?
There is another answer further down the search. Basically his answer was to buy a replacement cam from a GM dealer for around $85. I haven't tried it myself but plan on it.
What fuse powers locks on a 2002 Chevy Venture?
Hi,
The fuse that supplies power to the door locks is located under the hood, just above the battery. This same fuse box also has a bunch of relays that control other functions of the van.
The same fuse that supplies power to the door locks also supplies power to the lighter socket. I believe this is "big fuse" and is number 7. There should be a label on the inside of the fuse box cover that tell you what fuse it is.
If the lighter socket is working, you could have another type of problem, as the door locks are control by the Body Control Module (BCM).
I have included a link to a picture and diagram of the fuse box.
Good Luck, Greg
Disconnecting the negative cable can sometimes reset the message center light, however there is a procedure for this. Depending on the year of your venture this will vary, so to be sure the reset worked, do the following.
Key on, engine off, all doors closed...
push the gas pedal all the way to the floor briefing in succession 2 times, then do it a third time but hold the pedal down on the third pump. Keep holding until the message center flashes your maintenance light.
If there is no flashing, turn the key off, then back on, and repeat the above mentioned procedure, only this time push the pedal 3 times, then hold it on the 4th time. If still no blinking, repeat by tapping the pedal 4 times, then hold on the 5th. Finally, tap pedal 5 times, then on the 6th, hold it.
GM could not decide which pedal counts to stick with for this procedure, so that's why my instructions seem repetitive. My wife's 02 Venture is 4 presses, then the 5th is held.
Hope this helps, and no this will certainly not flood your engine since obviously it's fuel injected :)
Just dissconnect the negative battery cable and reconnect it. If the light is still on after doing this, you still have a problem.

How do you reset the air bag light?
The air bag light is on because there is a problem with the system and it is not in operation. Until the problem is fixed the light will stay on.
What causes a cracked head in your car?
there can be several reasons, however it is usually due to overheating and/or sudden cooling --- such as overheating the engine and then pouring cold water into the radiator, etc. Occasionally, the engine manufacturer may have a flaw in the head casting or too thin metal, etc that will cause it to crack too.
What causes the Low Track sensor light on a 99 Alero to stay on at all times?
Either your Traction Control is turned off or there is a problem with the system.

How do you tell if your 2003 Chev Venture has 2 or 4 wheel abs?
Hi,
Virtually all of these vans (GM Mini-vans) came with 4-wheel ABS at or after the 2001 model year.
But if you want to check, look at the inside of the wheels (both front and back) and check for a wiring connector at each wheel. These wires carry the signals from the Wheel Speed Sensor, for each wheel, back to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). You should a connector and wiring at each wheel.
Take Care, Greg
Why is my 2000 Chevy venture check engine light blinking?
When the engine is not firing on all cyclinders or has bad spark or lean or rich fuel it will cause the light to flash. Mine did this and I had a loss of power. I replaced the spark plugs and wires. It stopped the light and I got my power back as well as got more mpg.
How much gas does a 2000 Chevy Venture van hold?
My Answer:
I put 27 gallons into my 25 gallon gas tank yesterday.
Previous Answers:
bone dry, about 20 gallons
I have the 2000 LS model, it has a 25 gallon tank. High way driving will get me over 600 miles before filling up.
***It depends on the model you have. The "Extended" model (the one that's about 6 inches longer) will hold 25 gallons. The non-extended model will hold 20 gallons. How do I know this? I have removed tanks from both models of that van.***

