There is a little switch beside the light inside the hatch. When you open the hatch, look up at the inside back of the hatch lid, where the inside light is. The light itself has a switch to keep the light off, so that you can leave the hatch open without the light beeing on. Then, beside the light (attached to it, but off to the side), there is a small lever switch that enables /disables the interior lock / unlock switch. That's so you can give someone the valet key when they are working on the car, or just parking it. The valet key won't open the glove box or the hatch. It's a security feature.

Hi,

If you are referring to the Coolant Temperature Sensor, it is located just in front of the Thermostat Housing - on the driver side of the engine. It can be tough to spot, but I have a picture of its location (see attached link). The picture actually has an arrow pointing to the Bleed Screw, but just to the left of that you will see the CONNECTOR at the top of the sensor. That is the proper location.

Basically you can follow the top coolant hose from the radiator back to the engine and you will find it.

The ABS is notorious on the ventures, have it checked for any codes. The ABS motor pack going out on these vans is extremely common. I have a 1999 Chevy venture with a weak ABS motor, brakes work fine, but ABS isn't fully functional. You can find a new ABS motor at a junkyard for about $100, takes less than an hour to install, or pay around $400 at a GM dealer for a brand new part that needs to be calibrated by the dealer.

remove vent covers up stairs check for blockage with flashlight,

put a fan at top of stairs blowing down, see if that improves it, or open a window up stairs to allow more air flow,

you dont bring it in to the dealer the moduale is usually in the sterring colume and you have to take it apart to do this

You can try disconnecting the battery for a min of 5 mins, make sure if your radio needs a code you have it

This would depend on the well type, deep well, shallow well, free flow well - you would need to be more specific. But the basics are: suction tube from the well, check valve to keep well primed, pump, bladder tank to create pressure and that's about it.

When the ABS light stays on it's telling you there is a problem with the ABS system and it is not functioning. There will be a code(s) set. You need to read the code(s) set in the system with the proper equipment in order to begin to make repairs.

I am assuming this is a traction control warning light. Some vehicles have yaw and roll sensors. If the sensor is bad and is returning a faulty voltage value to the module (probably the body control module) that monitors those sensors, the light will come on.

All remote key fob operations are listed in the manual. Locks can be programmed to do various things upon exit and entrance. If you have lost your manual then it can be downloaded from www.trailvoy.com or the GM website.

There are a couple of possibilities here.

If you are not getting any air flow at all near the front windshield, then you probably have something blocking the vents or the doors that control the air flow are not working.

If you have air flow, but it is taking a "long time" for the defroster to do its job, then the AC compressor is probably not working. The compressor is used in defrost mode so that it will dehumidify the air that blows on the windshield. If that doesn't work, then it can take quite a while for the defroster to work.

I had that problem too. Had to set the right wiper really low and the left one kinda high. You just have to play around with them til you get them in the right place. Move them, tighten them up some so that they don't fly off, then turn on your wipers, but be prepared to stop them quickly in case if the wipers are set wrong cuz than they will go off the sides. Hopes that helps.

If the stat is stuck open,your car will slowly overheat and not reach normal operating temperature, if it is stuck closed it will overheat very quickly.

the turn signal and headlights are 2 different sections, although i urge you to loosen both sections. locateand loosen the black plastic asymbly that holds the headlights together there are 2 bolts located on both ends of it, then loosen the side bolt that hold the turn signal asymbly and take it out( these 3 bolts are all the same size and clearly visable) there are 2 long prongs that holds the end of the asymbly that go into 2 slots and there is a clip that holds the 2 sections together,( this is located where the headlights and turn signals come together,, be extra careful when separating the 2 pieces, as the clips will become flimsy and will not fit back together snug. separate the 2 pieces by gently wiggying the clip part first,,then pull section out (the long prongs), replace the turn signal bulb by twisting and then pulling out.Replace in this manner.align the 2 long prongs and insert into frame, then slowly align the clip and soflty push until it clicks into position, retighten the bolts on the headlight part, then the side botl that holds the turnsignal assymbly together. I cant stress enough to take your time and be careful of the clip. Its a shame the way they made this, but having done this numerous times, i learned the hard way. Good Luck!

CRANK-SENSOR WAS TOUCHING PULLEY WHEN TURNING !

CHECK ALL WIRES AROUND THIS FAN BELT AREA ,AROUND BOTTOM BELT PULLEY, WHERE THE BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE GOES ON TO MOTOR MAKE SURE NO WIRES ARE BROKEN OR FRAILED OR BARE SPOTS ON WIRES TOUCHING METAL !
