I've got peugeot

307hdi 1.6 in first gear it wont pull away. the other day it wouldn't start and when it did it would only rev to 3k. then the next day it runs fine. but it flashed up on my on board computer pollution fault

i put a transfer case from a (i think 94'model) in my 99, the only mod was cutting down the shaft that went into the transmission about 1". i used an angel grinder and a fiber wheel hitting it with wd-40 to keep it cool and spinning the yoke continuously to keep a straight cut... i cut it flush with the mounting bolts... u can check the id tags on both transfer cases... best luck , p.s. im no mechanic but the gear ratio is the most important thing to worry about, email me if u like dallaskendalltile@live.com

Cranckshaft position sensor needs replaced!

First get the wheel off, second pull the brake drum off. If you can not get the drum off you have to lossen the breaks. There is a slot in the back of the vacuum plate on the bottom. Stick a flat screw driver in and turn adjuster counter clock wise this will lossen the break shoes. the drum should pull off. Then remove the springs; just remember which was they go back on. You can set the whole vechile on jack stand's and use the other side as a reference.

Yes but you will have to change some other components around. and if the 89 the motor was pulled out of a different fuel system you may need to convert it.. also when you order some parts you will have to order them for the motor you just put in..

No the 1999 and 2002 1500's are different body styles.

You will need to remove the dash and HVAC housing to access the heater core.

Start with disconnecting the battery.

You will then need to recover the Freon from the ac system and drain the antifreeze.

Under the hood you will need special tools to disconnect the ac lines at the firewall, remove the heater hoses, remove the engine computer and remove four nuts that hold the HVAC housing.

Inside you will have to remove the trim on the sides of the windshield, trim at the base of the doors, remove the trim below the steering column, remove the steering column, remove the trim on top of the transmission tunnel, remove the airbag computer, remove screws across the top of the dash and on the sides, unplug numerous connectors and remove the dash. You can just lay it on top of the seats.

The HVAC housing is then held in with two more nuts.

Once you get it out you then remove the screws that hold the Heater core in place. If you want to replace the evaporator coil while you are there ( a good idea ) you need to remove the screws that hold the top cover on.

You reverse all steps to install.

Do not forget to fill the antifreeze and warm the engine up before driving.

You will also need access to an ac vacuum/refill machine to recharge the ac.

Very simple. Pop the hood and locate blower motor on passenger side of wall. It is very easy to locate if you hve the replacement motor in hand. Remove the four or five bolts, unplug harness, replace with new unit and reverse steps.

My 03 Ram 1500 has a "star" head screw under each headlamp assembly. Righty tighty-brings headlamp up. Lefty loosy-brings headlamp down.

The 1996 Ram is fuel injected and does not have a choke.

You don't. But you can clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Just follow the directions on the can.

If your window dropped into the door in your 97 or 98 dodge ram 1500 here is how I fixed mine. When I removed the inside door panel and found the problem, it was a plastic roller that had broken causing the window to drop out of the track. Dodge does not sell these separately. I went to Autozone and found a plastic windshield wiper bushing for some other type car that was shaped almost like broken part. After some carving with a pocket knife and drilling a hole threw the middle so it popped onto the window stud it has worked like a charm for the last 7 years.

It sounds like wheel bearings. They make a noise while they're in one position but when you hit the brake, it moves them a little, and the noise stops.

I did this recently on my own 2003 RAM 1500. If you are lucky enough to live in a climate where rust is not a problem or where you can keep the vehicle garaged, then the process is quite easy. Otherwise, rust will cause a severe impediment to repair. Remove the rear wheel using a 7/8" socket and a lot of torque! If rusted, you'll have to bash the wheel several times or more to free it. Before you attempt to remove the rotor, determine whether or not the e-brake functions properly. If it's frozen, you'll have to contend with that. If frozen or rusted in the "on" position, then remove the cable end from the actuator link at the wheel, and tap the link to the "off" position with a hammer otherwise the e-brake pads will hold the rotor. If, however, it's stuck in the "off" position, ignore it for now. Next, loosen and remove the two caliper pins with a 10mm socket. Now, using a 13/16" 1/2" drive socket, loosen and remove the large caliper bolts. You may have to use a breaker bar. These bolts were quite hard to remove. If necessary, with a large flat bladed screwdriver, pry the pads a bit away from the rotor. Slide the caliper of the rotor and place it up on the suspension. Do not let it hang! Pry out the pads if you intend to replace them. Finally, remove the rotor from the hub. If rusted, be prepared to do a lot of work to free it up. You may have to bash it several times or more from the rear inside where the caliper was. Also, try applying some WD-40 or Liquid Wrench around the hub area and thru the stud holes and in the back. Good luck! Installation is the reverse of removal!
