JPEG is the same as JPG. However if you really want to rename your .jpeg images into .jpg, you can go to Command Prompt, navigate to the folder of where your pictures are stored, and type in:

ren *.jpeg *.jpg

Random access simply means the ability to read and write anywhere in the file, as opposed to sequential access where data is simply appended to the end of the file and is accessed by traversing from the start of the file in sequential order. Random access is ideally suited to data arrays where every element in the file is exactly the same length, allowing constant-time traversal from one element to any other, in both directions. If the data is also sorted, random access also allows binary search to improve search efficiency.

A jpg or jpeg file is a jpeg file is a jpeg file. It is an image file that can be used anywhere including websites. The only difference might be the actual size and therefore quality of the image in question. When you want to put an image online you want to make it small and efficient and therefore easier and faster to download when someone views it online. We take pictures all the time and the file size of these images can typically be HUGE. We don't need all the data stored in the file when placing it on a screen image so we save it in a smaller format when we need to.

If you're not worried about filespace: .WAV files.

If you'd rather conserve space & still maintain quality: .FLAC files (.ALAC for Apple devices)

The type of photo file formats that the PlayStation 3 can support are JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PNG and MPO.

The professional version of Adobe Acrobat allows you to save as or export to a jpeg file. The free version of Acrobat Reader does not have this functionality. A work around may be to place or import the Adobe file into a word processing program and then save as or export the Word file as a jpeg. The document can also be re-scanned as a jpeg file for a third option. If the document has text I would not recommend a jpeg file for anything other than viewing on a monitor.

I renamed xxxxxx.pspimage to xxxxx.psp and this tool converted it to the format I choosed from the many on the list. However the app opens only .pspimage, and there is no way to change this, so you have to rename the file.

Most modern operating systems are not directly responsible for file management functions. Instead the operating system calls one of possibly several file management systems to provide these functions. This gives much greater flexibility and the ability to exchange files on different media (e.g. FAT, NTFS, HFS+, CD/DVD/UDF ISO-13346, Files-11).

It does play wave files and mp3, but only play mp3 in tracks form not any mp3 file.

There is no such standard since different architectures support different executable formats while some support multiple formats. For instance, Windows 32-bit supports MZ (DOS) and PE format, while 64-bit also supports PE32+, all of which have an EXE file extension. Windows also supports the older COM (DOS) format. But, as with most file extensions, the extension is simply a method of organising files by type and for associating file types to specific applications, but they tell you nothing about the file itself. Only by physically loading the file and examining its header (if it has one) can the operating system determine its actual type. In other words, renaming a COM file to an EXE file doesn't actually change the file type; it has to be completely recompiled from source.

The Apple Mac doesn't use extensions in the same way Windows does (many Mac files have no extension at all), but machine code executables are in the Preferred Executable Format (PEF), also known as Code Fragment Manager (CFM) files.

Linux (and Unix) typically use the Executable and Link Format (ELF).

Although each format obviously has its own standard header, there is no standard header that applies to all executables across all architectures.

That will depend on the duration of the movie (i.e. there will be fewer longer movies that will fit in that space than shorter movies).

1. Select a professional caliber photo-editing computer software program to convert your selected image.
2. Upload or scan in the JPG image you want to convert to a vector image.
3. The image needs to be large and detailed enough so you can zoom in. It should be 600 by 600 pixels or larger.
4. Open your image in the photo-editing software and click on the layers toolbar, separating the layers.
5. Select the background layer and duplicate it twice.
6. Select the top copy of the background layer and click on the visibility tab, turning off its visibility.
7. Click on the middle copy and desaturate it by clicking on the 'Edit' tab and selecting 'Fade Desaturate.'
8. Select the middle copy and hit the 'Images' tab, clicking to 'Posterize' the layer.
9. Adjust the posterization to level 9 and rename the layer 'Posterized.'
10. Select the background copy and click on the 'Visibility' tab, changing it to visible.
11. Click on the 'Layers' tab, and click to create a new layer then drag it to sit behind the background copy.
12. Use the eye dropper tool to select an element of the photo and use the pen tool to trace around the part of the image that is the selected color.
13. Add a new layer for each element and color of the picture (i.e., a layer for the dark brown of the tree, a layer for the light brown of the tree, and a layer for the black in the tree's bark).
14. With each layer, trace it with the pen tool and use the eyedropper to take the original color and drop it in to the traced shape.
15. Vary the opacity of each layer by dragging the slidebar to make it more transparent. This will make the final product more realistic and 3-dimensional.
16. Zoom in and out to catch shadows and more subtle shadings in the image, adding additional layers and tracings for each shadow.
17. Save the final image with the .eps file ending to keep the vector formatting intact.

You don't need to, just look at the file format. TTF is TrueType font, .jpg would be a type of bitmap font.

TIFF is a lossless compression. JPEG throws away data to reduce file sizes.