How do you change the water pump on a 1998 Chevy Venture?
I have changed the water pump on a 1997 Cavalier which I suppose is quite similar to your Venture. Here is my recommendation:
Take it to a mechanic and have them do it, unless you feel up to a few skinned knuckles and few cuts and abrasions. If you still feel like hurting yourself, here is the short version.
Somewhere on the hood or in front of the radiator is a diagram of the routing of the serpentine belt that drives the various equipment attached to the engine, including the alternator, the air conditioning compressor, the water pump and maybe the power steering pump. To remove it, make sure you understand how to put it back on and then find the tensioner pulley. Put a wrench or socket on the nut with a fairly long handle and rotate the nut clockwise. The tensioner pulley should move releasing tension on the belt so it can be removed from around the water pump pulley.
Remove any hoses attached to the water pump if any and catch the coolant. CAUTION: Coolant is poisonous! Do not leave where pets can get to it or where children can reach it.
Find the bolts that attach the pump to the engine block. Usually 4 to six of them and some may be longer than others. Remember what hole what bolt came out of. When all of the bolts are removed, the pump may just fall loose but most likely will have to be pried loose. If it resists prying, check to see that you have ALL of the bolts removed. They are quite clever and are sometimes well hidden. It's a game!
Remove the pulley and install it on the new/rebuilt pump.
Normally some of the original gasket material will be stuck firmly to the engine block. This must be COMPLETELY removed before installing the new pump. Lots of luck!
Make sure both the new pump and the pump location on the engine block are clean and dry.
Apply a light coat of gasket sealer on the flange of the pump where the gasket will sit.
Attach the gasket to the pump and make sure the holes in the gasket line up with the holes in the pump.
Coat the outside of the gasket with another light/thin coat of gasket sealer. Recheck to see that the holes line up.
Place the pump on the engine block and install the bolts. Tighten alternately in a sort of cross pattern until they are all snug, then tighten/torque to factory recommended settings, normally around 10 to 15 foot pounds. Do NOT overtighten or you will crack the casting on the pump and it will be do-overs.
RE-stringing the serpentine belt may take two people. One person will put tension on the tensioner pulley while the other one guides the belt around all of the pulleys. It has to be exactly as the diagram shows or you will not be successful. Lots of luck.
When the belt and pulleys are all where they are supposed to be, release the tensioner pulley which will tighten the belt. If it isn't tight, you missed something.
Reattach any hoses removed, tighten clamps then refill the cooling system.
NOTE: Do NOT run your can in an enclosed space, such as a garage unless the doors are open.
Start the car and check for leaks. Lots of luck.
How do you turn the abs light off in a 2002 Venture van after it came on changing the front pads?
Hi, I had a similar problem on my 1999 Venture. I found it was the Booster that went bad. I replaced it and still have the ABS light ON. I bleed the brakes (on these anti-skid systems I bleed the brakes without power) and still had the ABS light ON. Long story longer, when the booster went bad it shorted the ABS Brake Computer ($800)underneath the drivers seat. I had to return to my duty station and had to let the GM pro's figure it out. The computer plus the labor was $1100. Thanks GM for raping me!!!
I had the same problem with my 2001 Venture except mine was caused by a broken sensor wire on the front right wheel hub. It occured right after replacing front brake pads. The sensor is not sold separatly so I had to replace the complete front wheel hub. ABS now works great!
As for the first guy, sounds like a misdiagnosis to me. Never heard of a booster shorting a computer! Anyway, i agree it sounds like you may have damaged a sensor or sensor wire while doing the brakes
Try bleeding the master cylinder pump under the hood, if it has bleed points, mine is a 99 venture and I kept bleeding there first because I wasn;t getting any fluid to the back brakes. After all that my ABS and BRAKE dash light went off.
How to change cabin air filter on 2007 Toyota Avalon?
From http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef2150b/14023: Drop the glovebox down. This involves removing the little "shock" on one side and then squeezing in the sides of the door while pulling down. The door will swing down far enough so you have access to the filter. Look for a panel or door about 2 x 8 inches and the filter is in there. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the plastic filter cover and remove the cover. Then slide out the filter.
Where is the temp sensor for the 2004 venture?
Hi,
I'm assuming you mean the coolant temperature sensor - the one that drives the temperature indicator gauge in the dash.
If that is the case, the temperature sensor is located right next to the thermostat housing. This is located on the left side of the engine (driver side), just below the throttle body.
I have included a link that shows where the thermostat housing is located, and if you look closely, you will see the wires and connector that go to the sensor.
Good Luck, Greg
