sounds like a tranny job may be just around the corner, ok..heres what I'd do... Get a can of Berrymans B-12Chemtool, and add to the Auto Trans fill... Ignore what the can says, because it used to say can be used for flushing engine oil and to free valve bodies of automatics... They changed the label because people would add the stuff then LEAV IT IN!! DO NOT DO THIS!! You will be adding a can and after a MELLOW SHORT DRIVE, you (or take it to the oil changers)will be draining the trans fluid and replacing the filter (A TRANSMISSION SERVICE) Your refill of the transmission will also include a can of KW brand TransFix, or Lucas Automatic Transmission Treatment...IDEALLY BOTH !! Check for leaks, and start driving....IF the problem is fixed, great, you've DELAYED the INEVITABLE---a trans overhaul... it depends on what year and model, i am not sure but i know a few are. if your engine gets off timing, then it will damage the valves, which is a pain to fix but is possible. if your worried about this happening then replace the timing belt at 100,000 miles. its only about 50$ but will save you a lot more money, time and effort replacing valves and all the other seals that go with it
