How do i Turn off 2004 dodge stratus check engine light?
with an obdII scanner. stop by an auto zone they should check it for free.
Auto Zone is not supposed to reset your computer as I've experienced and/or been told so...........Disconnect your negative battery terminal (you can do it under the hood at the jump off connectors) for a minute or so. This will actually clear the code for the light being on but not take the codes out. Go to Auto Zone and they will scan the 'puter and give you a read out of the codes and problems associated with them.

Where is the location of the voltage regulator on a 2000 Dodge Stratus?
The engine computer is the voltage regulator.
Your water pump may have seized up which in turn snapped your timing belt. That is exactly what happened to my 2001 dodge stratus. You can crank it all you want. If the timing belt has snapped it won't turn over. I thought it was overheating do to a bad thermostat. Imagine my surprise when we found out the timing belt was gone and the water pump was seized. Cost over 500.00 to fix it. You may have also bent some valves when the timing belt snapped.
Most likely the pistons are seized in their bores. Probably will require a rebuild, or a replacement. (Find a good used one in a junk yard. Usually you'll get a better price; most will offer some guarantee.) And don't let this one run out of water!
First, FIND A DIFFERENT MECHANIC!!! That was terrible advice. There is a reason the manufacturer used a 20 amp fuse. Using an oversized fuse is just asking for something more expensive to burn up instead (possibly the whole car!) Second, find the wire that is shorted out. Somewhere on the circuit there is probably a bare wire that is touching a grounding point.
Where is the oxygen sensor upstream and downstream located in 99 Dodge Stratus?

Where is the fuel pump reset located on a 1998 Dodge Stratus?
It doesn't have a reset switch. The pump is computer controlled via a relay.
How do you access the battery on a Dodge Intrepid?
For a 2002 Intrepid, the access is under the air cleaner assembly, and by using the access panel in the right front wheel well.
Since nothing about it is mentioned in the owners manual, and I just did this operation in the dark last evening, I will try to be very specific. My car was built in Canada and had both US and metric nuts and bolts. I had 1/2", 9 and 10 mm nuts and bolts. I used both wrenches and sockets.
1. Turn steering to far right. If the battery is dead, the power steering pump will not be working, so it will take a good deal of effort. Be sure to have the ignition key in the On position so the steering wheel lock is open. This will allow the steering wheel to turn with damaging the mechanism.
2. I found it easiest to unclip the top of the air clear, loosen the clamp that hose clamp, and then remove the entire top of the cleaner. (If it has been awhile, suggest considering air cleaner filter replacement.)
3. To remove the bottom of the air cleaner assembly, there is a bullet shaped tipped anchor to the right of the housing. Lift up from underneath the housing until that side is free. There are two more anchors to the left inside of the housing, pull the housing to the right to free them. Remove housing and set aside.
4. Now the top of the battery is visible enough to see the battery clamp with two nuts holding the clamp. I found it easier to remove both nuts to get the clamp out of the way.
5. The right wheel access panel has five screws that will need to be removed. The access panel will come free by lifting from the bottom tab on the panel and wiggling the panel to move out of the wheel well.
6. Access to the battery terminal closest to the firewall side can come from the wheel well, or from the top. Loosen nut on the battery terminal clamp and free the cable. I found it best to get the cable back out of the way by trapping it in the nearby hoses.
7. Slide the battery away from the front (towards the firewall) so that access to the other battery terminal is made. Loosen the battery cable nut and free the battery from the cable.
8. I found it easier to slide the battery out the opening in the wheel well, but others mention lifting the battery from the top. At this point, whatever method is used feels like a major accomplishment.
9. Installation of the battery is using the reverse of these steps.
10. Buy a long life battery so that you don't need to go through this exercise again. I can't imagine doing this on the side of the road, in the winter, etc..
Change the turn signal flasher relay on 2000 dodge stratus?
Turn signal and hazard flasher use the same relay. it is located at top inside the steering column on the back of the multifunction switch (turn signal) It is a small black box behind the button for the Hazards. at the bottom of the steering column you have to remove 2 or 3 screws to get the plastic cover off. ALWAYS disconnect the negative battery cable from under the hood first to avoid setting off the airbags by accident. The flasher is a solid state device meaning that it has a chip and electronics inside rather than old fashioned magnets and terminals . it rarely goes bad and the real prob is more likely bad wiring. Pure Pink wire is power for the switches.
How do you replace the valve cover gasket located on a 1996 Dodge Neon SOHC?
A broken valve cover gasket will lead to a very large oil leak, replacing it is relatively simple requiring only basic tools. First unplug the battery and remove the spark plugs, along with all the valve cover mounting nuts and bolts. Remove the old gasket and set the new one in place, using a gasket sealer is recommended.
Why does your battery light come on in a 2005 Dodge Stratus?
Insufficient voltage from the alternator would be typical. If you have a DMM or voltage meter, test the alternator. You should be looking at between 13.6 - 14.6 volts from the alternator... if you're getting less than that, your alternator's on its way out, and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. In a nutshell, your alternator isn't sufficiently recharging your battery, and running your car is draining the battery. It'll continue to run until the battery goes dead. In a newer car, you'll notice nonessential systems start to shut off (e.g., radio, power windows and seats, etc.) as the LVD (low voltage disconnect) kicks in for the sake of maximizing battery life to run essential systems. This is something you really don't want to wait on. If you don't have the aforementioned tools, any auto parts store (NAPA, Advanced, O'Reilly, Auto Zone, et. al) will have the equipment to test your alternator, and can also help you with removal and installation.
