if its r12 refrigerant your screwed , needs to be taken to a shop and drained of refrigerant and oil in refrigerant system, r12 is no longer in use, if you find a shop that has it still it will cost you, price has gone way up, there is a r12 to r41a conversion kit that you can get at most autoparts stores. it replaces seals and i think other things but dont remember, its real easy, with motor running and a/c on highest setting connect hose with kit from refrigerant can to high or low side, again dont remember, says in instructions with kit, and shake can a little until empty or gauge on hose reads good, a/c should get colder, and should only hold a couple pounds or so of refrigerant , r41a you buy your self, r12 is highly regulated and you need a licence to use, its an ozone depleting chemical

Varistors are not polarity sensitive.

Now I'm pretty sure that the device in question is a varistor. I googled for SAS-820KD05, found several references but unfortunately no data sheet - maybe you have more luck.

if its brown its rust or maybe dirt, if its clear, there is more water then coolant, should be about 50/50 water and coolant. strait water is fine in summer if there is no freezing weather, but will rust faster then with a coolant water mix

Some coolants go from blue or green to a cherry red, indicating an air leak to the water jacket; normally an early indication of a blown head gasket.

Coolants that start red, darken or go yellow when there is an air leak. get the dealership or local garage to do a coolant system pressure test. Early diagnosis can stop a heap of financial pain.

If you have 2 fuel tanks the problem may be the switching valve between the tanks, some times the get stuck if you rap on it lightly with a wrench it can release the valve in it to let the fuel to flowby I have had this problem on both a gas and diesel trucks rapping on it can be a cheap fix if that doesn't work check the power to the valve. First remove the long tie rod from the pitman arm. You will need a tie rod removal fork to get it off. Next remove the power steering hoses with something for the fluid to drain into. Then remove three mounting bolts from the frame. Be carefull, its heavy.

The map sensor on a 1990 Ford 5.8 EFI Bronco is on the passenger side. It is located on the firewall.

It's right next to the right side (driver side) of the distributor. It has a wire L shaped boot on top of it.

full size bronco should be the 9 inch axle, maybe an 8.8 inch but i think they came out late 80's early 90's. easy to tell the difference, the 8.8 has bolts in the to remove the rear cover and has a more square shape to it, the 9 inch has no rear cover, the front can be removed with the whole third member ( front of rear axle where drive shaft is, the pinion, and all the gears inside axle ) and the 9 inch has a very round shape to it. the 9 inch is the better one to have
