real bad head gasket or stuck thermostat You might want to check the oil and see if it is a milky white. Also look at the exhaust to see if it is blowing white smoke. It could possibly mean blown head gasket, or a cracked head.

well its gonna cost u about 30-40 dollars for the timing belt, and 30- 40 dollars a piece for the rotors, 20-30 for the front brake pads, not to mention the labor for all this which is about, ball park, 500-750 dollars, but I love my Talon Tsi would trade for the world, so the point is yes, yes it is worth it

There are several different types of material that can be used to replace the intake hose piping. If the oem hose is not available auto part stores will cut an appropriate length hose using the same material.

Pull the fuse for the fuel pump out of the fuse box

The crank positioning sensor is located on the opposite side of the block as the timing belt.

Near one of the top pulleys is a spring loaded tensioner; find it and insert a ratchet on it and pry it back to release tension. Pay attention to how the belt runs so you can remember how it goes around the pulleys.

If it's on the back, possible rear main seal leak. Is there oil leaking onto the driveway? Another possiblity is valve cover leak. Its best to check your valve cover closely for leaks and fix them (if present) first prior to replacing the rear main seal.

but they do make block heaters for some gas cars.

Brake fluid is in resevior on master cylinder. Look in engine compartment on firewall just in front of steering wheel. The brake booster is a large round drum and the master cylinder is attached to it. Use a flat screwdriver to slide the two clips off the flat lid. remove lid to add fluid as needed, but remember brake fluid will remove paint, so be careful.

A bad Fuel Pump can cause starting problems and so can a bad timing belt. How many miles are on the car? If it's more than 100,000...take a look at your timing belt. Is it worn? Chrysler recommends replacement at 60,000 but some last up to 100,000. Any longer than that is pushing it and asking for a problem. A bad fuel pump will not allow enough fuel to fire the engine. I had mine go out about 3 years ago and had a similar problem as you are describing. I am leaning toward fuel pump on this one.

to much boost, to low of octane fuel, carbon buildup on pistons, ignition timing is to far advanced. take your pick

the talon tsi creates 210 horsepower and does not top 200 mph!!! ot maxes like 147. After 100 mph the power really goes away because of the awd. It is fast for the money but not my ride

i dont know the complete difference betwen the years but my 1996 Talon tsi awd is stock 210 hp, and tops at 130mph because of the governver. but the power stays pretty strong even past 100mph. 0-100 in little less then 16 seconds. stock.

The ecu and also pcm are both located by the driver side feet panel. The middle console behind the CD player and gear shifter.

Go to the gas pedel.

Look over to the right you will see a panel blocking the middle console.

Un screw and unclip it then you will expose the electric wiring harness.

ecu will be the bigger silver box. next to the smaller..black/silver box (pcm)

No you don't. Pick up a Haynes or a Chilton at your local auto parts store. It's very simple.

i just replaced mine in my 95 tsi awd, i got the act2100 clutch was around 300 and if you do replace the clutch you need to replace the flywheel in which our flywheels are discontinued for stock so you need to get an upgradeded one which i got the act prolite which is for our car that was around 350 that's the best way to go unless you have lots of mods you can go up to 2600 2900

tsi is for turbo I belive. Mine is a non turbo esi.

is this a turbo model???... if so it has 450cc denso injectors

check to see if the evaporater is working or if its leaking, then check for leaks on ac lines going threw out ur engine bay

1) You actually have a low coolant level. Top off your radiator, bleed out the air in the system, and check the LOW COOLANT light again. 2) The coolant level sensor, located on the coolant recovery tank, has gone bad or became disconnected. Check to see if it is connected. If it is disconnected, plug it in and check for the LOW COOLANT light. If it IS connected, disconnect it and verify that the LOW COOLANT light is still on. While you're in there, check the underside of the oil and radiator caps for sludging or a milky substance which may indicate the intake manifold gasket failure common to these vans equipped with the 3.4L engine.
