Dodge Intrepid

I had to replace the engine in my 2002 Intrepid and it cost me a good $3,500. They have to match the year and vin number up with a compatible engine and the mechanic will need to tear the whole front end apart to lift the engine in/out. I can tell you there are very few engines left when I was searching for one a month ago.

Verrrry Carefully, Take Caliper off and loosen any screws or bolts on the rotor and then carefully knock the rotor loose with a rubber mallet hammer and take the rotor off and replace. then put the caliper back on same way you took it off.. and that's it..

The voltage regulator on a Dodge Intrepid is inside the engine computer.

Remove the access panel in the rear of the trunk. Take off the power conector. Take off the hoses. In my case no fuel came out. Mark the inside one so you don't mix it up. Loosen the bracket around pump with a socket wrench. Pop .. out comes the pump. Do the reverse to install. Not all pumps have the same power connector. You may need to splice some wires. My used replacement pump came with a different connector but wires were the same color coding. It's not a hard job providing you have access in the trunk. Otherwise you need to lower the tank and that must be a pain to do your self.

the battery is located under the hood over the front left wheel if facing car .you have to remove airfilter to get to it. difficult to reach.

After all you've done it's either "power" or "ground". You're going to have to take a test light or multi-meter and check each circuit. Start at the switch and work out from there. Sounds like a broken wire.

I have a 2000 intrepid so I think it is the same. You have to take off passenger side wheel. There is a panel toward the front of the car that you must remove and the battery is behind it on a little tray.

Trouble code P0846 means:Transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch "B" circuit range/performance

On the bottom turn of the v-belt , between the compressor and the balancer pully, there is a tensioner. Use a 1/2" socket to turn a bolt on the bottom side of the tensioner clockwise.

It means that you need to check the trans computer for codes..

It is under the upper radiator hose goose neck.

I just had the same problem with my 95 intrepid and it was the sending unit that needed to be replaced.

it's on the drivers side door or in the box under the hood.

Bulb, wire, fuse, etc.

By your decription I would think your starter has a "dead" spot in it, to double check this have someone turn the ignition key to start as you tap the bottom of the starter, if it turns over, shut off the engine (if it got started) try it a few more times, if it hits that dead spot again, replace the starter.

I know this will sound odd check Ign. switch I couldn't remove keys and had switch repaired and it started working again. go figure?
